I Bit Everyone and Became the Strongest Zombie Cultivator

Chapter 78: Additional Party Members

Chapter 78: Additional Party Members

<Congratulations, you've completed a quest!>

<Today's Hidden Quest: Inevitable Sacrifice is completed!>

<Quest: Refuse to bite a human.>

<Rewards will be given. Please check your inbox.>

<Warning, completing the hidden quest does not rid you of the punishment for not completing the other quests.>

I never thought it would be that easy to figure out what the hidden quest is but at least, I get to obtain some rewards in place of suffering a punishment by the end of the day. I don't know what the System has in store for me when it comes to rewards and punishments but I figured out there was no need to worry about any of it. After all, they will come if they will come.

And apparently, there's an inbox now. Who would've thought that the system is becoming more and more functional as time goes on.

Hold on, it also said that the hidden quest was just today's hidden quest, right? Then that means every day's hidden quest is random and I have to figure it out before the day ends? Sounds like a pain.

And if it were like this... then that means the rewards are generous, right?

I inwardly sighed. Guarding everyone was more boring than I thought but at least I get to have some time for myself. These past few days were spent in constant danger and running away from it. But now, I guess it's time to go through my storage rings, assess my system level, and figure out the rewards I've received.

After double-checking that all of them were still asleep, I opened a few virtual panels in front of me, which were provided by the system. The first panel showed my stats as an Immortal Realm Cultivator,

<Level 15>

<HP 1490/1490>

<Strength 490>

<Stamina 490>

<Vitality 400>

<Agility 340>

<Stat Points (unused) 40>

Although I retained my current level of fifteen, all my stats rose by tenfold, which was rather surprising. But then again, if I were to estimate how strong an Immortal Realm Cultivator against a Spirit Realm Cultivator, I'd say the difference in power is more or less that amount. I badly wanted to try out how the change in stats had affected my movement but since everyone was sleeping, I didn't want to cause any unnecessary noise that would either wake them up or attract a horde or two from afar. That's why no matter how much my body wanted to move, I had to suppress my urges.

As for the second panel, it showed all of my skills that I've gotten over time. There was an inconsistency with the System updating if my skills leveled up and I didn't notice it. That's why, from time to time, I check it just to be sure. Now is just one of those times.

<Swordsmanship .max>

<Dark Element level 1>

<Blood Element level 5>

<Ferocity level 2>

<Rage level 2>

<Killing intent .max>

<Zombie master proficiency level 6>

<Automatic Qi Condensation .max>

<Coagulation level 2>

<Purification level 2>

"Wha" I immediately covered my mouth as I looked at all my skills. Here I was, expecting them to gain a single level up but surprise surprise... some of them are already actually maxed out. Well, I'm not surprised about my skill 'killing intent' but the others were a bit unexpected. Especially swordsmanship! When did I ever use swordsmanship?!

The third panel was the store that I recently unlocked after reaching System level 10. There was a cornucopia of products inside the store and some of them were pretty useful in survival. Things such as warm blankets, drinking water, and there were even rice balls available in the store! You can even choose flavors?

Seriously, this store really is a treasure trove!

Recently, I've been slaughtering a lot of rabid humans that my credits in the shop had reached tens of millions. With this, I can easily buy low-grade or middle-grade items such as basic necessities (which are low-grade in terms of costs), and basic weapons, (which are middle-grade in terms of costs.), High-grade items are those super expensive items in the shop that usually falls into the category of a rare herb used in cultivation, or a legendary weapon with top-level stats. Since I don't really need to buy anything in the store right now, I decided to continue saving up money so when the worst-case scenario happens. I would at least have the means to survive.

Still, items such as holy spring, or the great root of Yggdrasil are not included in the shop, which just goes to show that the shop doesn't have everything. Because if it did, I would've been the most powerful person alive right now. The System has its good points, but it also has balance just like giving you in-game rewards instead of cheating in a game.

The last and final panel was the party panel. Apparently, you can track each and everyone person in your party but you can't see their stats. The only thing shown on the screen was their declared name, the amount of hp they have, and their status. The hp only shows a health bar and the status is only written beside their name (just like that game where you catch monsters and evolve them). Right now, everyone's health bar is in maximum, and their status states 'sleeping'.

Wait, a second...

I counted the number of party members we have and the number of people in the panel and they'd didn't add up. After carefully scrutinizing the names, that's when I realized that Lin Xian, Yu Sying, and Yu Yan were also in my party as well. Their names certainly bring back memories. They were the first people I met when I got my consciousness back after all. Compared to the others, there was no 'sleeping' status beside their names. It was still late at night and I couldn't help but wonder why they are still awake at this time.

Well, I guess there's no need to think about it.
