Chapter 144 Intruder
Boom!
Massive amount of energy surged into him like an endless river. Rocking and slamming his body as though he was a ship about to capsize from the sheer amount of waves caused by the surging river.
Using his body as the conduit, the system rapidly absorbed the energy like a starving ancient beast escaping the desert after a hundred thousand years.
But sadly Erian's body wasn't that strong enough to hold in that much power. His body was just like a narrow pipe, transporting nuclear energy which was gushing out so fast. His 15 meters tall body rapidly ballooned up as numerous crimson veins the size of an adult's fist swelled up, making his hybrid form look demonic.
Toxic radiation from the energy ore also started to affect him. The hardened muscles above his skin started to decay rapidly, traveling upwards towards his shoulder.
In the blink of an eye, the flesh in his both arm had shriveled up, leaving just bones.
"Cr-crack!"
With just a little more force, his arm exploded into multiple fragments that shattered immediately after they came into contact with the ground
Erian grunted in pain. The force made his monstrous body stagger backwards. Nuclear energy coursed through him, stimulating his genes and replicating his cells with explosive speed. With speed that could be seen with the naked eyes, Erian's arms regenerated as though time was being reversed and in just a single second, he had grown back a complete set of arm.
'Four more times.' Erian muttered to himself. Gathering his energy and courage, with a roar he grabbed at the energy ore once more, rapidly absorbing the energy within.
He was in desperate need of nuclear energy as he needed that to upgrade his talent, skills, and even genes! Moreover, the amount he needed was astronomical! While these nuclear energies wouldn't be enough to achieve his aim, they should be enough to cause a ripple, boosting his ability by a lot.
In the meantime, his titan form started to decay slowly. The decay process in his arms was more rapid as it was his arms in contact with the nuclear ore.
After a few moments, his arm shattered again and regenerated. Erian repeated this process four times before he was finally exhausted leaving a bit of nuclear energy within the ore.
Unable to keep his hybrid form intact, his body deflated like a popped balloon. He fell to the ground, his shriveled body falling into the large footprint he had formed while in his titan form.
With the injury caused by using a mythic skill along with one caused by the toxic radiation corrupting his genes, his DNA is seen to have reached its limits. Inside his body, using a microscopic view, one could see structures of DNA strands decomposing and breaking apart. If it weren't for the sustainability of nuclear energy, Erian might have turned into a puddle of blood by now.
Using his physical health technique, nuclear energy gushed into his cells, bones tissue, and flesh, repairing them and even making them stronger than they were before. But this process was incredibly slow, taking Erian about half a day before he was strong enough to perform his nuclear technique.
An invincible whirlpool formed around him, absorbing energy into him from all corners. In the meantime, he divided his attention and checked his status.

Even under such heavy injuries, Erian couldn't help but smile in joy. Allowing the skin around his lips to crack, revealing his inner jaws and teeth.
[Name: Gryananium Stone ]
[Quality: High ]
[Type: Energy Ore]
[Info: A stone containing massive concentrations of nuclear energy within that are high enough to be economically extracted for use.]
[Nuclear Energy: 43,030,786]
At this moment, his body only managed to absorb a hundred million energy points. He left the rest for later, when he had fully recovered enough, he most definitely would absorb the remaining millions of points.
Time trickled past and in just a few blinks, a day and a half had passed. During this period, Erian had recovered a bit of his strength.
He clenched his fists which created a slight ripple in the atmosphere. The strength of his cells had increased after the damage they had received increasing the durability of his bones, tissues, and veins.
"Thud!"
A muffled sound echoed from a distance not too far away from Erian as something dropped down from above.
"So this is where the old Secret Research Facility is? Who would have thought it would be located underground and not at the center of the city."
Footsteps rang out and then the excited sound of a female followed through. The young lady had an elegant feature with a reserved look on her face, but the excitement of having found this place tore through her composure.
Suddenly, her footsteps halted.
The young lady had spotted an intruder. Someone had actually gotten here before she did!
Her brows enclosed from a subtle frown, gazing at the expressionless young man a few meters from her.
"Who are you? And what are you doing here?" Her voice left no space for deception as she demanded an answer.
Erian remained silent but his eyes were locked on the badge on her chest. It revealed just one flaming fist which shouldn't be much of a problem as he had even faced the wrath of two third-year students but when then, Erian didn't dare to underestimate this young lady because of the grade of her badge.
Her badge was pure gold with not a single blemish within. What does this mean? It meant that her talent was way above his and there was a possibility she has already transplanted her first gene!!!
