Titan Rising Online: World Breaker

Chapter 127 127: One Night In The Caribbean I

Cole tightened the strap on his chest as he made some last minute checks in the tactical gear he had on. There were already close enough to the island but it was in doing so they realized that they had more problems than they initially thought. Apparently the island had way more defenses arranged all over it than they had initially thought, including anti-aircraft artillery.

It was causing a lot of confusion amongst the gathered Zodiacs present. Cole scoffed, what would possess Sierra corp to name the security detail they sent to him after the zodiac was something he would never understand. And while he thought it was corny and cheesy, he would not lie and say he als9nfound it very cool to have code names like dragon, rabbit and dog. It made for an extremely efficient and intimidating force.

"I don't know why you guys are just posturing and arguing over the right method of approach. This craft has a stealth mode does it not?" Cole asked as he checked on his two revolvers, still not sure how in the hell it was possible that they were with him right now. He moved his hand to his back and grasped empty air, letting out an annoyed sigh at the absence of Black Malakai, he was growing fond of that blade if he had to be honest, it was an extension of himself that he really could not do without.

"it does has a stealth mode sir, but based on our readings they have radar equipment on the island that's designed to pierce through the standard stealth mode. We did not think we would be going up against such superior equipment, all we did was pick a transport and follow." The man talking was not even a member of the Zodiacs, he was one of his grandmother's retainers, which explains the lack of planning and tact, the Zodiacs were trained professionals in much the same manner as Cole, they would have prepared for all eventualities.

"Well put it in stealth mode and bring the craft down until it is barely above the water, all I need is for them not to be able to see me dropping out of it. I'll handle everything else from there and disabled the security systems. The radar will flag me, but seeing as it would be just me it would not raise any costs other than me being a random shark or some other shit. So you guys should sit tight and wait for my signal." Cole said as he got up and went to the back of the craft, kissing his grandmother on the head as he walked past her.

"Umm forgive me sir but this, signal what would it be? I mean what exactly am I looking for?" instead of Cole to answer it was the leader of the Zodiacs the one that had introduced himself as Dragon that spoke.

"Don't worry my friend, you will know when you see it." Cole grinned at him then picked up an assault rifle before grabbing a tactical mask and sliding it over his head. He waited for the craft they were to get into position as the ramp lowered, letting in the cold air of the Caribbean seas, along with a spray of water that was effective in making him more alert. He turned around and looked at the massive monitor that was displaying the island and how close they were getting to it.

The fact that they were so low meant that they couldn't really utilize their anti-aircraft artillery effectively. There were probably mines in set locations around the island but by this point it was just speculations. But if they could raise up all this protections 8n order to keep themselves safe from retaliation then, there was no telling what other nasty things they had in store in Case Cole came calling…. Not that it mattered to him, nothing would ever stop him for his goal, as to what that was….. it remained to be seen.

"Now sir!" they called out to him as Cole jumped, for a moment he enjoyed the feeling of weightless ness before he was suddenly dragged by the wind draft of the craft and bounced multiple times over the surface of the sea before he crashed into it. Cole cursed out in annoyance as he activated the breathing function of the tactical mask, ignoring the sting he was currently feeling across his entire body.

He huffed as he looked around, quite happy that his night vision abilities as a Raen spawn had also translated into the real world…. Or at least his world. He chuckled when he noticed that he had not been wrong, the ocean was absolutely littered with mines. He was about a kilometer away from the island itself, and he could see various access points into it by way of massive pipes that stretched into the sea to probably dispose of wastes.

With no time to loose Cole swam towards the pipes, but with absolutely no intention of swimming through filth. He used them as a means to position himself and find the right side of the Island that he could get up from. He was about 10 meters away when a shower of bullet whizzed into the water, moving past his body and his looked up to notice that there was a speed boat directly over his head. Obviously they had seen him on the radar and they were now trying to find a way neutralize him, unfortunately for them, it would take a whole lot more than that to stop him.

[Lesser Mind Control]

This was one of the abilities he had found that he could actually use without or perhaps very little strain or drain on himself. He continued his advancement as flashes of light lit up the surface of the water as one person opened fire on the rest of his team. If he was lucky they would take themselves out, if not well…. He should just hope he doesn't run into Cole again, he was not really in a merciful mood tonight.

He stepped into the island to almost a dozen guns pointed at him. Cole rolled his eyes, his uncle was being really thorough, and he knew that paranoia did not come from him fearing Cole, but rather the person behind him. Not even his father, but rather the every dangerous and mysterious Matriarch. Cole could not blame him if he had to be honest, perhaps if he were in the same position he would also be this skittish about a powerful woman who's two grandsons he had murdered in cold blood.

"Drop your weapon! Hands in the air! Get on your knees! Don't move!" Cole paused as he raised an eyebrow up, he looked at the people who had spoken one by one before replying.

"Seriously? Which one do you guys want me to do huh? Should I drop my weapon, or leave my hands in the air, or get on my knees or should I not move? You all are supposed to be in agreement over this sort of thing before you accost the person that's trying to sneak into your island. This is confusing man, and it's just not right, so let me make it easier on you. You guys should drop your own weapons, and I promise I will make your deaths as painless as possible. Right? That's a good deal right?"

*Bang!*

Cole took a step back as a bullet smashed into the ground where his foot was occupying a few moments ago. He raised his head up in shock and asked, his voice a very dangerous low growl.

"Did you just fucking shoot at me?"

There were no answers to be given, so Cole reacted. He moved, far faster than what any normal human being should have been capable off. He smashed the butt of his rifle into the face of the man who had just shot at him, eliciting a Yelp from him, as Cole grabbed his Collar and dragged him close as he stepped back, and just in time for the man's comrades to open fire and pepper him full of holes with the bullets from their guns.

And as they did so, in the same chaos, Cole kept on firing his own gun, picking them off one at a time with specific single burst headshots that they never realized was happening until it was only two of them left. And through it all, somehow, Cole had not even been grazed by a single bullet. He stepped back and let go of the dead body that had previously been his meat shield, but before he would let it fall to the ground, Cole smashed his foot into the corpse's sternum blasting him backwards into two of the guards left as Cole rolled forwards dodging more bullets.

He came out of the roll and fired into the foot of the two guards still remaining. He ignored their screams and put a bullet each in the middle of their faces, right at the bridge of their nose. The other two were finally getting up to their feet, only for them to Cole face to face with a one way ticket to hell.

*Ratata* *Ratata*

Cole observed his handiwork then nodded to himself as he said. "Not bad for an early morning workout….. now on to more appetizers….hehehehe this is going to be fun!"
