I Became A System

Chapter 169 - Thalia's Safety

On the seventh day after Ellena fought with Verxal, things are starting to be amazing right now. It's beautiful and interesting.

It turned out that Ellena had made an inquiry with a local real estate firm. And after some inquiring, Ellena decided to buy a house and this day will be the day where she'll inspect the property.

It's amazing that there's no need for citizenship for the local territory. Ellena's national citizenship was adequate for her to have some property.

"Master, the other girls, Selena, and I will have some training.. We will go to the Green Maple Forest." Rosellete said in between their meals.

Ellena nodded and gave them some pocket money to buy appropriate equipment.

"I will leave them in your care, for now, Rosellete. When I finally have some time, I will assist them myself." Ellena said as she handed out the money.

"Yes, Master."

This scene is bizarrely pleasing for others in the diner of the inn.

A huge number of females just occupied the whole diner as if it was theirs. Well, I can't blame them, Ellena's starting to build some organization here.

I also already said some of my rough plans for founding an unofficial organization, and Ellena agreed to it. It was also fortunate that the girls are close with each other. If not, it will be a problem to do some team building.

However, it was their meal, and Thalia wasn't acting normally. To be precise, she looks weak. And because of it, Ellena asked her.

"Thalia, what's wrong? You look sluggish."

"I don't know, Big Sister. I feel I have a fever." Thalia said.

"Huh?" Ellena reached for Thalia's forehead and put it on her, feeling the temperature.

"You really have a fever," Ellena said as she felt the heat from Thalia.

"I'm sorry if I can't be a help, Big Sister," Thalia said with a dispirited expression.

"No, it's okay. Rest for a while in our room after this."

She nodded and after their meal, separate businesses went out for the day. The girls went out of the city to train while Ellena went to see the real estate. Unfortunately, Thalia was left in the room to take a rest.

After finally arriving at the real estate, Ellena was greeted by the staff of the building.

"Good morning, esteemed guest. Can I ask how I may help you?"

"I have an appointment with Sir Rorokey. I'm Ellena Lumbert."

The staff checked a record and smiled back at Ellena. "Yes, you are just on time. Master is in this room waiting for you. Please follow me."

Ellena nodded to the staff and followed her to a room with a slightly wider space. It was an average office room with a pile of parchment paper on some shelves.

When Ellena finally entered the room, a middle-aged man greeted her.

"Miss Lumbert, welcome. Please take a sit before I start the presentation."

"Yes, thank you."

A meeting started. Rorokey gave Ellena some parchment papers containing some of the information about the house. With his presentation, Ellena had a full grasp of the choices she had within the paper.

At first, I thought that Ellena had chosen a property, but it turned out that she still hadn't had one. Well, from this informative and professional accommodation by Rorokey, Ellena finally had an idea of what type of property she'll pick.

"I want the widest lot," Ellena said.

"Yes, a wise decision. From your description of your preferable place, you said that you want to have a house and property that can accommodate 40 people. This is the right place for you. Please follow me to the parking lot, we will now visit the place."

Ellena had given a down payment for the property. It also cost a lot, actually. Perhaps 300 gold coins in total.

***

Finally, after seeing the place, Ellena and I returned to the inn. She's also getting hungry.

For the record, the property that we visited was amazing, and how should I say this?... Wide enough? It was so wide that I couldn't estimate it properly. Maybe it was around 300 square meters? I'm not sure.

I was happy at first. I was excited that we finally had a place to settle. However, it was abruptly discontinued.

Why now? It's really frustrating that we let our guard down. I also didn't think that the person who wanted Ellena dead would use a hostage for Ellena to face him.

Thalia was just... helpful little sister to Ellena, then we were careless and she's now a threat.

Ellena crumpled the paper that she read, burned it with her fire ability.

I can see Ellena's fury. Some electricity is sparking out of her body, clenching her fist with the anger she is feeling.

Thalia... was kidnapped by a person who called himself a finger of Sin of Wrath.

I can also feel Ellena's emotions. I am enraged that just this moment, I could summon Cules from not controlling my anger.

"Thalia..." Ellena mumbled as her voice was filled with anger. Her eyes were straight-edged daggers that could kill with a mere gaze.

Ellena's eyes also appear to be changing colors in blue light.

Ellena's lightning is on a rampage, and I need to soothe her.

"Calm down, Ellena. I'm sure she's still alive. So calm down."

I am also at the edge. However, I managed to calm down and fix my composure.

But Ellena is different. She didn't experience or feel someone using her loved ones to threaten her. This is her first time, and I know that the pressure and emotions that she's feeling are overflowing.

"How can I calm down?"

Ellena's voice was cold. She is overwrought.

Ellena... I am concerned about her.

"I need to save her!"

Then she abruptly dashed outside the inn, heading to the location where the note stated.

"Ellena! Calm down! How will you face him if you don't have a plan?!"

"No plans, Aaron. I will kill the bastard that took Thalia."

"But..."

"Shut up! I will save her no matter who he is!"

Ellena... please... "You are being stupid."
