The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 123: Triple Shells

Chapter 123: Triple Shells

But before Fang Yu could stand up and make her escape, Fang Jia beat her to the punch.

With her age and experience, Fang Jia was able to compose herself much quicker than Fang Yu. She noticed that Fang Yu was trying to make the run for it. Fang Jia smiled amicably as she shot her hands out to Fang Yu.

“Stay here little girl, your husband is waiting for you!” Even though her cultivation right now regressed at the First Stage, Fang Jia was confident that she can easily restrain Fang Yu.

Because her cultivation base was only at the First Stage now, Fang Jia cannot use her dao insights to fight against Fang Yu. But she can still emulate her spells on her attacks. She knows that even a talented Fang Yu cannot withstand her attack.

Fang Jia’s Dao was the Dao of saber. The saber represented her personality. She can be gentle at times, but when the situation requires it, she can attack with ferocity.

With her current cultivation base, she cannot use her prized saber. The only weapon she had now was her body.

Fang Jia’s right arm straightened itself as she raised it high in the air. An unfathomable aura shrouded her right arm as she sent it down towards Fang Yu!

“It’s the Saberforce!” Fang Yu’s mind rang warning alarms as she recognized it.

For those who walk in the path of weapons, their primary goal was to attune and connect themselves with the nature of their weapon. Once their insights on their weapons has reached a certain level, they will inevitably develop a force related to their weapons!

This force further improves the abilities of the weapon while also giving the weapon wielder more insights.

For the sword wielders, this force will be the swordforce. The swordforce will drastically improve their sword’s sharpness. For the spear wielders, it will be the spearforce and it will improve its penetrability.

Ling Tian, with his freakish talent managed to develop his swordforce in his past life. But in his current life, he had kept it hidden. He will only show his swordforce when he felt it was right.

Fang Jia however, had no such kind of thinking. She immediately went all out because she knew that Fang Yu was an absolute genius like Xiao Ya.

Because she was currently in the First Stage, her saberforce was not in its complete form. The First Stage is the stage related on building the foundation on the higher stages. Insights can only be fully used at the Second Stage.

If Fang Jia was at the Second Stage, her saberforce can show its full might. But right now, she had to make do with what she had.

But even when she was facing Fang Jia’s attack, Fang Yu seemed to be not perturbed.

She put both her hands in front of her as she lowered her body. Fang Jia sneered upon seeing that Fang Yu wanted to receive her attack head-on.

“Sorry Fang Lin, but it seems like you may see your wife with broken arms.” Fang Jia silently swore to herself that she will appease her grandson later.

“Woosh.”

But instead of the sounds of Fang Yu’s arms cracking, what Fang Jia heard was the sound of Fang Yu spinning away from her.

Fang Yu, with her innate yin body, had mainly dabbled in the Law of Yin. And with her Emperor Grade Insight, she has some moves that she has saved for situations like this.

Yin can be correlated with softness. With this insight, Fang Yu managed to come up with the technique of repelling hardness with softness.

Fang Jia’s domineering attack earlier had been easily redirected by Fang Yu through the use of her body and with her yin essence. Fang Yu then used the force behind Fang Jia’s attack to catapult herself out of the house.

Fang Jia could only watch as Fang Yu rushed towards the exit of the house. But before Fang Yu could even bolt out the door, she felt an obstruction blocking her from proceeding forward. Not only that, but she was also catapulted back by this obstruction!

“What the hell is this?” Fang Yu cries out as she was back in the middle of the room. As for Fang Jia, she sat on her reclining chair as she closed her eyes.

She seems satisfied as she saw Fang Yu’s expression.

“That, little girl, was a prison formation we put here once you were inside the house. With your master’s capabilities, she might have given you some sort of trump card. I have your spirit ring and other valuables locked in this box.” She tapped on a wooden box beside her.

“Even with your things in here, you might have hidden something with you to help you escape. With this formation, even teleportation talismans will not work.” Fang Yu’s expression fell for she just attempted to use a teleportation talisman just now.

Just like what Fang Jia said, the teleportation talisman did not work at all!

She looked back at Fang Jia who gave her a smile.

“We had placed those Third and Fourth Stage Practitioners outside to protect this place. I am sure those fellow disciple of yours will be rushing here to save you.” Fang Jia then frowned as she remembered the weird Stage regression that just happened.

“Why did our power suddenly regressed to the First Stage? This is baffling.”

It was at that moment that they heard the arrogant voice talking about the Underworld Suppressing Formation.

Fang Jia’s expression changed as she realized this place was going to be a warzone later.

“Damned Underworld! Why did you invade our planet?” Fang Jia stood up as she announced loudly,

“You heard what that man said! I now order all of you to prepare for we will be leaving immediately! Prepare your things! We must not be caught in the battle later!”

“Madam, but how about Fang Lin...” One of the practitioners hesitantly asked Fang Jia.

“No. 5. Can just bring him straight to the Fang Clan! With an information like this, No. 5. might already know about the Underworld Invasion. As long as he was not an idiot, he will fetch Fang Lin and he will head back to the Fang Clan to wait for us.”

“Madam! We can all leave now!”

Fang Jia nodded as she flipped some chairs inside the house. Suddenly the house transformed and it suspiciously appeared to be the interior of a spirit ship. Fang Yu could only gawk as she realized the house she was in now was the spirit ship of Fang Jia!

“Now, little girl, we shall use this spirit ship to go at the Fang Clan. There, you shall await the arrival of your husband!” Even though Fang Yu struggled to run away, she still found herself trapped in the formation.

But before Fang Jia could gloat any further, her mouth dropped open as she looked out of the window. She then stared at the spectacle at the sky.

There, 5 Fifth Stage Practitioners hovered in the sky. Their bodies were brimming with power as they waved their hands continuously.

Suddenly, another massive translucent dome appeared, covering the entire Solstice Kingdom. From the looks of it, this was another prison formation!

One of the Fifth Stage Practitioners then spoke up.

“This is a powerful prison formation we employed for situations like this. This formation is just simple. It still allows anyone to enter the formation but it does not allow anyone to leave the formation. That means once you are inside, you cannot get out. And with your measly First Stage strength, you all cannot hope to break the formation.”

Fang Jia knew their motives for putting such formation here. With these formation, they can allow powerful armies from other places of the Immortal Continent to enter the Kingdom. These armies will surely be helpful on fighting the Underworld Soldiers.

Aside from that, the formation will also restrict the Underworld Soldiers from leaving the Kingdom.

With this formation, the practitioners can surely slow down the advance of the Underworld Soldiers.

However, this means that Fang Jia and her entourage cannot leave the Solstice Kingdom now!

Fang Yu could only mutter,

“So, I am now trapped in a shell within a shell within a shell. How great.”
