Chapter 368: Chapter 145: The Elixir of Longevity, the Fate of the Demon! Savage Invasion!_4
He never expected to see ‘Hong Zhenxiang’ just now on the street, and the man in grey knew he couldn’t take that risk, needing to call off the operation and head to other towns.
“I can sense Spiritual Energy… I can distinguish the hidden Barbarian Martial Artists by the flow of Spiritual Energy!”
Atop the city wall, Su Changkong was pondering a way to detect the potential presence of Barbarian Martial Artists, which was through sensing nature’s spiritual energy!
As Su Changkong’s Guiding Technique grew increasingly profound, he, much like Hong Zhenxiang, was able to feel the flow of nature’s spiritual energy.
Generally speaking, the stronger a person, the more Spiritual Energy would gather and flow around them, and this was a fact that some Martial Artists themselves didn’t even realize!
Baorui County City was but a county city, with a very limited number of Qi-Blood Realm Martial Artists; if someone with an abundant flow of Spiritual Energy around them and an exceedingly ordinary appearance was discovered, they were mostly likely a Barbarian Martial Artist deliberately concealing their identity!
With this in mind, Su Changkong slowly closed his eyes, concentrated his mind, and sensed the flow of Spiritual Energy between heaven and earth.
Whoosh!
Gradually, in Su Changkong’s perception, things started to change. Spiritual Energy was everywhere between heaven and earth, like a sea formed by mist, and within this ocean, empty spaces were vague human shadows surrounded by thin strands of flowing Spiritual Energy.
This type of sensory vision was quite peculiar, somewhat similar to a snake’s infrared vision. One didn’t need to use their eyes to see; by sensing the Spiritual Energy, one could perceive the shadows of figures!
“Indeed… the stronger the individual, the more Spiritual Energy flows in the nearby area,” Su Changkong noted with a smile at the corner of his mouth. He could ‘see’ that around some ordinary people, the Spiritual Energy flowed in threadlike wisps, extremely thin, while those soldiers with martial arts had more Spiritual Energy flowing around them than ordinary people did.
And next to him, Di Hen, an expert from the Dafeng Iron Cavalry, had Spiritual Energy gathering and flowing around him that was as conspicuous as fireflies.
“Sensing Spiritual Energy, this is a technique only Innate Martial Artists possess!” Su Changkong couldn’t help but sigh, acknowledging that Innate Martial Artists indeed were much stronger than common Martial Artists. Body Refinement, Blood Refining Martial Artists, were still in their mortal shell, whereas Innate Martial Artists had already stepped onto a path beyond the ordinary.
Having cultivated his Guiding Technique to a profound realm, Su Changkong now had the means to sense Spiritual Energy as well!
Hong Zhenxiang, who had eaten Alien Beast flesh, was able to feel the flow of nature’s spiritual energy, but he could mostly not attain the precise sensing of minute flows of Spiritual Energy like Su Changkong could!
As for whether other Innate Martial Artists could do this, or if it was a unique marvel brought about by cultivating the Guiding Technique to a profound realm, Su Changkong was not sure, as he had not yet encountered other Innate Martial Artists.
Su Changkong waited quietly, as time approached the afternoon, nearing dusk, with the sun casting its remaining warmth.
“Here they come,” murmured Su Changkong, a slight curve forming at the corner of his mouth.
Standing atop the city wall, Su Changkong felt several scattered figures approaching the city gates. The richness of the Spiritual Energy flowing around these individuals was comparable to that around Di Hen, and nearly half of them were even stronger than Di Hen. Even though they were mixed into the crowd and walking on the streets, Su Changkong could clearly sense them, like glowing fireflies.
In total, eight people!
So many Martial Artists on par with, or even stronger than Di Hen, appearing concurrently and planning to leave Baorui County City, Su Changkong found it hard to believe they were anything but Barbarian Martial Artists!
“Di Hen! Bring the bow and arrows!”
Su Changkong opened his eyes and commanded in a deep voice.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
“Yes!”
Di Hen, who had been obediently waiting at the side, was invigorated, knowing that Su Changkong had made some discovery. He immediately sprang into action, taking a standard-issue fine iron strong bow and a quiver of arrows from a soldier guarding the wall and handed them to Su Changkong.
Though this fine iron strong bow was far from comparing with Su Changkong’s Star Pattern Gold Strong Bow, it would just about suffice under these circumstances.
“Now… let the hunt begin!”
Su Changkong’s eyes were filled with cold resolve; these Barbarian Martial Artists had delayed him for five days. How good would it have been to use those five days for cultivation? He intended to kill all these skulking rats!
What do you think?
