“Don’t panic, with so many martial masters here, could we possibly be afraid of just one Dragon King? It dreams of monopolizing this Rain Pool—wishful thinking!” the Young Clan Leader shouted angrily.

At a single command, all the martial masters spread their legs into a horse stance, their energy sinking into their dantian, their bodies now exhibiting a yellow Gang Qi, like a special layer of protective barrier.

Initially, the Gang Qi barrier merely enveloped them, but gradually, the Gang Qi from each person merged together, eventually forming a massive yellow shield that enveloped the entire Rain Pool, like a copper wall and iron bastion, cutting everything on the outside off.

That Azure Dragon coldly overlooked these human martial masters, when suddenly the feathers on its dragon wings burst forth with an azure brilliance. As this brilliance dispersed, it became like multiple sharp azure swords, piercing mercilessly through the mountains and even puncturing the Gang Qi protective barrier formed by the hundreds of martial masters!!

With a dragon roar, the Azure Dragon dove down, its whole body shimmering with azure light as if flames were burning. When it struck the rocks near the Rain Pool, azure flames wildly swept through, scorching those closely huddled martial masters, causing them to howl in pain.

“Take this punch, Gang Qi Bone-Bursting Fist!” Elder Martial Artist Yang bellowed, charging towards the Azure Dragon like a crazed bull, gathering all his strength into his right fist. Instantly, his punching power erupted, slamming heavily into the Azure Dragon.

Unfortunately, the Azure Dragon didn’t bother to dodge or evade; it let the old martial artist’s fist hit it squarely. The Azure Dragon stood there, utterly motionless, its pair of azure vertical pupils coldly and arrogantly looking down upon the old martial artist.

With a sweep of its wings, the old martial artist was sent flying and embedded into a stone wall.

Just like swatting a fly, in the face of this Azure Dragon, even the highly experienced and distinguished palm technique expert, the old martial artist, was just a minor character, unable to withstand a single blow!

The mountain crumbled, rugged rocks turned to dust, and the Azure Dragon near the Rain Pool suddenly raised its head, conjuring one light barrier after another from thin air. These light barriers stood upright, and from a high vantage point, they formed a massive pattern of light, protecting the Azure Dragon within like a fortified barrier of radiance!

The Subjugating Dragon Palm struck, shattering just a few light barriers, but there were dozens of layers inside and out, which also rotated and rearranged, forming different patterns of light barriers!

Blood spurted from his mouth in great gushes; the method of transferring power itself would inflict a certain level of internal injury on every martial master subjected to the force, and upon seeing that the Azure Dragon was completely unharmed, the martial masters were spitting blood incessantly.

Perhaps the internal injury wasn’t severe, but it was the overwhelming sense of powerlessness and humiliation that truly damaged their spirits!

North Utmost Ridge

North Utmost Ridge is divided into Lower Isolated Ridge and Upper Isolated Ridge.

The Lower Isolated Ridge had already taken on the verdant hues of spring – grass burgeoning, birds singing, and mountain flowers blooming brilliantly, with some special ridge trees adding to Lower Isolated Ridge’s most splendid sights, often resembling giant pines climbing the cliffs like dragons!

The Upper Isolated Ridge, however, was still covered with a layer of azure ice and snow, with a climate greatly different from that of Li Chuan Plain. The Absolute Ridge Chengbang that Li Yunzi mentioned is located within Upper Isolated Ridge, but signs of their activities had gradually appeared on the Lower Isolated Ridge and the Li Chuan Plain.

The Lower Isolated Ridge was equally precipitous; its bottomless valleys were dark and deep, more like the crevices of dark despair in the flourishing world, inhabited by unknown evil creatures and toxic insects. A fall would mean being trapped by miasma down below; unless one found the exit to Absolute Valley, escape was virtually impossible.

The changes brought by the Time Wave weren’t all beneficial.

The Absolute Valley was clearly affected by the Time Wave, accumulating millennia of miasma, becoming more than ten times more dangerous than before. It was said that some creatures hibernating within and the poisonous flowers and trees that grew alongside them experienced such an increase in their cultivation base that they transformed from demons into saints!

The Cultivation Fruit Tree’s location was particularly unsettling.

It grew sprawling on a cliff, above which towered two lofty Black Ridges, while below lay the terrifying valley of dormant creatures. Though many ancient pines intermingled between the Black Ridge cliffs, standing on these pine branches, with the valley of despair directly beneath, one’s heart thrashed in fear!

“What an opportunity, this Cultivation Fruit Tree, even troops have been deployed, holding Repeating Crossbows guarding both mountain ridges!” Zhu Minglang exclaimed in amazement.

Above the Black Ridge, throngs of people moved about; an army of twenty thousand stood atop, wielding cold iron Repeating Crossbows. Not even flocks of demon birds daring to approach would be spared, they would shoot down even a few unwitting flies that happened to pass by.

Upon Zhu Minglang’s arrival, he immediately witnessed the terrifying prowess of the Repeating Crossbow army – they shot down a Mountain Cloud Dragon that was circling the ridge, a former sovereign of Lower Isolated Ridge, killed outright by the Repeating Crossbow army!

Apart from the army’s protection, around this Cultivation Fruit Tree were several small forces, similar to Mouse Despise Daoist Temple, patrolling the area. If they saw anyone approaching, they would kill them on sight without even asking questions!

Their methods were extraordinarily cruel, demonstrating their resolve to claim this Cultivation Fruit Tree for themselves!
