Greek Mythology: I open a treasure chest at Olympus

Chapter 48: Praise the Golden Light

Chapter 48: Praise the Golden Light

The light shone, and the dark world suddenly became brighter.

The disintegrated army and the terrified residents were full of surprises, looking at the golden figure standing in the sky, radiating infinite light.

Chiron sat on the ground with four hooves, looking at the sky in surprise.

“A god actually appeared, such a light. Is he the one from the previous two times?” He whispered.

“The light of disgust, the breath of disgust… Who are you?”

Raising his nine hideous heads high, Hydra’s eighteen eyes stared coldly into the distance.

“I am Apollo, the God of light. I am here to judge your sins.” Apollo stared lightly.

“Apollo, the God of light, isn’t this the beloved god who gave the golden rain of the sun back then?” All the mortals in the nearby city-state recalled.

“It turned out to be the child of Zeus and Leto. You are not yet a hundred years old. The gods who are not adults dare to provoke the great Hydra. You are looking for death!”

Hydra hissed hideously as nine ugly heads ejected foul-smelling venom.

“The holy light, from which no one can escape.”

Apollo’s golden eyes flashed, his eyes shot out blazing rays, and the poison splashed in the air instantly burned.

“Impossible, you fetus-born gods!”

Hydra trembled with rage, the pupils of his eighteen eyes tightened, and a terrifying green glow pervaded his body.

This green light appeared for a moment, and everything that was contaminated with it, whether it was soil or stones, trees or flesh and blood, melted and disintegrated like when ice meets fire.

The green light that filled the sky seemed to carry endless corrosive power, rushing towards Apollo like a tide.

“Pure white flame, burn the filth.”

Under the gaze of everyone, Apollo murmured indifferently, and a pure white firework suddenly appeared in the void.

The fiery temperature distorted space, throbbing in a tidal wave of green light.

The surging green light rustled as soon as it encountered the pure white flame, and the river evaporated into steam.

Apollo stood in the light, and his golden eyes flashed.

The light in the sky was like a sharp arrow shooting at Hydra.

The nine-headed giant snake was startled, and his huge body shrunk suddenly, like an inflated balloon spit out the air inside, withering and shrinking.

Boom!

A torrent of light flooded.

A ray of light hit Hydra in the abdomen.

Puff!

The sound of the furnace making iron came from Hydra’s abdomen. The scales on his body were burned into ashes, and smoke came from his charred flesh.

Intense pain stimulated Hydra, but when he looked back, he saw thousands of beams of light, which covered him like a rain of arrows.

It was terrifyingly like a loach, his nine heads flexibly digging into the ground.

Chiron, the army, and the people in the city-state were stunned.

It turned out that this ferocious-looking monster was like a reptile in the ground in front of the great God of light.

“Not good!” Chiron’s expression suddenly changed.

After Hydra drilled into the ground, there was a torrent of light like a rain of arrows that did not stop at all.

The battlefield below shrouded the sky.

“Are the gods going to kill us all together?” The scattered soldiers panicked with fear.

But they saw that these beams had just destroyed the scales of the Hydra that were stronger than bronze.

If it fell on themselves and others, would they still be alive?

“Gods have mercy!”

The soldiers fell to the ground in panic, praying in panic.

The people in the city-state were also stunned and panicked.

“I said there are no generous gods in Olympus, but it turns out that they are also noble celestial gods who do not care about the life and death of mortals.” Chiron sneered up, pulled out his bow and arrow, and aimed at the golden figure above in the sky.

Suddenly a silent voice rang in his ears: “Teacher, you often taught me that the things I see might not be true, to learn to think more to judge. Why are you now also reckless, with prejudice?”

“Thekasha, it’s you.” Chiron looked back at the suddenly appearing white-skirted girl and was surprised, “Delphi wasn’t attacked by a monster, was it, and why is there a faint black iron glow on you?”

“Delphi was also attacked, but fortunately we had the help of Lord Apollo, a generous and great god who will shine the light on all darkness!”

“What I have is the Dou Qi, something created by Lord Apollo for mortals to gain strong power, and he wants us to defend our own lives and dignity.”

Thekasha fell to her knees and gazed reverently at the light in the sky.

Chiron looked at her in surprise, with disbelief flashing in his eyes.

How can there be such a god?

The ones on Olympus were a bunch of savage assholes.

The light in the sky finally shrouded the entire battlefield.

The soldiers, whose faces were covered in fear, dazedly saw beams of light passing through their bodies.

The wounds of the injured body suddenly healed, and the whole body was warm, and all the fatigue disappeared as if there was endless energy.

Beside them, the dozens of monsters who followed Hydra came, but under the shroud of light, hot flames erupted from their bodies, and they wailed mournfully.

In a short time, they all turned to ashes.

“A good man who sees the light is met with the warmth of the spring sun; an evil thing who sees the light is like being burned by a blazing fire. All are distinguished under the eye of light.”

In the bright light, Apollo’s solemn voice came.

Puff!

On the battlefield and in the city-state, soldiers and civilians knelt on the ground at the same time.

“Great God of light, you are the brightest star in the vast sky, you are the Lord of kindness and discernment, your splendor will surely walk in the sky, in the earth, in the sea, and in the hearts of all spirits…”

Gazing at the dazzling, magnificent figure above the sky, Thekasha first recited this honorific name.

Immediately, all the people on the ground followed the prayer.

Looking at the rows of figures kneeling down, Chiron froze in place.

The bow and arrow clenched in his hand fell to the ground unconsciously.

“Are there really real gods in this world that are different from Zeus and the others?” He murmured and gazed overhead.

He had lived for too long.

He had seen the ugly faces of the gods too many times.

He had long since stopped believing that the gods were beings worthy of faith.

They were nothing but a group of barbarians with great power.

But now he found that this was just his own prejudice.

There was finally a god in the world that was truly worthy of the name ‘god’.

“The God of light… Apollo!”

Chiron suddenly fell on his hoof and fell to his knees.

He slowly read out: “Great God of light, You are the brightest star in the vast sky, You are the Lord of mercy and discernment, Your brilliance will surely walk in the sky, the earth, the sea, and everywhere. The heart of the spirit… praise the light!”

Thekasha, beside her, looked over, and her bright eyes were filled with pride.

“Lord Apollo, you are indeed the greatest god, capable of protecting all living beings.”

The girl looked at the golden figure in the sky with admiration and said sweetly:

“I praise the light, and I praise you!”
