Chapter 401 Chapter 9 - Runaway sister

401  Chapter 9 - Runaway sister

Ten minutes ago,

Hearing a car zooming close the skeletal zombie took off in a run. its bony limbs creaked loudly but it did not slow it down.

A small Maserati drove close to it and the windows rolled down to reveal a young teen girl

"Woohoo. Who knew you had it in you? those bony legs are working like magic~"

The zombie roared out loud shooting out spider-like webs.

"That was unexpected. you throw up stiff huh?" The car quickly veered away from the attack.

Places where the web touched turned to ashes leaving behind smoke.

The young girl gazed back at this through the rearview mirror. "this one can really do some damage. Too bad it's only a level seven one." Mumbling she caught up with the zombie.

"You can't keep running forever…"

With one hand on the handle, she pulled out a huge fishing net from the passenger seat. "if you melt this my uncle will kill you. I swear. Don't melt this okay,"

She skillfully tossed it out.

To her surprise, the zombie tripped on a random rock escaping her casted net. It quickly got up and ran away in another direction

Zara let out a cuss. "It took me hours, and the net is all tangled up now... ugh, so annoying," grumbling, she got out of the car.

A bee suddenly appeared in front of her face buzzing right and left.

"oh fuck…"

The bee landed on her ear and buzzed loudly.

"okay, okay! I won't cuss… why are you here? I'm kind of busy." She swatted the bee away and squatted down to detangle the messy net.

The bee buzzed in morse code.

"Stay put? What do you mean stay put?" her golden-brown eyes looked around. "Are you here?"

The bee flew away towards the right to reveal a distant car.

Zara sighed. "Darn, how is he so good at following me around? Bet he's going to tell mum…" She tossed the net into her car.

"Zou Zara! You better stay right there!" a young man poked his head out of the window as he drove towards her.

Rolling her eyes Zara stood there. "Fine, I surrender."

"You better," the car came to a halt. "Get into the car young lady,"

Zara glared at him subtly. "Brother, I brought my own car. I can drive on my own,"

The young man glared coldly her way. "I said get in the car."

"ughhh you're so annoying!" she jumped into the car. "What about my baby! You can't just abandon her out there. Go pick it up!" she punched his shoulders releasing all her frustration.

Zou Chen silently got out and stuffed the car into his space. "How did you find this car even…."

"I have my ways," Zara grinned mysteriously.

Zou Chen gave her a disappointed look. "Daddy Yue is pissed. Don't expect me to vouch for you this time. You're completely screwed."

"no!! you cant. please you have to help me. I was only trying to hunt! We need more crystals don't we… I just wanted to help…"

"I know you do. But you're too young," Chen gazed at his younger sister with a small frown.

Eighteen years had passed and his younger sister had grown up into a rebellious teen. That cute little chubby baby had turned into a menace. It was hard to keep up with her mind which was racing everywhere.

One day she would be making construction design and the next she would run off to hunt zombies...

Chen stepped on the breaks instantly.

"What is it?"

Their parents had been very worried about her. but since Father Fan always adored her so he always gave into her cute antics.

Only his dad and he had to take over to discipline this girl.

Chen sighed massaging his brows. once again, he spent all night guarding the gates. he barely got into his bed when he found out his sister had snuck out again.

A protein bar was shoved in his face.

"Here, have it. you get grumpy when you're hungry," smiling Zara nudged the protein bar on his cheeks. "Come on, you can't stay angry with me. I was being very safe. I followed everything you taught me. Heck I even caught one."

"Did you know," he took the protein bar, tore the cover off, and shoved it in his mouth. "I don see any."

"It got away," pouting she leaned back against the seat. "It went towards east… we might still be able to catch up to it." she expectantly gazed his way.

"No way." he swallowed the protein bar dryly. "I'm not taking you along,"

"Come on, it will be fun bonding time." she cutely blinked her lashes at him.

"No," Chen dully glanced away.

"Tsk, annoying,"

Zou Chen gazed at his sister with a worried look. He had personally trained her and taught her everything his parents had taught him yet still he did not have much confidence in her. She was still too young and hot-headed which led her to be impulsive. Being impulsive on the battlefield was the worst trait ever.

'maybe I need to train her more…'

He turned around and drove toward the east.

Zara perked up instantly. "I knew it! I love you so much Chenchen~" she pinched his cheeks.

"Stop touching me," he slapped her hand away. "Only this once. don't... don't tell dad."

"Yes, Daddy's boy. I won't tell a soul," Giggling, she excitedly started to untangle her net. "That thing can spit out corrosive webs. This metal can handle it I think. After all it's made my uncle Hary."

Chen zoned out of her rambles as he carefully noted the footprints and traces left behind by the zombie.

Suddenly he heard a soft voice.

{'Run! run you idiot! Why are you just standing? It's coming!This way! hide!'}

A familiar voice shouted loudly.

Chen stepped on the breaks instantly.

"What is it?"

"Shh..." he closed his eyes and listened keenly.

{'it's coming!!! Run!!!'}

It was coming from the east.

"Did you hear something?" Zara inquisitively peered at him.

Chen smirked. "I heard a very familiar voice… let's go catch her."
