Side POV – Saintess & Princess
Side POV – Saintess & Princess
[Saintess and her Sect]
The Saintess was exhausted after the constant fighting.
"Fuuuu..." She breathed out heavily, staring at the plains littered with corpses of human and beast alike.
"Right... I should get a few corpses for my master, otherwise she might get grumpy." She sighed.
[Activate Detection?]
[Y/N]
'We have done it so many times and you still ask...' The Saintess shook her head. She knew that this strange system, that she got after she reincarnated, wouldn't answer her.
At first, she hoped she would get some kind of cheat, but she was soon disappointed. There were no missions, no stat points or coins, that she could spend. All she got was a useless system, that just told her things.
[Corpse of Horned Pig: Low 1st Grade]
[Corpse of Frost Snake: High 1st Grade]
[Corpse...
The Saintess clicked her tongue. 'I have yet to meet a 3rd Grade Beast.' She sighed, but still collected every Beast of the 2nd Grade and filled the rest of her storage ring with the rarer 1st Grade beasts.
The Saintess glanced into the forest. It was too quiet, yet she hoped that the little fluffy beast would be alright.
She sighed. This system was truly useless, but at least she wouldn't get scammed when she went into the city. Although she got plenty of interesting trinkets and artefacts every time she did go.
Li Xiu sighed again. Apparently, she was supposed to have broken into Golden Core already, but the system said that she didn't even reach the absolute peak, whatever that meant, so she didn't try to breakthrough. Why breakthrough when you still have space to grow?
She gathered the remaining beast corpses, and leapt on her flying artefact, which was the sword she used when she met the tiny Beast.
'That one was a cutie~' She hummed, she was in a good mood since she took out the Saintess from the Mirage Flower Sect.
She clicked her tongue. 'Just because I want to reach absolute peak doesn't mean I have stopped Cultivating. Both Master and the others are completely useless.'
She disliked being forced into things.
'Right, but you still signed the contract with me.' The Glacial Phoenix snorted.
Li Xiu scrunched her pretty face, she didn't like this one either.
'But you can't get rid of me.' The Glacial Phoenix laughed with glee. 'Not to mention, without me, you would be already dead!'
'Bullshit! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have been crowned as a Saintess!' Li Xiu snorted. 'Not only did I stumble into this barbaric world, I even have barbaric chicken with me!'
'What did you-!'
This was a common occurrence between them, while they did constantly bicker, it was not to the point where they would fall out.
'Anyway, you need to contract that tiny Beast!' The Glacial Phoenix gaggled.
'No way!' Li Xiu didn't agree.
'I can temporarily suppress her blessing since I'm the superior Bloodline!'
'No, means no!' Li Xiu didn't want to force the Beast into contracts, she was an animal lover and hated the current contract where the Human was untouched even when the Beast died.
'You...' The Glacial Phoenix was speechless. 'Let me eat it then, I stand to gain a lot from her.'
Li Xiu ignored this bastard chicken and flew towards her Sect, it would take some time, but since most Cultivators were still rushing towards the cursed forest she was still safe.
'You should go and train into the Mystic Meadow Forest.' The Glacial Phoenix said gently for the first time.
'I don't like my Cultivation being suppressed.' She didn't want to return.
The Glacial Phoenix rolled its eyes. 'You have my Bloodline! Do you know what that means?!' It scoffed at this cowardly human. 'That means that the restriction is ineffective!'
Saintess scrunched her face again. Even if that was the case she was not willing to return since too many eyes were on her, maybe once she reached her Absolute Peak of Foundation Establishment, she would do something about it.
...
Saintess arrived at the bottom of the Sect. She glanced at the endless expanse of the stairs and slowly climbed up.
Many people passed by her and respectfully bowed towards her.
Soon a whole group was climbing with her.
"Why is Saintess always climbing the stairs instead of flying into the Sect?" One girl asked.
"She probably wants to honour our Founder." Another girl theorized.
"She is amazing!"
"She is gorgeous!"
They praised her as she climbed the stairs, she always did this, but not to honour the Founder of her Sect.
[You have climbed the Sects stairs where many [Void Amalgamation] Cultivators died!]
[Reward: 1 Qi]
[Qi: 8,126 -> 8,127]
She sighed. It was so difficult to increase her Qi without spending a lot of time in her abode.
...
She walked through the Sect until she arrived at the Peak where her Master resided.
"Little Xiu, you have returned." A beautiful Immortal hugged the tall Xiu.
"Are you injured anywhere?" She was concerned about her little Core Disciple.
"I'm alright." Li Xiu smiled at her Master.
"Good, good. How about the harvest, did you find the Beast that caused the phenomenon?" Her Master asked her in a gentle voice, but she already knew her Master's temperament.
'She still wants to contract some Mutated Beast after she raises it...' She shook her head.
"I did find the Beast. It was a cute little Fox." She didn't lie, as she knew she would be punished by having to sit in the cold ravine staring at the wall. She didn't want that.
"Little Fox..." She clicked her tongue. "I don't want any filthy vixens in my house." Her Master shook her head. "Alright, you can leave for the time being."
"Yes..." Li Xiu bowed, staring at the system.

Li Xiu always shivered when she saw her Master Cultivation. Her Master was a complete monster. This was the third time she was able to see it after the system was upgraded.
Li Xiu left before sighing quietly, she couldn't go against someone at the [Void Amalgamation] stage, there was just no way.
Li Xiu walked down from her Master's Peak, meeting someone she didn't want to meet.
"Isn't that the Saintess?" The Girl giggled with glee.
Li Xiu rolled her eyes.
Li Xiu stared at her. 'She is already at the middle stage, but she is still so weak...' Li Xiu didn't believe she was all that strong, considering her physique wouldn't allow her to cultivate any body-tempering techniques.
Li Xiu ignored Chen Bai and walked towards her abode. She could feel a piercing gaze on her back, but she didn't care. She had no affiliation with her and as such would ignore her.
This Sect was no longer peaceful, every 5th student was a spy from some kind of Sect, yet when she told her Master she didn't believe her.
"Chen Bai is the True Disciple of our Sect Leader, it is impossible for her to be a spy."
She still remembered those words in her mind. 'Seriously, all men only ever think with their dicks!' She cursed them all, especially that Sect Leader who fucked his disciples regularly, especially after he met Chen Bai who made him even more dickbrained.
'Now his lower head controls his upper head.' She sighed. She really wanted to leave this Sect, but she would have to wait until someone strong enough invited her, otherwise her Master would surely kill her for being a 'spy'.
She felt heavy, she was constantly hailed as a Saint, but Chen Bai still had better accommodations even before she became a True Disciple.
At first, others were also dissatisfied, but they soon shut their mouths.
'If it weren't for Chen Bai's companions seducing everyone left and right, this wouldn't have occurred.'
Li Xiu sighed, she remembered Cultivation Novels which were all about fighting and 'you dare' masters, but reality was just... so different.
'Simp number one, simp number two, simp number three...'
Then you had Alchemists who would take 70% of the Pills and you were left with only 30% AND they would also have you collect all the needed Herbs.
She cursed under her breath.
Or the Forge Masters, who would try to force her to undress so that they could 'measure' her. She never did that, but she heard from others that then they would receive a Jade Slip with all the materials, which made them foam from the mouth. Simply impossible to gather and even if you were able to gather them, they would cost so much that even Core Disciples couldn't afford it!
Not to mention, even if you had everything, they would still help you 'dress up' in the armour!
'Bunch of shameless bastards!'
The only thing she was good at was Talismans. She was truly exceptional at making them, but nobody wanted her as a disciple.
"I can't make you my disciple, this art is too difficult for you."
And other shit, even when she was better at making them than they were, but without knowledge it was fruitless!
She unconsciously arrived at the Beast Taming Peak.
There were many different Beasts that made her go wow, but...
*Spit*
Li Xiu took a step to the side as spit hit the ground were she stood a second ago. It was the beautiful horned horse who spat at her.
*Spit*
Another Beast spat at her and she had to dodge again.
*Peck*
"Agh!" A bald crow pecked her head, making her bleed.
"Why me!" She cried out only to get kicked out of the Peak by a Demonic Pig.
She cried lifelessly, dragging her body to her abode, nurturing her wounds...
...
She returned to her abode to check her system logs, it was too difficult to go through all of them when she was travelling.
She skimped through them only to pause with a shocked expression.

This had never happened before! She didn't understand what this meant, but she hoped she would be able to meet that little Beast again and ask it...

[Princess and her Mother]
The Princess boarded the luxurious carriage that was drawn by a flaming Qilin.
"Mom..." The Former Princess said gently.
"Jia..." Fang Jia's mother sighed. "You should forget about this place."
"No, that's not what I meant, Mom..." Fang Jia sighed. "I miss that little one."
Fang Jia already missed that little fluffball. She enjoyed eating and cuddling with her. She was soft and somewhat obedient, with hints of mischievousness.
Fang Jie smiled, she was happy that her daughter cared more about the little Beast, rather than the big animal. While yes, she was impressed he was able to kill them, he didn't hurt their daughters. There was no clean end to this and their blood would keep polluting this land.
"When we get back, I will resume teaching you Alchemy and you will Cultivate in peace." Fang Jie smiled gently at her daughter.
"Mom..." Fang Jia hugged her mother tightly, she didn't want to be separated from her again, but she also didn't want to learn Alchemy. "Can I learn Forging instead?"
Fang Jia made puppy eyes at her mother, mimicking the irresistible eyes that the little fluffball would use occasionally.
Fang Jie felt like her heart was hit and she hugged her daughter with her four fluffy dark green tails. Unlike other Foxes which typically had coloured tips, the colour of hers was perfectly uniform.
They nuzzled while travelling. Fang Jia really did miss her mother, so she stuck to her like a tick.
The guard doubling as a coachman smiled gently. He was ordered by his Master to deliver them safely without a single hair harmed.
Naturally, he would obey his Master, but this time he needed no command. He would make sure they are not hurt, so his Master can succeed in her plan.
...
The ride was pleasant, unbeknown to Fang Jia and her mother, they were ambushed several times, but the coachman was not one to be trifled with. Once the bastards were less than a mile away, they were split in half even before they could make a sound.
This coachman has already achieved his own sword domain. He was able to cut anything within a 1,000-mile radius as long as he saw them or a 1-mile radius without needing to see them.
They arrived in front of a luxurious hidden palace. Fang Jie frowned, she didn't want to see her employer, but she also understood that she was protected by her, so they went together. Fang Jie was shielding her daughter. She was worried that one of the old fools would take a liking to her and take Jia from her. She would never allow that!
"Fang Jie, you are back~" A pleasant voice drifted behind a paper curtain. She was shrouded and only her body proportions could be seen, yet her allure wasn't really lessened. Fang Jia was mesmerized.
"This insignificant greets the Patriarch." She kneeled with her daughter, who was still stunned.
Patriarch Lian smiled at them, especially at her Fang Jie. She was happy that Jie was uninjured and in good health, but she pouted when she heard her admonish herself.
"Jie, there is no need for such stifling formalities." Her voice sounded displeased, and Fang Jie shivered. She was with her daughter now, so any misstep might implicate her.
Lian sighed, seeing her shiver like that, she had no intention of harming her. One could say she had fallen in love with her, but Jie kept her distance, which greatly saddened Lian. Not because she was distant, but because she couldn't approach her beloved Jie due to her own Cultivation technique.
'The artefact is nearly done and I will finally be able to play with her~' She hummed gently.
"Is that your daughter?" Lian asked, seeing the stunned little girl. "She is quite pretty."
Jie shivered like she was losing her life. "Patriarch, please spare us." She banged her head on the floor, but before she could reach it, a force stopped her.
"Your place is too small for the both of you, so move to the North Wing." Lian gently said seeing the duo.
"Patriarch!" The Elder on the side, who was hidden in the shadows, wanted to step in, but a powerful force made him sit down like he never intended to stand.
The others didn't dare to voice their opinions, they knew that their Patriarch had a strange temper and would kill them if she was displeased.
Fang Jie's face distorted, she knew what kind of place was the North Wing. She couldn't really leave since otherwise the Fox Village would hunt them down, she could only bear with it for the time being, until she reached 6th Grade Alchemist, which would allow her to have greater sway in here.
Fang Jia still stared at the paper curtain, trying to gauge the person behind it. If anyone else even attempted this, their heads would have already left their body, but Lian was indulgent when it came to Fang Jie and since this little girl was her beloved's daughter... she should also indulge her new daughter.
Lian said gently. "Go rest for now, I will call you later to discuss things." She licked her lips and a shiver went down Fang Jie's spine.
...
They left that place and Fang Jia immediately asked. "Where is this place?"
"Don't ask such things, all you need to know is that we are now affiliated with the Alchemy Hall." Fang Jie said softly, she would naturally not tell her daughter the truth, as long as Jia didn't know anything more, she would be able to leave once she was strong enough, unfortunately, Fang Jie fate was chained to this gilded cage forever more...
...
Behind the paper curtain, Lian was looking at the retreating backs of her wifey and daughter.
"Shadow." She commanded.
"Here!" A black shadow knelt by her.
"Search and Purge. Nightingale." Lian commanded again.
"Here!" A female voice drifted from her right.
"You are to protect them, anyone who would slight them shall be killed, if they are core members... send them into the Breeze Pavilion."
""Yes!"" They both accepted this command and spread out.
A shadow tailed the duo, while another slowly searched this whole place.
...
"This place is so small yet homely~" Fang Jia was mesmerized and breathed the gentle smell.
"Your little Palace was prettier~" Fang Jie praised her daughter's taste.
"You mean cold and empty. All the treasures and nice things were given to those wastes." Fang Jia spoke coldly, remembering her 'sisters'.
Fang Jie shook her head but didn't say anything, she slowly packed up her belongings, before being interrupted by a knock on the door
"Fang Jie, I have come~" A seductive voice drifted from behind the door and Fang Jie's face paled.
Seeing her mother's odd behaviour, Fang Jia shouted. "She is not here."
"Oho~ a new girl arrived~" The voice was dripping with sweetness, but in a way that sent shivers down Fang Jia's bones.
"Go away!" She yelled.
"..."
"..."
There was no longer any voice coming from the other side of the doors. Fang Jia approached them but was stopped by her mother. Fang Jie pushed her back inside the house and went open the doors...
Nobody was there. She was taken aback. That bastard would never leave until he destroyed part of her Herb garden or burned her tails. Yet now he just left?
The Shadow nearby saw her frightened and confused expression. She picked up a small hummingbird and tied a Jade Slip to it.
The hummingbird left immediately after she released it.
...
Somewhere far away, a killing intent spread far and wide. Most Elders were suffocated and almost lost their Souls.
"Change of plans." A cold voice spread throughout the Heavenly Treasure Palace. "I want their Souls, every single one of them." She would slowly burn the Souls with the inexhaustible flames of the netherworld, not allowing them to reincarnate ever again.
Every Shadow and Elder shivered. They all felt the scythe of death approaching, yet they could do nothing to halt its approach, as they watched.
...
Fang Jie felt strange, there were no mishaps or anyone to bother them. Fang Jia was also confused, seeing her pale mother.
"Everything will be alright, Mom." Fang Jia tried to soothe her mother, but Jie was still looking around cautiously. Jia couldn't forget that cold feeling which had her feeling as if she was undressed of her clothes, skin and even her flesh, so she somewhat understood her mother.
...
A month had passed by since they arrived in this Pavilion, yet nothing bad happened to them. They even got their own servants who took care of them. They were incredibly polite and respectful, not to mention very attentive.
Fang Jia's worries had been soothed, while Fang Jie still didn't let her guard down. She refused to believe this place improved, she was not as naive as her daughter.
'I will do my best so that my daughter lives well...'
...
Lian sat down in front of thousands of Souls.
"Use Soul search on them, afterwards use the flames in the forbidden zone." Lian Spoke coldly, yet her expression changed almost immediately after.
"I wonder if I should bring any gifts with me when I visit my wifey and daughter..." Lian pondered, she was no longer behind a paper curtain and the sight was both mesmerizing, yet terrifying.
She sat on a soft couch, her nine soft tails of arctic blue swayed gently.
She had a ravishing body which she partially covered with her tails. Her clothes were loose-fitting, yet they couldn't conceal her beauty.
A mere meeting of the eye could pluck anyone's Soul.
There were only three words needed to describe her. Full-fledged Kitsune.
She came down from the Upper World to see if there was anything interesting to find or do, yet all she found was a sad lost little Fox. At first, her heart was cold as ice, but over time her fox thawed it. Especially when she heard her story when Jie was drunk, she was obsessed with this silly little lost Fox. She wanted to have her, yet at the same time, she was unable to approach her.
She would normally not care about it and approach her, making her, her slave, but this time, something was different.
'I don't want to hurt her...' That is what she thought.
Later, Fang Jie confessed she had a child, and an inextinguishable flame burned inside Lian. She wanted to murder her and kidnap Jie, but her thoughts halted...
Fang Jie was simply too lovely when she talked about her daughter. Lian couldn't make a move...
She ordered her shadows to search for them and she changed her plans. She wouldn't protect the worthless lowlife who abandoned her Jia, even if it was due to outside interference. She assigned shadows to guard Jie's daughter and keep her safe without being seen.
Today was the day she saw her daughter for the first time. A half-breed... yet she didn't mind as much as she expected, maybe because she took so much after her beloved Fang Jie and her heart softened.
...
"Sit down." Lian spoke gently. Fang Jia was interested in this mysterious lady.
They sat down and had a pleasant conversation, but Fang Jie stared at her warily.
"I won't gobble up your daughter." Lian chuckled, seeing the shocked expression that Fang Jie displayed.
"My apologies." Fang Jie bowed.
"It's fine, do you have anything you want to learn Jia?" Lian spoke gently. Since Fang Jie was too scared to approach her, she would earn her love through their daughter.
"Forging!" Fang Jia immediately replied as she already liked this Patriarch.
"Very well, I will teach you personally." Lian smiled. She knew a bit of Forging since she learned many skill as a way too pass her boredom, this was the perfect chance to utilize those Skills.
Lian then narrowed her eyes and stared at the ring that hung around Fang Jia's neck.
'Unless that 'thing' wants to hurt Fang Jia... No, it's still beneficial to her, but I will impose a few restrictions on that Soul so that it would never hurt her.' Lian smiled.
"Also..." Fang Jia hesitated.
"Please speak freely." Lian smiled.
"I would like to know if my small fluffball is alright..." Fang Jia confessed. She really missed that little Foxie.
...
She spent her time with Lian, who taught her Forging. Jia was incredibly gifted in the art, not only shocking the Elders, but Lian also felt a bit inferior, which never happened to her before.
She would teach her well and give her lots of good things so she could grow well. As for the Fox Village...
If they dared to approach, she would destroy them. Her Cultivation might be suppressed, but she still had the strength of a Mahayana Cultivator.
