The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 524: Feng Shui Armor

Chapter 524: Feng Shui Armor

"When you pick up the reward, the information accompanying it would naturally be transmitted to you"

"But if you wish, you can also purchase this same information for 15,000"

Daisy responded and Min Hong could have sworn that he sensed a little bit of sneer within her statement as he grabbed the hilt of the sword, and just as Daisy had pointed, the information did flow into Min Hong's mind and its name was the 'Feng Shui Armor'

According to the description, it was an armor that allows its user to fight at an almost equal footing with all enemies stronger than its user up to a 5 stage difference in cultivation

It was a set of armor that had a hooded cloak and a protective mask which depicted a face that was grinning devil on one part and a wailing demon on the other side and at its forehead was an ancient mysterious rune etched into it

It had an extremely flexible protective shoulder plate which had some runes etched on both shoulders which had unknown properties and function

The upper arms are protected with a similar material as that of the shoulder plates, and they sat perfectly beneath the shoulder plate in a way that leaves negligible gaps which was there for the easy maneuverability of the wielder's arms

The lower arms were covered with flexible vambraces of the same material as the shoulder plates, and this vambraces had runes etched on them as well

The breastplate was made from similar material and sat beneath the shoulder plate perfectly whilst covering everything from his chest down to his groin from both the front, the back and the sides leaving an ample arm space where the hand would go through and be able to move freely;

Then right in the middle of the plate was an ancient rune etched at both the front and the back

The upper leg [Lap area] was covered in a similar material which also had a rune etched on each part of it, and the lower leg [Shin area] was also covered by two shin guards made from the similar flexible material with a rune on each of them

Then there were boots which also had runes etched beneath them and strangely were all made from similar material

The material that made up this armor was described to be the actual skin of an ancient demonic dragon which was conquered in the 'Great War' and it was extremely lightweight to the extent of making its user feel like they have been wrapped in a layer of aluminum foil

Beneath all these armor was another one-set, skin tight, flesh hugging piece of outfit which looked like the shed outer skin of a serpent of some sort, and it was also lightweight and felt extremely durable to the touch

The mask on the face was made from the molten bones of this demonic dragon and when Min Hong touched it, it absorb a little bit of his Qi and began to ripple with some strange energy that made the entire face alternate between the grinning devil and wailing demon and some other type of expression which depends on Min Hong's emotions

This  means it can also have an infuriated expression which no one knew what looked like until Min Hong happen to use it in such an emotional state in the future

The rune on the forehead was actually described to be the eye of the Feng Shui Phoenix, which wasn't actually a real eye but a kind of sensor that detects approaching objects that are spiritual and illusory in nature

The runes on the chest and back area was attuned to be as hard as the shell of the Feng Shui Turtle; granting him ultimate defense in the front and the back, whilst the ones on the arms and legs were attuned to be as strong as that of the Feng Shui Tiger granting him explosive power in all four limbs

The runes beneath his boot however was attuned to alternate between the ghost like speed of the Feng Shui Phoenix and the explosive stomping power of the Feng Shui Tiger;

And then finally;

Was the cape of the cloak which also had a rune of its own which almost resembled an emblem and it was attuned to give and alternate between the flight ability, maneuverability and speed of both the Feng Shui Dragon and Phoenix

The runes were said to only project the properties and abilities of these four Feng Shui beasts and the exact amount of power it can release would be dependent on the wielder's ability and total battle power

This meant that this armor was an overpowered treasure that increases in strength alongside its user, and if one were to give an example;

The runes on the chest area meant that Min Hong would receive zero damage from anyone who was beneath the 6 Star Nirvana/Samsara stage since Min Hong himself has a total battle power of an expert in the 5 Star Nirvana/Samsara stage

But as everything always had a downside, this armor would receive a 25 percent increase in damage for every additional stage to the attacking power, up to 100 percent

This means Min Hong would receive a 25 percent Damage from a 6 Star Nirvana/Samsara stage expert, and then 50 percent from a 7 Star, 75 percent from an 8 Star and bear the full brunt of the attack from a 9 Star Nirvana/Samsara stage expert

Though, it is not a major flaw but it means that should a 9 Star Nirvana stage expert attack Min Hong, the armor would become useless and the rest would be left to how much damage Min Hong's physical body defense itself could carry

On the other hand though, Min Hong's attack would also be amplified by the same rate as he fights with those stronger than him, which meant he would be able to double his attack power when fighting a 9 Star Nirvana Stage expert;

That means he would have the same attack power as his opponent [a 9 Star Nirvana Stage expert], and it would have been more if not for the natural disparity in the Qi quality and strength between him and his opponent which stands at the 5 Stars and 9 Stars Nirvana Stage each.
