Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 435 Completed Fusions

Rylen and Aria had incredible abilities that would be really helpful for this camp. Because of that, he decided to make several arrangements for them so they could grow properly, even if the world outside was filled with Zombies.

Nonetheless, to ensure that they wouldn't feel burdened by not being able to help much, he would sometimes ask them to help him with the wooden tokens. Apparently, he even had an idea to use these tokens as a currency within his Shelter. After all, the number of skills he could infuse with each token was certainly high, considering the number of his Spirit Points and the Spirit Stones he would be receiving soon from the Long Lodge Shelter after his Zombie Transaction with them.

Anyway, Shane decided to continue with his remaining Skill Fusion Scrolls. It took him quite some time to decide as he was unsure whether he'd waste a skill that might be really useful soon.

Nonetheless, he still continued.

[ Skill Fusion in progress. ]n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

[ Skill Fusion Successful. ]

[ You have obtained Blaze Flow Lv10 ]

[ Fusion of Vortex Spin + Adrenal Burst + Elemental Resistance

[ Blaze Flow : Turns the user's spinning attack into a fiery vortex, dealing both physical and fire damage to nearby enemies. Blaze Flow also provides elemental resistance to heat and flames, allowing the user to remain in close proximity to fire sources without harm. A surge of stamina aids in chaining this attack for either aggressive engagement or swift retreats.

Shane frowned at the result of this fusion. After all, the Elemental Resistance Skill allowed him to resist not just fire elements but even other elements like ice, wind, and even lightning.

He didn't expect that because merging it with Adrenal Burst and Vortex Spin would make it only focus on the fire element resistance instead.

'Well… It already happened.' Shane mused to himself.

Anyway, Shane could only accept it since this was still a decent offensive ability in the end.

He then picked up another Talisman and received the same message from the system before selecting the Skills he wanted to fuse.

After confirming that he had decided to activate the scroll, he waited for the system to do its part.

[ Skill Fusion in progress. ]

"Hmmm…" Shane sweated for a moment as he thought that it would be just like the others. However the progress didn't respond for some time!

'Will it fail?' Shane was nervous as he didn't want to waste another Fusion Scroll. Although he knew that there was a chance for it to fail, he still didn't feel good about it, especially after having succeeded consecutively.

'Please don't fail…' Shane silently prayed as he waited for the positive result…

Unfortunately, the worst thing did happen.

[ Skill Fusion Failed. ]

"Ugh… I was too ambitious…" Shane muttered with a sigh.

He actually tried to fuse Brawler's Fury, which was already a Fusion Skill, to two other Survivor Skills.

'Well… It's my fault…' Shane felt really good after several successful Fusions, and he indeed had to just do the basic Fusions for now.

'I hope there's a Skill Fusion Scrolls for Fused Skills.' Shane thought to himself before he decided to pick up another Fusion Skill Scroll.

After some hesitations, he selected three normal Skills to fuse.

[ Skill Fusion Successful. ]

[ You have obtained Spectral Tracker Lv10 ]

[ Fusion of: Enhanced Sense + Phantom Sprint + Triple-Enhanced Vision ]

[ Spectral Tracker: A specialized tracking ability that combines enhanced senses with stealth and speed. Spectral Tracker grants the user improved vision to detect faint trails or hidden movements even in poor lighting. When activated, the ability provides a boost in agility, hides presence, and creates an afterimage of the user.

Cost: 30 Spirit Points ]

"Spectral Tracker… Not bad…" Shane liked this ability since the Triple-Enhanced Vision and Enhanced Sense were already kind of duplicates. He also had other skills that heightened his senses. They really needed to be taken out already.

The result was also a lot better than he had expected.

What he really liked about the ability was the fact that he

Shane still has one more Skill Fusion Scroll with him… Initially, he wanted to reserve it and just wait for the next skill to arrive before considering it. However, he believed that he already had a higher chance of finding Skill Fusion Scrolls.

There were even some of them being sold in the Marketplace for 300 Item Upgrade Crystals. The price was certainly too much, but in the end, as long as many Survivors continued to do missions and get rewarded by the system, there would surely be a supply of Fusion Scrolls in the Market no matter what.

Because of that, he decided to continue…

With a deep breath, Shane used his last Skill Fusion Scroll, in the end, he decided to just fuse two similar skills.

It was the Nature's Guise and Ethereal Cloak.

[ Skill Fusion Successful. ]

[ You have obtained Veiled Step Lv10 ]

[ Fusion of Nature's Guise + Ethereal Cloak ]

[ Veiled Step: Grants the user a temporary phase-shift, allowing them to blend seamlessly into natural environments and become semi-transparent for brief periods. Perfect for stealth operations in wooded or overgrown areas, Veiled Step also provides minor evasion against detection-based abilities.

Cost: 40 Spirit Points ]

"Veiled Step… Another movement ability." Shane muttered as he gently nodded. He already felt that he had enough to explore the location that Ibrahim and Tieria found.

Anyway, Shane then turned his attention to his current Skills.

[ Survivor Skills: Lockpicking, Hacker, Fast Swimmer, Mining, Alchemy, Horseback Riding, Lesser Beast Taming, Horizontal Slash, Five-Meter Jump, Titan's Roar, Underground Burrow, Armored Dash, Poison Resistance, Adrenaline Surge, Double Thrust, Meditation, Mental Clarity, Language Mastery, Sword Mastery, Vortex Spin, Quick Draw, Dust Kick, Fast Learner, Sturdy Stance, Quick Patch, Basic Throw, Tension Control, Resource Gatherer, Pulse Hacking, Blood Oath, Nano Restoration, Faerie Insight, Adrenal Burst, Arcane Veil, Phantom Recall, Energy Wave, Resilience Protocol. ]

[ Fused Skills: Survivalist, Crowd Manipulator, Phantasm Rush, Trap Mastery, Elemental Resistance, Heightened Awareness, Resources Handler, Shadow Hunt, Armament Expert, Brawler's Fury, Predator's Surge, Aura Sentinel, Force Breaker, Spectral Tracker, Veiled Step. ]

"That's a lot of Skills." Shane muttered to himself as he really felt himself get stronger.

After analyzing his skills and imagining himself in combat with these abilities, Shane decided to just relax for a moment before visiting Rylen and Aria…

While sitting on his bed, Shane opened his Regional Chat since it was time to get caught up on the latest events happening around him. As soon as he opened it, he started scrolling to see the previous conversations.

Then, something caught his attention and so, he started reading from there.

[ Jiyuen: Has anyone else seen those Wild Shelters moving? I swear, the one east of us has sent out at least a hundred Skeleton Warriors this morning alone. ]

[ Eli: Yeah, it's crazy. They've been clearing out the Zombies like they're doing us a favor, but at this rate, they'll clear the whole zone! No loot, no XP for us! ]

Shane nodded and agreed after reading this. It was certainly good to have those Wild Shelters clear the Zombie hordes, but that's only if they were weak. If they were already quite developed, they'd rather have some Zombies stumble upon their shelters and get Experience Points.

[ Amira: And it's not just random Skeletons either. The Wild Shelter I scouted had some higher-tier undead roaming around too. They're not just mindlessly wandering; it's like they're following orders from someone. Their summoner or the Necromancer there must be very high level. ]

[ Travis: Well, The Necromancers of this stage must've gotten a lot stronger after the Zombie Wave. They've probably got some big ritual planned if they're amassing this many troops. But why clear out Zombies? That's our grind! We're planning on eliminating these Wild Shelter and I hope that all other Clans would do the same to the nearby Wild Shelters. Do not fight your fellow Survivors! Fight our common enemies! ]

Travis had appeared once again and tried to convince everyone to make the same move as him.

[ Zane: This won't be easy. The Wild Shelter to our south is the worst of them all! Over a thousand Ghouls were sweeping through the areas. They're cleaning out every Zombie they come across—hundreds at a time. I barely found anything left to hunt in my whole scouting route. They're getting out of control. ]

[ Raze: That's rough. I get why they'd want control, but doesn't anyone else think this is suspicious? I really think everyone should attack them... Once they build up their forces, your shelters will be next. ]

[ Micah: What's worse, they're taking out some boss Zombies too! I had a lord-tier Zombie near our base that could've given great loot. By the time our assault team got back, the Necromancers' skeletons had already finished it off. Loot vanished with it. ]

Shane even saw Raze joining the chat as he nodded. It seemed that he no longer needed to inform her to clear any Wild Shelters nearby.

Although they have done it before the Zombie Wave already, it wouldn't be wrong to search for any rising Wild Shelters.

'Wait---Huh? Lord tier?' Shane suddenly reacted, although late, after he processed what he read in the chat.
