Chapter 605: The lore of asrana
Chapter 605: The lore of asrana
As he walks along the castle hallway, he notices that it is very dull. He suddenly misses the Roaring Dragon castle in Arrandy.
That castle was so full of life. There are colorful tapestries all over, balls, and even servant running around
When did the laughter and smiles stop? he thought to himself. And he knew exactly when. He sighed.
When he had lost hope, when he had become that cold Emperor, the laughter stops in that castle. Helia was not there anymore and even he was not there anymore.
After he moved to the new capital, the one occupying that castle is his sister.
Maybe. if he goes to that castle now, he could still hear the laughs. His sister is after all. still were not truly tainted by the world.
Noit is not that dirt and dirty thing from the world did not touch her.
For such a sweet and smart young woman who plays the game of politics as adept as Silas, she had her own share of seeing the darkness of the world
But, she was able to overcome it.
Was it because she did not love as he did? Or is it because there was always someone to pick her back up? Arial did not have that.
He loves to much. And as such the pain is even greater. He shakes his head. Today, is bound to be a boring day, he thought to himself.
He went back to his office. Outside the office there is a wooden box. Arial lifted it and open the top of the wooden box.
Inside it is memorials.
'Work. I guess that is the only thing I would be doing today' he thought to himself and he enters his office.
The minister and the military both send him proposal and suggestion and since they know that he would be taking his break in the afternoon they left it in the suggestion box.
This is the fruit of the idea of Silas when he was in Eden.
To set up suggestion boxes so that the Emperor could rest and at the same time could still be able to answer certain question or solve some of the problems that could not be solved during the court meeting
Silas also wanted to expand it to the other places in the Empire so that the governors of the Empire could listen to the voice of the people under their rule
Silas is always a bank of ideas.
He sat on his chair, open the letters and began reading it. After around half an hour, he finally finished reading all of the memorials.
Some of them could be solved with some simple orders and others needed more consideration, constrained by the current governmental limited power.
Then he brought out back another parchment from one of the shelf
He had to continue writing about his plans before the next meeting. Some of the memorial is simply an explanation of the political matters in the Three Kingdoms
'Five years? Six years?' he thought to himself.
This would take time. Before he saw the map he did not think the New World was so large.
Only after seeing the map, that he realizes that it is really big.
At first he had thought that the population of the New World is lesser than the population of the Human Continent.
The reason why he was thinking like this is because they were times when he would ride the Green Plains and did not see a village for a few hundred miles.
In the Human Continent however, every village and city was developed to a certain point. Unless you are living in deep wilderness of course.
Large city like Arrandy for example is very populated.
Some city which has inner wall and outer wall even had villages inside the outer wall and even outside the outer wall there is settlements.
One could easily estimate. But now that he had seen the map he knows the reason why the village is sparse is simply because there is too much land.
They did not have to fight for land and there is also the fact that there are no large cities like in other continent.
They did not like to gather as mostly they prefer to move around. Other than the ancestral lands, there is no borders between the Ten tribes.
Even though certain tribes do occupy certain places more than the other, it did not mean they would not accept other tribespeople.
The only exception to this norm is when it relates to their ancestral lands which is only occupies by the respective tribe.
And then Arial immediately understood the enormity of the task he is about to try to accomplish
Conquering the Three Kingdom could not be done in a fast manner.
The area of the Three Kingdoms rivals the land that the ten tribes is living before.
Imagine that size.
Even before, outside of the Shadowlands, the land is large and numerous.
You could build a few hundred palaces in the Green Plains and still have enough space to create cities in the middle of each palaces and still have room to spare.
That is how large the land outside the Shadowland is and then to compare it with the Shadowlands itself which is even larger than all of the land outside it, Arial knew that this expedition is not something he could accomplished in a few years.
Unless of course, there is divine intervention. But Amara had told him that the destiny of Asrana must be taken by him, the right way.
Divine beings could do a lot of things.
This is true.
But there are some things that they could not and must not interfere and that is the great tribulation of the Ages prophecy.
This one in particular is something that is protected by the Creator Himself, so no Divine beings in this world could even interfere
Amara had repeatedly reminded him of this
He had to do it the hard way. Arial sighed.
'When is he coming?' Arial suddenly complains. It has been near evening and the mapmaker is still not here.
'Still, I should show him respect. After all, he had taught me in the past before. I am too impatient'
The map in the throne room had been sent to his office now.
The map shows the kingdoms but there were many things it did not show. For example, the villages, the terrain, the geography
there are some people who had roam the Three Kingdoms before in his army but there is no constant distance that they could quantified to give an exact measure of the terrains.
Some told them there is a huge mountain range called the Wide Mountain in the area of the North.
It stretched from the west to the east, cutting off Vernium kingdom access to the sea.
There is mountain people there that have their own culture and kingdoms.
But no one could give him the layout of that place and none of them could tell him about the information of these places in details.
The mountain size, the mountain width, the forest around it, the distance from each other and so on and so forth
Such facts could not be given.
Hearsay and more hearsay.
Most people inside the Three Kingdoms rarely travels far away from their city of origin.
Unlike the Ten Tribes and the lands outside of the Shadowlands, the Shadowlands was a place rife with dangers and monsters.
It is then understandable why they rarely went out from their city. Those that could roam the world was warriors and Dark Hunters who hunt the monsters
There are even a few bands of mercenaries group from the Mercenary Guild that were able to roam the Three Kingdom easily.
All in all, he needed the mapmaker to get more detailed information about the Three Kingdoms
He simply expresses his displeasure because he has a lot going in his mind right now.
Arial then return to the parchment, once again thinking about what he should do.
Once he looks at the parchment, ideas immediately enter his mind. He has enough rest for his mind and now that he is refreshed, all of these ideas come easily to him.
First of all, he needs to make sure all the territory of Balhae fall under him
Only then could he make sure that he truly has a strong base where he could mount his invasion to all the lands of the Three Kingdoms
Of course, he had hoped that if there is some people who knew who he was and submit to him, there is less blood that needs to be spilled.
Arial did read a bit about Asrana and His status among the people of the Thirteen Tribe.
Asrana is not only considered the Chief God of all the other Gods in the Pantheon of the Thirteen Tribe but also a savior figure.
His coming was prophesied and it is said that if the Three Great Tribes were to accept the judgment of the Savior upon them, then they would be blessed
But pride and hubris would fill their hearts with the vices of men and they would choose to close their eyes to the sign and be deaf to the words of wise men.
Arial was an idealist. But as he forged his kingdom from fire and blood he had been quite realistic man.
