Chapter 136 Unexpected encounter.
Belial looked at the Demon Princesses in front of him, and he slowly raised his axe, but then the axe fell from his grasp. He had no strength left to fight them, and he was frustrated that those Demon Princesses were relentlessly fighting him and didn't show any sign of exhaustion. He lost because the Demon Princesses were invincible, and he couldn't kill them no matter how many times he cut their bodies.
"It was a mistake to let them live," Belial said and then fell into the sea that used to be an ice field.
Vixelleth brought Belial's body back to the surface with her water magic and then tossed him to where Mykel and the others were. Zagan, Vinea, and Bael were shocked when Belial lost to fake demons, and they were frustrated and infuriated because of it.
"These three have nothing exciting about them. They're mere puppets with no secrets or hidden agenda," Amaryllis said after she read all of their memories. "Now is the time to look at the one who was deeply involved in the rebellion," Amaryllis continued as she looked at Belial.
Amaryllis touched Belial's head, and she suddenly stood there and blankly stared at nothing. She didn't move a muscle and Mykel immediately pulled her back to stop her from touching Belial's head and grabbed her so she didn't fall to the ground.
Everyone was confused when they looked at Amaryllis' petrified expression, and how she hadn't moved a muscle. Mykel might have known the reason why, and he tried to bring her back to reality, but her body became cold.
"It took me by surprise," Amaryllis said and appeared right behind Mykel. "I have to abandon that body because it almost endangers my existence," Amaryllis explained as she sighed with relief.
"Did you see him?" Mykel asked.
"Yes, and he stared back at me..." Amaryllis said and she was still shocked. "I should be careful from now on from reading these memories from other fallen angels," Amaryllis added.
"Who are you guys talking about?" Aurea asked.
"The Lord," Elena answered. "Amaryllis saw the one who created everything. We haven't seen him, not even a glimpse of him. She might be the only one who has seen him even if it's truly a memory," Elena continued as she looked at Amaryllis' dead body.
"How is he look like?" Aurea asked with curiosity.
"I don't know how to describe it. His appearance is too overwhelming to see, and the moment he stared at me, the danger is enough to give me a heart attack," Amaryllis answered. "I can't remember what he looked like, and the more I tried to remember, the danger that I felt is starting to crawl on me again," Amaryllis explained.
"Don't bother to think about that. We haven't reached his level, and to be honest, we won't be able to," Mykel said as he gently put down Amaryllis' dead body on the ground.
Those words made everyone furrow their eyebrows because they started to think why they had to bother getting stronger if, in the end, they wouldn't be able to reach The Lord's level.
"If it would be that easy, I'm not going to ask you all to do all these things we are doing now. We made a mistake once because we had no idea with whom we are actually dealing. We need all the information, no matter if it's useless or not, but we have to gather all of them nonetheless," Mykel explained as he looked at everyone. "Was I on the same level as Mara back then? Did I hurriedly challenge her? No. I gathered all the information, and I gathered all of you to help me achieve that, and the most important part was when Elena came into my life," Mykel continued.
"Nothing will go as planned, but we will try to stick with the plan until there's a better plan that comes to us. It's-" Mykel said but then Jeanne and the others finished his sentence.
"It's better to be overprepared and underwhelmed than it is to be underprepared and overwhelmed.," They all answered and smiled at Mykel.
Mykel chuckled as he nodded his head with a smile because they remembered everything he said.
"You're all my finest creations and I trust that each one of you will achieve what I requested. I'm not saying that I will trust my back on you because I already have Elena, but that also applies to all of you," Mykel said as he looked at them. "Jeanne will have Aurea to watch her back, Rozan will have Gerrard, Sven will have Vincze, Lilly will have Nagy, Gunnar will have Enma, and so on," Mykel pointed out.
"We trust each other because we have been through a lot together. Those who haven't trusted each other, I have been doing this for you all to know each other and trust each other," Mykel said. "But even so, you-" Before Mykel could finish his sentence, Jeanne and the others finished his sentence again.Nôv(el)B\\jnn
"You can only rely on yourself as if nobody would help you out," They all answered and chuckled.
Mykel was proud of them and smiled because he had taught them well enough. They were mentally prepared to fight for the worst, but not in their physical bodies. They needed something that was beyond Amaryllis' ability and that included Mykel himself.
"Looks like there's nothing I need to say to you," Mykel said. "What did you find from Belial's memories, Amaryllis? Did you find Luciel?" Mykel asked as he looked at Amaryllis.
"No. I don't think she's here because I scanned every corner of this place. We should go straight to the fourth layer of hell," Amaryllis answered.
Mykel nodded and then let Amaryllis corrupt Belial and the others so they would obey her. After that, they were brought to the gate that connected the third layer to the fourth layer. It used the same method, and all the Kings of Hell had perished to unlock the gate.
"The fourth layer of hell, Greed. This is where Prince of Hell Mammon lives," Amaryllis said as she looked down at the stairs which trembled fiercely, and loud banging could be heard from underneath. "People are crushed by their own greed for materialistic matters and all the money they had spent to achieve their greed," Amaryllis explained.
"That's your ex-dad," Zherlthsh chuckled as she looked at Nefarath.
"Yeah, yeah," Nefarath sighed and was uninterested in it.
They were all walking down the stairs and saw people being crushed by giant demons with a sack that was as big as an excavator. They were smacked like flies with a shoe, and they kept coming back to life the moment the demons lifted the sack.
When they were too focused on the scenery, they felt a strong presence was coming their way. Before they could be on guard, black feathered wings were already right in front of them and grabbed someone from the group. The stairs crumbled because that thing crushed itself on the stairs and made everyone fall for a moment before they all could spread their wings.
It was Mykel who was taken by it, and when they turned around, they saw the wings were big enough, bigger than Aurea's wings. Whoever kidnapped Mykel flew faster than they all could catch up, even Elena struggled to catch up.
"Do you know where you are now?" Lilith asked as she grabbed Mykel by the neck. "You're in my territory now, and I have been waiting for you to come down here!" Lilith said and threw Mykel to the ground and created a massive shockwave that made everyone get pushed away.
It had been a while since Mykel could feel pain, and this time he felt pain after he regained all his power. Before he could get up, Lilith was already right in front of his face even though it was only a nanosecond after he hit the ground. He took the punch, but he managed to block it before Lilith's fist hit his face.
It was so strong that they both entered the fifth layer of hell because of that. The sting started creeping into Mykel's hands, and he realized that Lilith might be as strong as Mara in the novel. It took him by surprise, but he had no more reason to hold back knowing that she was actually that strong.
"My turn now," Mykel grabbed Lilith's hand and then released a blast that sent Lilith away. "You forgot about this," Mykel said as he showed Lilith's hand that got cut off by the blast and then dropped the hand to the ground.
Lilith spun as she regenerated her hand, and then her twelve black feathered wings spread open as they released a black flame, darker than darkness itself. Mykel then released his [Sacrilege Flame] and covered his body and wings with it just like Lilith. It was like night and dawn facing each other and when the flames touched each other, they created small black holes and slowly got bigger and bigger as the blackholes fed on both flames.
"I know how your system works. Half of your powers are depending on the world you're in, and as long as the system hasn't registered the world, your skills are useless," Lilith said.
"So?" Mykel asked.
Lilith giggled and then charged toward Mykel at the speed of light, "So I'll fuck you up this time!"
