After Transmigrating as a Tycoon’s Wife, My Thoughts Are Heard by the Whole Family

Chapter 324

“Exactly, I’m not stupid either. I’ll compete with him, but even if he’s smarter than me, it’s fine. I can ask him for help with what I don’t know. As long as I learn, I’m not losing to him!” Yang Weiwei said proudly.

“That’s amazing!” Qin Yi immediately pinched her cheek with a smile.

Just as the atmosphere in the car was about to improve, Yang Feng, the brother-in-law, brought up work again: “Qin Yi, don’t you think we should ask Qin Xian for help? We just want to achieve something on our own. Always working under Qin Corporation, always under Qin Xian’s control… it’s not bad, but there’s no challenge. We want to do something of our own.”

Qin Yi noticed her niece’s visible disappointment and frowned slightly, her gaze falling on the back of Yang Feng’s head.

Qin Wenqiang was about to say something in displeasure when Qin Yi spoke up: “Brother-in-law, you know I don’t get involved in Qin Corporation’s affairs, and I don’t understand them. But I think if Qin Xian says something won’t work, it probably won’t. At least, under his leadership, no new project in Qin Corporation has ever failed. Is it so hard to accept someone’s criticism?”

Qin Yi’s words were gentle but effectively shut Yang Feng down.

She continued, “Doesn’t my sister have her own judgment?”

Qin Wenqiang was taken aback but quickly replied, “That’s true. Husband, I thought your project proposal was flawed from the start, but you didn’t believe me. You insisted on asking Qin Xian, and he also said it wouldn’t work. Why won’t you listen?”

Yang Feng’s expression darkened further.

Qin Yi glanced at him in the rearview mirror and found it amusing. Her brother-in-law really didn’t know his place. In terms of business acumen, he couldn’t even compare to her sister, let alone Qin Xian. Why was he so stubborn? Anyone in the industry who received a rejection from either of the Qin siblings would immediately reconsider their project. It wasn’t like they were stopping him from doing something else.

“Alright, alright, I won’t say anymore,” Yang Feng said, his temper flaring. Qin Wenqiang quickly ended the conversation to save her husband some face.

Meanwhile, the atmosphere at Third Uncle Qin’s house was also tense.

Third Uncle Qin had personally come to pick them up. Normally, he would have brought his wife along, given how much he valued Qin Xian, but she wasn’t feeling well and stayed home.

Third Uncle Qin brought his son, Qin Han, and daughter, Qin Jiaxi, to greet them.

Qin Han’s expression was sour. “I still think today’s reception is too much. If it weren’t for certain limitations, would you have mobilized the entire family? When Second Uncle’s family returned, we didn’t go to such lengths. Is it just because Qin Xian is here this time? Even if he’s managing Qin Corporation now, you and Fourth Uncle are elders. Was it really necessary to come personally? From what I can see, he doesn’t seem to care much.”

Third Uncle Qin was a stern father. Hearing this, he immediately rebuked, “What have I taught you? You have no sense of propriety. Qin Xian’s current temperament is partly our responsibility as elders. Back then, if Second Brother and Second Sister-in-law hadn’t needed to shift the family’s focus, they wouldn’t have left Qin Xian alone in the old mansion at such a young age. Without his parents, he developed psychological issues. Now that he’s finally overcome his fears and come back to see your grandfather, it’s only right that we show him respect.”

Qin Han rarely dared to argue with his father, but this time he couldn’t hold back. “I’m just curious. Why would you choose someone with psychological instability as the head of the family? Waiting a few more years wouldn’t have hurt. If Second Uncle wanted to step down, couldn’t you or Fourth Uncle have taken over?”

“Enough! He’s your cousin. What are you thinking?” Third Uncle Qin’s tone carried a warning.

Qin Han clenched his fists and muttered, “I’m just curious… that’s what people outside are saying.”

Third Uncle Qin sneered, “People in Y City don’t usually deal directly with Qin Xian, so they don’t know. Do you think your Second Uncle stepped down because he wanted to? He knew he couldn’t match Qin Xian’s abilities. Staying would have been pointless. You’ve only just started working at Qin Corporation and don’t have the clearance to interact with him yet. Once you’ve worked with your cousin a few times, you’ll understand.”

Seeing the pride on his father’s face, Qin Han’s fists tightened. It was because of Qin Xian that his usually reserved father was even talking to him like this.

But he couldn’t accept it. Was Qin Xian really that exceptional? He didn’t think his father was inferior to Second Uncle, so naturally, he didn’t think he was inferior to Qin Xian. Qin Xian just had a few years’ head start.

“You used to idolize him when you were little. Don’t you remember?” Third Uncle Qin asked, worried about his son’s arrogance.

Qin Han forced a laugh. “I don’t remember.”

Third Uncle Qin thought about it. It made sense. By the time Qin Han was old enough to remember, Qin Xian had already become withdrawn.

“Anyway, you’ll learn a lot from him. Follow his lead, and you’ll achieve more than our generation ever could. Your eldest aunt’s daughter has always done that, and Fourth Uncle’s two children, who joined the company a year before you, have grown rapidly under Qin Xian’s guidance. He may not show much emotion, but he’s always looked out for family.”

Qin Han felt like talking to his father about this would drive him mad. In other families, there was fierce competition, but in the Qin family, it seemed like everyone was content to be led by one or two smart individuals.

However, there was one area where Qin Xian didn’t seem so smart—he had been tricked into marrying a woman with no background, no education, and who had even become a comedian. In that regard, Qin Xian would always lose to him.

Qin Han didn’t want to discuss this further and changed the subject. “By the way, about you and Mom adopting a goddaughter, can we bring it up in front of the whole family this time? We were supposed to bring Xinxin with us, but you said it wasn’t appropriate.”

Qin Han complained, completely unaware that his sister, Qin Jiaxi, who had been silent in the corner, flinched at his words.

Third Uncle Qin frowned slightly. “I’m still considering it. I’ll talk to your grandfather first. If he disagrees, we’ll drop the matter.”

Qin Han immediately snapped, “But she saved Mom’s life!”

“Enough. I’ll handle it,” Third Uncle Qin said, not noticing his daughter’s discomfort. She had been unusually quiet for some time now.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

The liveliest atmosphere was in Fourth Uncle Qin’s car. Having been widowed in middle age, Fourth Uncle Qin had brought his two daughters, Qin Jing and Qin Xiaoyu, to pick them up.

Fourth Uncle Qin laughed. “Why are you two so quiet? Weren’t you excited about Qin Xian coming?”

Both girls were smiling, but their eyes were glued to their phones, their fingers typing furiously.

Qin Jing said, “I am excited. Can’t you see I can’t stop smiling? Second Brother is my idol. Every time I see him, I’m struck by his charisma. His personal aura is no joke.”

Qin Xiaoyu added, “I’m excited too. I’ve secretly taken a few photos of Second Brother and Second Sister-in-law. Even though Third Brother is ridiculously handsome, I have to admit Second Brother’s looks are on another level. Combined with his abilities, he’s practically the perfect man.”

“More perfect than your boyfriend?” Qin Jing teased her twin sister.

“Definitely more perfect than you,” Qin Xiaoyu shot back. “Second Sister-in-law is beautiful too. I feel like she’s my kind of person. If you like someone, you should find a way to get them.”

Both men in the car immediately frowned and said in unison, “You can’t do that! You could get arrested if you cross the line!”

Qin Xiaoyu waved her phone with a laugh. “Don’t worry, I’m not taking that route. My guy is willing.”

“Probably because you’re throwing money at him,” Qin Jing teased again.

“At least he’s not some online stranger I’ve never met! You’re truly one of a kind among the rich third generation!” Qin Xiaoyu fired back.

The siblings immediately started bickering, leaving Fourth Uncle Qin with a headache.

Soon, the luxury cars entered the sprawling, ancient estate, a place where every inch of land was worth a fortune.
