Chapter 872: Chapter 872:- Half-Elf Anna



"I feel miserable!"

Anna is a half-elf.

She is 5 feet 7 inches tall. She has long, beautiful hair and slightly elongated ears, which indicate that she is half-elf. Like any elven woman, she is pretty.

Anna is 39 years of age, which is considered really young for elves.

Despite being so young, she has seen all the dark sides that this world has to offer.

At the age of five, a group of elves broke into her house and killed her parents. Fortunately, she managed to survive because her parents hid her in the closet.

Without her parent's support, her life had become as miserable as it could get.

These continued for nearly 20 years when, one day, she met a foreign race worker. It was a human male whose situation wasn't much different from hers. The only difference between them was that he made his living by working in the minds while she searched for scraps in the dark alleys.

After many years of living a tasteless and bland life without hope, she finally found her love. For the first time, she looked forward to living with this man.

After a few more years of struggles, both of them managed to save enough money to start a new life in a different part of the celestial Terrain. They had built a small but warm family and even had a child.

Life was finally starting to look brighter for the half-elf named Anna.

But it seems fate had other plans for her.

One day, she went out to buy groceries. When she returned home, she found her husband and her child lying motionless in the living room. Neither of them was moving or breathing.

Her husband was still holding their child, suggesting that till the very end, he tried his best to protect their child but ultimately failed. Her husband's face was covered in the blood of their child.

Anna noticed that her child and her husband had been killed by many people, as she could see many stabs in their bodies. She also found many other clues, which suggested that this might have been done by some extremist elves who lived in the town. Before this, she only had heard about these extremists but never dared to see them.

In fact, Anna and her husband were planning to move to a human city, but she lost everything before that could happen.

Losing the only two people who brought her happiness and warmth and made her life fulfilling made her lose her mind.

She wanted to take revenge.

She wanted to kill everyone.

She hated seeing people happy.

The thing she hated the most was being looked down upon just because she was a half-elf. Throughout her life, people have mocked her or denied her opportunities that she rightfully deserved and earned, yet she never complained; this was her bottom line.

Anna had enough of this.

She knew that the death of her husband and her child must be done by some extremist elves in the town who despised half-elves and people from other races.

So, one by one, she began targeting those people.

She knew that she wasn't strong enough, but without any morals binding her, there was nothing that could stop her from rising to power. She used every means she could find around her to keep getting stronger while vowing to take revenge for the death of her child and husband.

After four and half years of constant planning and training in secret, Anna finally managed to become strong enough to kill every single extremist in the town.

She did not stop there.

Her mind was constantly filled with thoughts about making the lives of other elves as miserable as possible. She did not want to kill them. Killing them would be just too easy. She wanted them to suffer and feel fear.

It was around this time she met those people.

'And I have accepted their offer.' Anna began to remember their meeting.

'It was another bleak day for me......'

"Who are you?" Anna was heading to her hideout after killing another family of elves when these two mysterious figures blocked her path in the middle of the forest.

"Who are we? It is not important." These two mysterious figures covered their bodies with black cloaks.

Their faces were not hidden. One of them was a human male standing 6'3" tall, while the other was an elven woman at 5'9".

The human male had black hair, while the woman had beautiful blond hair. At a glance, Anna recognized various artifacts these two wore around their neck and ears.

Even though both of them had suppressed their cultivation, just being close to them, Anna could feel that both of them were Peak Fifth-Order cultivators.

"Then what do you want?" Anna was on her guard. These two might have been here to an end because of everything she has been doing on this continent for the last half year.

She looked at the elven woman and asked. "Are you here to take revenge for the deaths of thousands of elves that I have killed so far?" Anna wasn't joking. Over the years, the number of elves that she had killed was beyond a thousand.

The elven woman burst out laughing, hearing Anna's words.

"Revenge? For what? For whom? for what purpose?" The elven woman asked back. Given how casually she responded, Anna could tell that she did not care what she was doing to the elves.

Anna did not respond.

But she could tell that this woman and this human male did not approach her for revenge. They approached her with a different intention.

"Alright, what do you want?"

"We want to help you!" The human male said with a gentle, warm smile.

"Help me? Please stop this fake nonsense and just get to the point. I have lived and suffered long enough to understand that nothing in this world is free. You two must have approached me for a reason." Anna was an intelligent woman.

It seems like they had expected this kind of response from her. Neither of them was offended by her rude tone. "This is exactly why we approached you. We also like things to be

straightforward." The human male said with a smile.

"I will be honest. We will offer you power. But in exchange, you will need to try this experiment on somebody."

"What experiment?" Anna was an alchemist. Though her class was that of a Herbal Witch, she had spent the last four and a half years extensively studying alchemy to master the art of crafting deadly poisons. Her dedication had paid off, as she was now capable of creating Peak 2nd-order pills, a skill that set her apart even among others in her field.

She wasn't foreign to experiments. It was through countless trials and errors that she managed to make herself immune to poison, which ended up becoming one of the biggest

weapons in her arsenal.

She often sneaked into parties in disguise and added poison to all the drinks. Even if she drank

just for show in front of others, nothing really happened to her.

"We are from the Main Continent." The elven woman said with a smile.

"We came here to know if this experiment would work on the Goddess of Nature." Hearing this, Anna was shocked. Though she did not revere Riya like 99% of other elves, she still held that woman in high regard.

Riya was one of those elves whom she respected a lot because of all the effort she put into healing the sick and injured ones for free.

"I haven't even seen her. How do you expect me to conduct an experiment on her?" To her, this is simply an impossible task.

"She ber being engaged to the Dragon monarch, it's literally impossible to harm her." Anna was someone who did not care about her life, but this did not mean that she was going to

accept a suicidal mission.

"Don't worry! We have a way to lure her to you." The man said with a smile. They had come

here with a plan.

"First, let's talk about what kind of experiment you want me to conduct on her." Anna wanted

to know more before she agreed.

"Basically, this experiment involves you collecting 100 pairs of ears of elves who had been murdered after being tortured by your hands. Aside from collecting ears, it involves collecting the target's one tooth, a drop of their blood, left pinky finger, a piece of their left rib bone,

one strand of their hair, and one of their eyes."

"Basically, this is a dark ritual?" As an alchemist, she knew about dark rituals. In the past, she

tried to conduct a few dark rituals, but gathering materials for dark rituals was very tough,

especially for her power level.

"Yeah!" Neither of them hid anything. They admitted the truth when Anna asked them.

The reason she understood that this was a dark ritual is because, often, in dark rituals, these kinds of things are required.

"But to conduct a successful, dark ritual, other materials are also required." After saying these words, Anna felt dumb. If these people have already approached her with the intention of conducting a dark ritual, they also must have gathered all the required materials for her.

"Don't worry, we have all the things that you will need." The elven woman showed a storage

ring.

Anna nodded her head.

Once she finished, Anna's face was filled with shock and disbelief.

"How is that even possible?" She knew a lot of forbidden things were possible through dark

rituals, but doing something like this felt very exaggerated.

"It's possible! We are one hundred percent sure that this ritual will work. We just need you to

confirm how effective this dark ritual is."

"Alright! But what do I get for taking such a massive risk?" Anna asked.

"First of all, you will become a Non-official member of our organization. "This means you will need to sign a Non-disclosure contract. This is basically a binding contract that will prevent you from leaking any information about our organization in any

form or shape."

"Rest assured, this is the only task that you will receive as a Non-official member of our

organization."

Anna nodded her head. Basically, she was hired for one job, and then she would be forgotten.

She was okay with that. She wasn't interested in obeying the orders of some mysterious

organization.

"Now, let's talk about the benefits."

"First of all, we will give you one spirit stone." Hearing this, Anna was very tempted.

After four and half years of cultivating, she was stuck at Peak Third Order. If she uses the spirit

stone to cultivate, then she will reach the next order within a few days.

"Second, you will receive a four-star poisonous dagger."

"Third, you will receive 100 million royal gold coins."
