After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 322

Even if it meant resorting to emotional manipulation, Grandpa Qin wanted Qin Xian to make the trip. After all, if someone asked why the head of the family hadn’t shown up, and the answer was “because of childhood trauma,” it would be downright embarrassing. People wouldn’t sympathize.

The more he thought about it, the more he felt that Qin Xian’s parents were being overly cautious.

After all these years, wasn’t Qin Xian doing just fine? He had become such a young and outstanding business leader. How could he not handle a trip to Y City?

Grandpa Qin came from a generation that believed enduring hardship was the key to greatness.

“After all I’ve said, you understand my intentions, right? Can you come?” Grandpa Qin asked wearily.

Qin Xian closed his eyes for a moment before finally replying, “Alright, I’ll go with Ji Fei.”

Grandpa Qin breathed a sigh of relief, his voice brimming with joy. “Good, good, good.”n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

After hanging up, Qin Xian looked down at Ji Fei, who was nestled in his arms, and smiled. “We’re going to spend a month in Y City with the family.”

Ji Fei’s gaze met his, deep and thoughtful.

“What’s wrong? Don’t want to go?” Qin Xian asked.

[I feel so bad for him. He’s the one who doesn’t want to go.]

Qin Xian paused, feeling a warm flame ignite in his heart. He leaned down and gently kissed Ji Fei’s lips.

When Ji Fei’s eyes grew hazy, he coaxed her softly, “But I want to take you with me. I want everyone to know you’re my love. So, will you come with me?”

Ji Fei was so thoroughly charmed that she forgot her vow to stay rational and not turn into a lovesick fool. She nodded in agreement, her cheeks flushing.

Qin Xian’s eyes were filled with affection as he chuckled. “By the way, the high society and entertainment circles there are quite different from here. You’ll probably get to hear a lot of juicy gossip. Excited?”

Ji Fei immediately perked up. “You mean they don’t know I’m the gossip queen and the ultimate judge of the entertainment industry?”

Qin Xian laughed, clearly amused by how Ji Fei had already embraced this persona.

“Probably not,” he said, then feigned a troubled sigh. “But what I’m really worried about is the state of my aunts’ and uncles’ family affairs.”

Ji Fei pinched him in mock annoyance.

Qin Xian quickly corrected himself, “No, I mean, if there are any issues in their families, they’ll be counting on Fei Fei’s righteous judgment to save the day.”

Ji Fei giggled, but suddenly a thought flashed through her mind, too quick to catch.

When they returned to the Qin family home and everyone heard about Qin Xian’s decision, they were frozen in shock.

“Are you sure this is okay?” Qin’s Mom asked worriedly.

“Don’t force yourself. I’ll explain it for you,” Qin’s Father added hastily.

Qin Yan frowned, watching closely.

Qin Xian smiled faintly and assured them it was fine, but the family remained on edge. Even Qin Zhao and Qin Rong, who were abroad, kept checking in on the group chat, unable to relax.

After that, Qin Xian threw himself into work, preparing for the month-long absence. While much of it could be handled remotely, there was still a lot to do beforehand.

On the day before their departure, Qin’s Mom and Dad were still worried Qin Xian might suddenly fall ill.

It wasn’t until they boarded the private plane and it took off without incident that everyone gradually began to relax.

They chatted about how Qin Zhao and Qin Rong were flying directly from abroad to Y City. They had left earlier and would arrive first to pick everyone up.

Just then, Qin Xian yawned.

“You’ve been working too hard lately. You stayed up late last night. Why don’t you go inside and take a nap?” Qin’s Father suggested.

They were sitting in the sofa area, with a private room behind them that had a large bed.

Qin Xian was indeed exhausted. Once the plane stabilized, he got up and went to the back, soon falling into a deep sleep. Everyone in the main cabin tried to keep their voices low.

“Fei Fei, why don’t you go in and stay with him?” Qin’s Father suggested.

Qin’s Mom added anxiously, “Keep an eye on his temperature. I’m worried he might suddenly get a fever.”

Qin Yan chimed in, “Call us if anything happens.”

Ji Fei nodded and headed to the back. As she walked, she could hear Qin’s Mom and Dad whispering, silently praying that Qin Xian would be fine once they arrived in Y City. Then they began to blame themselves.

Ji Fei knew Qin’s Mom and Dad still carried guilt over Qin Xian’s past. But…

[It’s not certain if it’s even their fault… Wait! I’ve got it! This is the perfect opportunity for me to investigate. Since I’m not close to them, I have every reason to suspect if they treated my Qin Xian poorly in the past. If everything’s fine, then it’s all good. But if there’s a problem, hmph!]

Ji Fei finally realized what had flashed through her mind earlier. This was the perfect way to use her “gossip queen” skills.

The Qin family had been so adamant about taking responsibility that Ji Fei had almost stopped questioning them. But logically, she should remain skeptical of everyone. After all, without her gossip radar, who knows if the person standing in front of her is friend or foe?

As Ji Fei opened the door to the private room, she left the three Qin family members and little Qin Xi staring in stunned silence.

Qin Xian, fast asleep, heard nothing. He only felt a familiar presence approaching.

His sleep was restless, as if he were trapped in a silent, oppressive place, bound by invisible chains that he couldn’t escape.

To fight the fear, his emotions seemed to hollow out until he felt nothing… but it was so cold. He hated that bone-chilling coldness.

Suddenly, he felt a sharp pain in his collarbone.

Qin Xian woke up to find someone warm and cozy in his arms, her familiar scent bringing him an indescribable sense of security.

Looking down, he saw Ji Fei, still half-asleep, nibbling on his collarbone.

Somehow, she had developed a habit of biting him.

The icy expression on Qin Xian’s face, a remnant of his nightmare, melted away. His eyes overflowed with tenderness as he nuzzled Ji Fei’s forehead with his nose, finally getting her to release his collarbone.

Ji Fei had originally gone in to keep an eye on Qin Xian and make sure he was okay, but the long flight made her drowsy. Before she knew it, she had fallen asleep, even more deeply than Qin Xian.

In her sleep, she kept snuggling closer to Qin Xian, who tried to keep his composure. After all, they were on a plane with family just outside. He couldn’t afford to lose his cool.

Fortunately, the plane was about to land.

When the announcement came, Qin Xian gently woke Ji Fei.

Still groggy, Ji Fei reached up to touch Qin Xian’s face. “How are you feeling? Are you okay?”

The scenery of Y City came into view, and the three Qin family members outside the room grew tense again.

At the airport, Qin Zhao and Qin Rong met the relatives who had come to pick them up. The group was large and made quite a scene, with even some paparazzi sneaking photos.

The relatives kept asking Qin Zhao and Qin Rong to confirm, “Is Qin Xian really coming?”

Though worried, the two maintained their composure. “He said he’s bringing his wife to meet everyone. Of course, he’s coming.”

Meanwhile, in the private room, Qin Xian looked at Ji Fei’s sleepy face and couldn’t help but laugh. He cupped her face and kissed her, proving that he was perfectly fine and there was nothing to worry about.
