I Became A System

Chapter 147 - The Supreme

At the headquarters of the Mysterious Organization

In the room of the supreme leader of the organization, there sat a mysterious man whose face is not visible to others. His face was somewhat concealed by the shadow of his not-so-bright room.

He sighed as he took out a cigarette and lit it.

"That bitch really irritates me. No target should escape our wrath. Yet, after those special squads, she even dares to wipe them out and capture their commander?" he said in an incredulous tone.

"Which makes her more interesting. Right? Supreme?" A lady who is his assistant said.

She has blonde hair and an uninterested face, seemingly a static version of her face.

The Supreme smiled and stood up. He nodded.

"Yup you are right. That makes her interesting. That's why I am stopping all the operations against her. And tell Uno to never get associated with her. His sister is with that bitch, and that bastard is a pushover."

"Yes, Supreme."

The Supreme left his room and went straight into a hall room. It was a meeting room, to be exact, but it was a wide hall since, at a long table, there were plenty of people.

It was the directors, also a representative from a sub-group of the organization's rules.

He sat down on a chair in the middle of the long table and reached for the microphone artifact on it.

"How come that all of you are present here?" he said in a tone deep enough to intimidate them.

One of the directors answered.

"Because Master, someone slipped through our operation. Our pride is on the line. We can't let her live."

The Supreme scoffed, then took a paper from the pile that was on top of the table. He read the contents and put it back.

"Forget about it. We can't kill her right now."

They were surprised. As they were in disbelief, they reached out and asked the Supreme.

This is something that they can't ignore, to be precise. Since they are all well known in the underworld, the other group would laugh at them because everyone in the underworld knew that their group made a mistake in killing one person.

The first mission to kill Ellena in the artificial forest owned by the Murphey family failed. It was a huge operation which also makes it easy to be known. And with a small investigation from other organizations, they were pointed out.

The Supreme caressed his head.

"Because I want to. I can't?" he said in a deep tone.

His eyes were as if they were lit in red, intimidating them. And of course, they were so intimidated that they remained silent for a moment before asking again.

"Forgive us. But can we ask why you want to? Master?"

"It's because that girl has plenty of abilities. As for what the second operation report gave us, it's ridiculous if she has a normal ability to defeat a berserker. Of course, that bitch has something up in her sleeves. That's why we couldn't kill her with the special squads."

"The Special squads... weren't the strongest squad we had, Master." one again said.

"I know. But still, in the weakest dukedom of the kingdom, how could someone defy death from one of our operations, in which our organization had a 98% success rate? That's why I want you to stop pursuing her. I want you to watch her and report everything you'll know from her."

They were silent. In fact, they couldn't find any reason to question their master's decision.

Hell, it is a ridiculous decision if they question his decision. In the underworld, their Supreme is called the 'Hell's Underdog' as his might is as strong as a demon.

The meeting concluded, and just like that, the Supreme left the room with his subordinates still in confusion.

Ellena is indeed a fascinating person. Even others who were skeptical at first already agreed with their master. If they could watch her growth, it could mean that they might be able to pick her and bring her to their ranks.

She's still green, and right now, if they try to recruit her, she'll surely not join them as they threatened her life in the past. And as an alternative, they'll watch her growth and come back after she has matured.

Her past actions were already in order. A gruesome person who kills without any second thoughts. She's just qualified to be in their ranks. But don't they just capture her and use her as they want?

The Supreme doesn't like that. He kills but doesn't kidnap. Those were his thoughts and morals that he couldn't ignore. In fact, they are just a killing machine organization and they just accept assassination requests.

In the whole kingdom's underworld, they are at the top. And all they wanted to be known for were their murders. Not the kind of people who play dirty tricks like kidnapping.

The Supreme sat on his chair in his room once again. And as he doesn't have anything to do, he just closed his eyes and tried to sleep. With his assistant still by his side, he didn't mind being seen as slothful.

Beam!

The room was lit violently. In the middle of the room, a white light radiated with a person, who appeared to have the same features as an angel, went down.

The assistant was shocked. Her eyes became in conflict with her personality. However, the Supreme was still in. His face was not budging and was uninterested as the angel-like went down.

"So what are you doing here, brother?" The Supreme asked.

The assistant widened her eyes. Brother? Did he call that angel-like brother? It was the first time she had heard it!

The angel-like glared at him. With his long platinum hair that reaches his waist, he brushed the strands that covered his face, revealing an attractive young man's face that had blue eyes and thin lips.

His body also couldn't be neglected. His wings were like a dove's wings as their white feathers reflected the light from above.

He was wearing a loose white robe with a gold belt around his waist.

"You dare to question why I am here? Are you stupid? Because I demand you to go back to our plane." A soft voice of the young man resounded.

It smote the heart of the assistant that within the second he spoke, she blushed.

The Supreme saw it and just grumbled in exasperation.

"I don't want to. Even what happens on our plane, I'm out. Why? Are the dimensional chaos that hard to deal with?" The Supreme asked casually.

"Uhm... of course they are. Are you stupid? Does living on flat land make you stupid? Come back now! We need you."

The Supreme still shook his head and looked at the eyes of his brother.

"Rafael..."

"Yes, brother."

"Get lost."

The hope that was slightly built within him grumbled in defeat.

"Brother! Please come back!" the angel-like Rafael kneeled in despair.

"I will come back."

"Really?"

"But after I conclude my things here."

A new hope sprouted in Rafael. He stood up and reached the table with his elbows on top of it.

"When?"

"Maybe in 30 years."

"Oh curse you!"
