"You bitch... Who do you think you are?" Anthony shouted at Valentina as he hit her with her belt.

"Ahhhhhh..." Valentina yelled but Anthony didn't show any mercy on her and just hits her with her belt.

Amelia just kept staring at her husband hitting jer daughter but didn't at all tried to talk to him back. Tears were falling down from Valentina's eyes but she didn't try to raise her voice on him.

"You... Only because of you... I am like this today!" Anthony yelled but Valentina didn't say anything and took the hitting of her father knowing very well why he can't stop hitting her and this is normal for him to hit her whenever he is angry at anyone or something.

Just then, the doorbell rang and Amelia looked at Anthony and he nodded his head at her.

She walked towards the door and opened the door. But before she invites him, Xavier walked inside and was shocked to see Valentina sitting on the ground as Anthony hitting her standing in front of her.

"What the hell?" Xavier shouted as he ran towards Valentina and made her stand on her feet.

"How can you do this to your own daughter, Uncle Anthony?" Xavier asked angrily making Anthony chuckle.

"Daughter?" Anthony asked while Valentina looked somewhere else.

"I don't want her as my daughter ever... I don't wish for a daughter... I wished for a son... She is not my daughter!" Anthony shouted with anger making Xavier frown. 

"Son?" Xavier asked with a frown.

"Yes... Son! But she was born for me... I hate her... I hate you! I thought to kill her the day she was born but this woman over there stopped me from killing her... I tried for a son but no... We never got a son!" Anthony shouted in anger making Valentina flinch.

"So, what fault Val has in that?" Xavier asked.

"Fault? If she is not a daughter then I would get a son!" Anything answered.

"It's not her fault." Xavier shouted making everyone's eyes widened. Rose's eyes widened seeing Xavier yell at his fault.

"This is not her fault!" Xavier said and made her take out of the house.

They both walked outside and Xavier tried to control his anger. 

"Is that the reason why he always slaps, Hit, and beats?" Xavier asked and She nodded her head in yes.

"I need won't, bloody hell!" Xavier yelled making Valentina flinch.

"Yes... Yes!" Valentina replied.

"Alright... Don't worry now... You are away from him right now... But why don't you just tell me this that he hates you as his daughter! But what is wrong begin in daughter?" Xavier asked.

"I can't be his heir and run his companies!" Valentina answered.

"What?" Xavier asked.

"Yes! I am not a guy to take over the companies and do his business!" Valentina answered making Xavier sign.

"Why can't a girl take over his companies and do the business?" Xavier asked and Valentina shook her head at him.

"It's a big shame for them!" Valentina answered making Xavier frown.

"What?" Xavier asked.

"It's a big shame for him to hand over his companies fo a girl's and running them is a very big shame too... They don't have girls who look after the business in their families and he doesn't want me to be the first one... Even your father agreed to him and so, my father tortures me every day and makes me regret getting born in their womb!" Valentina said with tears in her eyes and Xavier went towards her and hugged her tightly. 

"I can't believe there are these types of parents now a day's!" Xavier said.

"Well... He is one of them..." Valentina replied with a chuckle.

"From how long you are going through this?" Xavier asked making Valentina smile.

"Since my birth!" Valentina answered with a smile.

"How Can you still smile, Val?" Xavier asked and Valentina shrugged.

"Habituated!" Valentina answered.

"You don't have to anymore... Because I am going to be with you from now on!" Xavier replied and Valentina looked up at him.

"Are you serious? You will turn against everyone if you are on my side!" Valentina said.

"I don't care!" Xavier replied.

"Xavier, try to understand that things don't work out like this... You need to understand them that this is just fate what we are going through... It's what is written in our fate... We can't change it... And you can't do anything about my dad... He is a sick person but a good person but it just that... He doesn't want a daughter... If has a son... Then he would look after him so well." Valentina said and Xavier frowned. 

"Is there still there in this society like son and daughter?" Xavier asked and Valentina chuckled.

"There is... I am a living proof for that!" Valentina answered and Xavier walked close towards her. 

"Val... I don't want anyone to hurt you!" Xavier said.

"Well... People started hurting me from the day I was born... It's fine... When my parents don't care about me... Why will others?" Valentina asked.

"I care about you!" Xavier answered and Valentina looked up into his eyes. 

"I care about you, Valentina." Xavier said looking deeply into Valentina's eyes. 

Xavier cupped her face in his hands and caressed her cheeks.

"You are the one I care about... I don't want to know about you when we fucked each other the first time we saw... It was just like a normal fling to me. You were nothing to me... But your attitude irks me... I wanted to know who you are... So, I can have you again... But until then, I got to know who you are!" Xavier said looking into her eyes. 

"But... Now. I don't at all have those intentions on you... I want to be honest with you... That's why I am telling you all this... If not, I wouldn't have cared about all these... Seeing you go through all these makes my heart pain and is crying for you... I don't even know how to tell you all these and keep this in a sentence... But I want you... I want you in my life... I couldn't see you with any other guy... I will bury him alive if anyone even tries to touch you!" Xavier said looking into Valentina's eyes.

"Xavier..." Valentina replied as she kept her hand on his hand and moved them away from her.

"This is not right!" Valentina said making Xavier frown.

"You are so different from my world." Valentina said and she stepped back from him.

"You and I... Will never be good for each other!" Valentina said making Xavier's eyes teary.

"Val..." Valentina cut off Valentina in mid-sentence.

"Thank you... Thank you for standing with me earlier. But... You don't have to do it from next time... He is my father... He has every right to slap me, beat me, and hit me... I am his daughter even though if he tells me that I am not his daughter... It hurts... I am not gonna lie about it... But... I can't do anything either." Valentina said with teary eyes as she looked up ad Xavier.

"Then don't you like me?" Xavier asked.

"I never told you that I like you in any way, Xavier!" Valentina answered.

"Val... Don't say that... Please!" Xavier requested.

"I don't want to hurt you again and again by lying to you... And I have a name as slut in our school. I don't want you to listen to it every day saying, you are dating a slut... Yes, you can tell me to forget everything and start afresh!" Valentina said with a small smile on her lips.

"The only thing... Keeps me alive today... Because of sex... I slept around a lot of guys because I feel loved at those few minutes having sex with him... Yes, you might call it a lust... But I have never seen it as lust... It's my need. But I couldn't find the special spark in anyone until now... Except you!" Valentina said with a smile and Xavier just kept staring at her.

"Why don't we date?" Xavier asked.

"I can't explain to you that." Valentina answered.

"Why can't you bloody hell?" Xavier yelled.

"Because I am not good for you!" Valentina yelled back at him.

"I don't care..." Xavier said as he stepped close to her holding her face in his hands.

"I don't fucking care about what others talk!" Xavier said with a deadly face looking into Valentina's eyes.

"But I care!" Valentina replied and she moved away from him.

"I care about what others think about us!" Valentina said making Xavier sigh.

"I care about your status... I don't at all suit you. I am not the one for you..." Valentine said and looked at him.

"Forget about everything that we had between us... You are not going to remember it again and come to me again... It's over!" Valentina said and looked into his eyes. 

"And if you ever see my dad slapping me... Just turn around and leave from there... You don't have that right to shout at him." Valentina said and walked past him.
