Biohuman

Chapter 864 Serpent's Calling

Lee Seng's eyes shook as the energy built in the room. He looked around and noticed his friends weren't there anymore. Everything was replaced with a starry landscape. He watched endless space and stars start to move. A large figure moved forward, disrupting the space. Lee Seng could feel the energy radiating off of this thing. It was powerful.

"So you've finally called upon me…" The ethereal voice spoke. It looked like the being smiled at him. It didn't separate itself from the space. It was clear that the stars and black space was it. "And to think I would travel such a measly distance for you, Fox Spirit."

Lee Seng couldn't believe what he was seeing. The massive being in front of him looked like a serpent of sorts. Stars and space refracted as the serpent's tail swept around, coiling its tail in the process.

"Celestial Dragon has certainly given you a wonderful gift." The space serpent said. "It's too bad he wasted it on you. Your thread of Fate is becoming thin. You're about to embark on a journey that involves death, aren't you?" Lee Seng gulped and nodded. "Defied your Fate not once, not twice, but three times so far. You were given a chance from the God King and yet you sit here in front of me using a runic spell from those Biohumans. How is that so?"

"I…" Lee Seng gulped as the serpent fixed his sparkling eyes on him. "I'm on Earth right now. I have… to know what my father is doing and bring a stop to it before something goes wrong."

"Oh, little Fox!" The serpent chuckled. The space around him reacted to the serpent's laugh. It clearly was a strong being. "You cannot stop what is to come. The events that are happening are supposed to happen. You cannot stop the destruction of everything you know! Earth has grown too greedy and your god stays silent, letting you puny Biohumans do whatever. If I were your god, I would crush all of you and rebuild everything anew - one without error or flaw. I understand your god, though, little Fox. They don't want to interfere, again, because of last time."

"Last time?"

"I will indulge you, little Fox." The serpent hissed. Reality ripped around them and an older Earth appeared around them. It was barren of technology and it looked like they were way in the past. "Way back then, your god was very much involved. The wrath of god would smite those who defied them and their people. They worked in the lives of many people, physically and spiritually, but the fateful day came when human error would fail. A person born of so much power came into this world and used their justified wrath to smite down their enemies causing the world to explode."

The world exploded and Lee Seng's entire world went white. He covered his eyes and turned away.

"And then your god knew what they had done wrong, so they rebuilt it all. They love you so much like any god would, so they decided to take it upon themself to protect the humans… And look where it has come!" The serpent looked away in dissatisfied. The celestial space came back and the snake looked down upon Lee Seng, again. "I will not spare you my personal feelings about all of that. Each god will do what they want with their world. I merely move between all of the Realms and observe."

"Why are you telling me all of this? W-why did you come to me with that rune?" Lee Seng asked. The serpent smiled and moved its head closer to Lee Seng. He could feel the pure cosmic energy radiating from this very, very, very old being.

"Beings such as myself have been watching you, Lee Seng Chang of the Earth Realm. A champion has finally rose from Earth after thousands of years. But, what makes it so much more interesting is God King Dathro has involved himself in the affairs of a Biohuman… Wouldn't the rest of the Realm gods and interstellar beings be interested in that?" The serpent cocked its head. "You were given the power of the Fox Spirit with a condition: to kill the Creator. Yet, you think if things are going the way you hope it does, you won't have to kill him. If you don't kill your father, you and that Spirit of yours will crumble into nothingness."

'It even knows about that.' Lee Seng thought. The serpent smiled and pulled away.

"Power of the Fox Spirit, golden Orb of the Saviors, and even the favor of the twin Sun gods… Aren't you loved most… elsewhere? Your humanity is falling and yet you—"

"What do you want with me?" Lee Seng interrupted the being. The serpent hissed and wrapped around Lee Seng.

"Oh, someone's impatient." The serpent chuckled. "I should kill you for interrupting me, little Fox. You do not know what I am. You do not fear me. I sense it. I will cut to the point. You used Trina's Last Wish and summoned me because you thought it wouldn't work. Listen well, little one. You are much more powerful than you think. You've just woken after being in a coma for two years and in those two years, your body has changed. Your Spirit fed you for those two years, yet you don't feel it do you?"

"Feel what?"

"Hmph." The serpent tightened and lifted Lee Seng into the sky. He yelped as the serpent held him with its tail end. They moved through space quickly, eventually appearing on the outskirts of the Milky Way Galaxy. The serpent released Lee Seng and let him float in the middle of space. The serpent began to speak in an old language. It sounded guttural and deep. It spoke as stars and rocks gathered, creating a magical circle around Lee Seng.

'What's happening?' Lee Seng wondered.

"Awaken your true potential and show me what path you choose. Will you do as your heart tells you, keeping much of your humanity or will relieve your humanity with a clean kill?" The serpent chuckled. The magical circle lit up, blinding Lee Seng. Every fiber in his body began to burn. The pain felt eternal. He could feel something opening within him.

"Ahh!" Lee Seng screamed as the lights disappeared.

"Lee?" Olivia rushed over to him. Evan, Keng and Liz stood up and rushed over to Lee Seng's side. "What's wrong?" She reached for Lee Seng who felt something strange. He turned to look at her with a foreign look. He reached for her and grabbed her.  He used Olivia as an anchor, bringing him back to his senses.

"H-hey what's wrong?" Keng asked. Lee Seng's head hurt from all the information he was taking in. He strangely felt at ease near Olivia.

"Are you okay?" Liz asked.

"What's wrong now?" Manny asked, coming over.

"H-he used Trina's Last Wish and then was like this all of a sudden." Evan explained.

"Lee, are you okay?" Olivia asked. Manny moved over and reached for his best friend. Lee Seng watched Manny's hand reach for him and then stop.

"What's wrong?" Manny asked. He could see the fear in Lee Seng's eyes like he had a horrible nightmare. Manny dropped his hand back to his side and squatted. "You're fine now. What did you see?" Lee Seng clutched Olivia like a child scared. He gulped and realized what he was doing and let go. He turned to fully face Manny and kept himself knelt.

"I think that's enough rune equations for one day." Lee Seng chuckled. He tried to play it off cool. "I'm going to, uh, take a shower. I'll be back for lunch."

"Are you sure?" Evan asked. "You looked really spooked there for a moment." Lee Seng stood up and turned and smiled. Keng and Manny both knew this smile was just masking something.

"I'm fine. Just… a lot to take in. I'll be back." Lee Seng excused himself into his room and closed the door. He pressed himself against the door and let out a sigh of relief. He could feel everyone's energy. Olivia felt the most calm among them with Keng's feeling the most foreign to him.

'Why is Keng the most foreign out of all of them…?' Lee Seng wondered. 'Is it because he isn't human?' He let out a sigh and forced himself to wander over to the closet and grab some clothes. He headed to the shower and turned it on. He began his little routine of placing the clothes on the counter and moving his towel onto the rack.

'These aren't new sensations.' Lee Seng thought as he entered the shower. The warm water rained down on him as he plunged his head into the stream and began to clean his body. 'I think… I've felt them before. Whatever that Serpent did, certainly made me more… sensitive to everything…'

"You are much more powerful than you think. You've just woken after being in a coma for two years and in those two years, your body has changed. Your Spirit fed you for those two years, yet you don't feel it do you?" The Serpent's words echoed in his head.

'What does the Serpent mean by that?'
