Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1439 Comprehending the Dao of the Spear

Chapter 1439  Comprehending the Dao of the Spear

Nôv(el)B\\jnn

Having successfully managed to leave the grass plains without encountering any problems along the way, Chu Yang could not help feeling that he had been rather lucky not running into any of the Domain Lord Realm cultivators who had managed to flee from the scene earlier.

The only people he ended up encountering along the way were a few weaker Domain Lord Realm cultivators who had been attracted by the attack, believing that it might have been a powerful treasure coming into existence.

Encountering these kinds of people, Chu Yang didn't fear them in the slightest. Not to mention, his current cultivation at the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm was strong enough to stop any of those Domain Lord Relam cultivators from attacking him.

In the end, he had just explained the situation at the scene of the attack and told them that there weren't any treasures there, but instead just the remnants of what he guessed to be some kind of terrifying confrontation between powerful demon beasts.

Considering that his strength was far above theirs in most situations, the few he encountered didn't think he was lying and decided to slow down their pace and join up with others to check out the situation after learning that there weren't any heavenly treasures to compete for, but instead just a scar left behind by a powerful demon beast.

Of course, there were those who didn't believe what he said, but they were in the minority, as it would be simple for them to find out the truth of the situation by going to the origin point of the terrifying presence they had sensed earlier.

One thing that did help out with the explanation he gave was the fact that no major battle had erupted at the scene. Indicating that the heavenly treasure that might have come into existence had already been seized or was still in the process of fully coming into existence.

At the end of the day, Chu Yang didn't care much about the reactions of the different Domain Lord Realm cultivators or what they ended up doing when they learned about what had actually taken place there. Instead, he just wanted to safely get out of the grass plains and find somewhere he could seclude himself and consume the source crystal he had obtained to enhance his comprehension of the Dao of the Spear and hopefully also breakthrough the bottleneck to the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm in the process.

Luckily, everything ended up working out like intended and Chu Yang soon found himself inside a small underground cave that he had sealed off to the outside world with the source crystal he had managed to seize in his hand.

"I hope this thing is as useful as master said…" Muttering this to himself as his attention was fully focused on the source crystal in his hand, Chu Yang didn't hesitate any longer and directly popped the small source crystal into his mouth before swallowing it like he would do a normal pill.

Boom-!

Not a second later, a magical transformation seemed to take place, as Chu Yang directly broke through the bottleneck and entered the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm.

However, this was not his focus. Instead, it was to further his understanding of the Dao of the Spear, something he wholeheartedly focused all his attention on doing the moment he felt the magical transformation taking place inside of him, seemingly making grasping the dao much simpler compared to before.

His breakthrough so to speak could be considered a side effect, as his mind focused fully on deepening his comprehension of the Dao of the Spear in the time that this magical effect caused by the source crystal would last.

Slowly, Chu Yang felt his understanding of the spear deepening with, as the time flew by.

From being only able to discern the existence of the Dao of the Spear, to being just on the brink of reaching a new realm, Chu Yang managed to increase his comprehension of the Dao of the Spear to the point where he was just a single step away from reaching the Elementary Realm.

Unfortunately, when he reached this step, he also felt the magical effect of the source crystal coming to an end. Stopping just before he managed to take the final step and enter the Elementary Realm in the Dao of the Spear.

However, even when he felt the effect of the source crystal coming to an end, Chu Yang didn't stop what he was doing and continued to comprehend the Dao of the Spear. Intending to breakthrough to the Elementary Realm before ending his seclusion, as he understood that he would inevitably end up losing the thread still left pointing the way for him following the end of the source crystal's effect if he stopped his comprehension.

Meaning, he would have to try and find the breakthrough point again if he stopped his comprehension of the Dao of the Spear.

So, with that in mind, Chu Yang focused all of his attention on continuing to comprehend the Dao of the Spear even after the effect of the source crystal came to an end.

Not caring about his surroundings nor the potential treasures and opportunities he might be losing out on as he did this. Understanding that everything would be worth it if he could breakthrough and reach the Elementary Realm in the Dao of the Spear.

In the end, days slowly turned into weeks as he continued comprehending the Dao of the Spear. Soon enough, three months had flown by before a terrifying aura permeated the air around him. Following which Chu Yang slowly opened his eyes for the first time since swallowing the source crystal, a happy smile gracing his lips as he gazed around the pitch-black interior of the cave.

"Finally! I finally managed to break through to the Elementary Realm!" Laughing joyfully as he said this, Chu Yang was overcome with joy, as he clearly felt the increase in strength following the breakthrough to the Elementary Realm in the Dao of the Spear.

Not just had he managed to break through to the Elementary Realm in the Dao of the Spear after three months of cultivation, but he also clearly felt that there were no longer any obstacles blocking him from breaking through to the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm in the future.

Not just the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, he even felt that breaking through to the Soul Ascension Realm or beyond wouldn't pose much of a problem to him now that he had managed to reach the Elementary Realm in the Dao of the Spear.

Of course, he didn't intend to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm before first returning to the sect, as he clearly remembered that his master had told him to confide with him before deciding to breakthrough to the soul Ascension Realm.

Although he had no idea why his master had asked him to do this, he still trusted in his master and intended to return to the sect and ask him before trying to breakthrough to the Soul Ascension Realm.

"Looks like it will be time for me to return to the sect again after I get out of this secret realm…" Muttering this to himself, as he went over his own progress, Chu Yang decided on ending his adventure in the core region of the continent and make his way back to the Star Shattering Sect after getting out of the secret realm.

Of course, he fully intended on reaching the Ninth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm before returning to the sect now that he clearly felt that there wouldn't be any more bottlenecks in the Domain Lord Realm.

After all, the journey back to the Star Shattering Sect would be far from a simple trip back, as even with his current strength at the Eighth Stage of the Domain Lord Realm, it would at least take him half a year. Possibly even longer to make it back to the sect again.

Considering that he still had around three months left inside of the secret realm, he expected it to take around a year to get back to the Star Shattering Sect again.

In the end, his time outside of the sect would be around three years in total. By far, it was the longest time he had ever spent outside of the sect ever since he joined it.

Although he normally wasn't the sentimental type, he did feel himself missing his fellow disciples. Especially so his master, whom he had only ever seen in the form of the talismans he had made use of to save himself from dangerous situations.

Thinking about it, he was quite amazed at the strength of his master's talismans, as he had never really seen him as a skilled talisman master before his trip outside of the sect this time around. Especially so because cultivators capable of creating artifacts were incredibly rare even in the core region of the continent. Making him wonder where his master had learnt the art of talisman creation from.
