Chapter 469
I started the day by doing some math. I had 26 days to meet with my architect to check his project for my house in Dwarka. Then I actually wanted to travel to Poland, and get all my paperwork done, since my documents needed to be renewed at this point. All I had was some temporary stuff from the Indian government.
Then I also wanted to get a nice house there for my mother and make sure she will be living a nice and comfortable life from now on with all her needs taken care of.
Then it would be good to focus for a bit on Tihana. I didn't want to spoil her too much, because that girl had some rebellious tendencies, but I wanted not only our relationship to grow but also for her to be able to live here properly.
Then I took a shower, ate breakfast, and left Hatta and Will a message that I'll be going hunting for the next twenty-six days. Since they both were busy, I only got short replies that they got the message.
With all that out of the way, I finally shadow walked to the city of gates, Loistavadvaar.
I decided to go to the pyramid place since I already knew it well. Although the first day was totally unlucky since I didn't find any ghosts, It was to be expected, since most of them were outside the city walls, so I just spent all of it trying to get out and look for my targets in the wilderness.
I wasn't expecting this at all, but on the second day, my path got blocked by one of the ghosts. I immediately went all out, not wanting to take any risks.
I charged at him with pudao in my hand at fighter jer speed, but he wasn't a pushover himself. He blocked my attack with a giant ax and the impact of our weapons created a shockwave, that blasted us both in opposite directions. I smashed into the wall of the nearest apartment complex. One of those big square ones, and just ripped through it making holes in several walls on my way.
I lost the kinetic energy by shadow walking back to the street. I landed under one of those strange drones. The ghost also somehow was already outside.
I quickly learned how, since he charged at me, using 'Shadow walk'. We did a little bit of dancing avoiding each other's attacks that cut through the streets, and the nearby walls with the sheer air pressure. We were going so hard at it, that we actually started digging a hole under our feet with just the cits.
It was like two blenders trying to shred each other, but missing each attack.
That ghost was clearly focusing on physical powers throughout his life and could match mines, but he wasn't using any psychic stuff, like almost any other, nor magic, and that was my advantage.
I just started summoning the Shadow fiends in numbers to distract him. They were practically useless against him since all he needed was a single hit to destroy them, and he was swinging around like a mad man trying to kill me, so most of them just died in the crossfire covering us in a cloud of smoke, but some managed to got close enough to try and attempt to get him.
They didn't succeed but fulfilled their mission anyway, created an opening for me to thrust with all my might, and pierce a hole through his body, that's how strong it was. It even damaged the building behind him but didn't kill him at all.
I repositioned immediately. Maybe the attack wasn't enough to take the ghost down, but it definitely got him good. The rest of the fight was just a formality. He lost a lot of his speed and strength, so I quickly finished him off.
Then I realized how much devastation our fight actually brought. I was standing in a crated few meters deep. It was almost perfectly circular. The walls of nearby structures got also destroyed, making the buildings partially collapse. They were giant, so the damage was actually overall minimal, but still.
Such a view made me realize how strong I got. I didn't even need magic anymore to cause such destruction. I became a one-man army, both figuratively, and literally, since I could summon millions of shadows.
I picked the nice, bright red crystal, and shadow walked to Loistavadvaar to use it. It was worth 836 111 076 000 regular points and 4 512 class ones, which was officially placing that ghost as the strongest one I managed to take down so far.
I immediately used most of what I earned to push 'Void domain III' to the tenth level. I saved the class points. Mainly because I didn't have many regular ones, so I wouldn't be able to upgrade any skills too far anyway.
Since I didn't want to take any risks, I decided to stop the hunt for the day, and went to sleep, just to return the next morning. I quickly found out that the ruckus I made lured another prey for me to kill. We clashed in a span of few seconds of me popping back there.
This ghost wasn't very strong though, and I just smashed him with an overwhelming series of attacks. Further destroying that part of the unnamed city. I took his crystal, way paler than the one I got before and went back to sell it. Earning 205 499 982 000 regular points and 710 class ones.
I decided to save it, and try to push the 'Arcshadow' to its max to get to the next tier class.
I almost went hunting again, but then I thought that maybe if the noise from the previous day lured another ghost, this could repeat itself, bringing me fresh prey without all that running around.. I decided to give it a shot and spent the rest of my time looking around the city for books, and also writing another part of my story.
