"Uriel~~!"

"Tia~!"

First day of the new semester.

The same place, the same garden, the same school, the same fresh environment high up in the sky and the same people that I had left a few weeks ago.

"How have you been~!"

My little fairy Tia, my Quinny was with me the whole time so that's that, but my Meddy~! She was here as well!

All of them were back from their vacations as well and they all looked happy to see all of us back after such a long time.

"I missed you~!"

"I missed you more~!"

Everyone knew this was just drama, so they were laughing. It was fun joking with Tia like this since she was the only bestie of mine that understood whenever I was in the mood for some fun drama.

"Mid darling~!"

"...!"

Med was there as well, so when I was done with my Tia, I hugged my little Media.

She was as cute as ever, and since we didn't get to see her the entire time we were home, this was the first time we were seeing both her and Tia after we parted ways with them last time.

"Where… where were you!"

'Because of the conference and stuff, the Glory house was busy all the time and couldn't even come and play with us when we were at home.'

We sent her letters but they all came back bearing sad news.

There was a lot of work so she could not come to visit them without finishing all of that.

Her grandpa was doing most of the things and she could help her and her father both.

And, Tia being Tia lended them a hand even though she could have just visited Heliox or Atraxia by herself.

'She would have had a chance to meet her favourite adventurer if she dropped by since our other love fairy was home all the time we were there.'

She visited for work, but then she ended up staying after knowing about the grand conference.

'The fairy queen was there in the conference according to Eon– sadly we didn't get the chance to meet her this time.

She was one of the organisers this time, as all of us present there knew already, so we didn't get to see her.

Thankfully, we met a lot more people after the conference ended and Elio even got the chance with the Roths that he wanted.

"Eula~."

"Captain, welcome-."

My pretty vice captain… seeing her was always soothing to this paining heart of mine.

Having a maiden of holiness was the best blessing Dark Society has.

"How did your vacation go~? What fun things did you do~?"

There were so many things that I wanted to talk about with all of them.

With her, with the boys, with my other pretty ladies, tell them about some fun things that 'we' did when we were working far away, and have lunch with them once again.

"You look awfully happy, Uriel."

"I'm just happy to see you all like this~! Don't be like that and come here, Delly~!"

Cradle was here taking care of things with President Zod when we were at the conference. They were here and that was the only reason neither of us had to worry about the things happening here.

They had the permission to contact us council members even in the conference grounds so if something had happened, we would have listened to their calls and would have tried helping them however we could.

Or, the headmaster was there anyway.

'There was not much that happened here though. Everything was pretty peaceful for some reason.'

Perhaps those cultists know what would happen if they mess with the sky island… or perhaps they are planning something else for this unique island.

'For a long time now, Rakshasas had eyed the island of magic's wealth. But they just wanted it.'n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

They did not want to destroy this world so they wouldn't even try to make this island fall down to the ground and risk world doom.

But I don't know what those cultists would do… I hate both those shit demon follower kind, but those cultists make me want to accept the ways of the Rakshasas.

I feel like shit for even thinking they are fine compared to those cultists… and it really, really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

'Perhaps that's the reason I'm just being happy by pushing all those emotions to the side.'

However, it seems all those attempts are futile against her unique familiar.

"Mirror?"

"Guuu."

Emotions that she wanted to show me, emotions that she sensed from me, brought back some older and a little unrelated memories, indicating even this unique creature did not understand these complex emotional storms that were going on inside of me.

"I'm alright, haha. There's nothing to worry about."

As someone who loved me and as someone who knew I was in the grand conference presenting a very important topic with my darling, she could not help but feel worried as well.

"I'm alright, dummy."

She was handling herself well even before all of them, but I had to hug her tiger to make her forget about all those negative things that she didn't even know the details of.

"Are you? Really?"

We didn't make it too obvious what was going on between us. Everyone knew Cradle was not as hard and strict as she showed by now and since they knew we were pretty close– not because of her liking for ladies– they did not think much about our little interactions.

"Yup. I am."

Giving her a gentle kiss like I was doing with the rest of them, I moved on to Ezra.

Being clingy with her like the rest of them was not going to be effective so, I just acted like I do with her, and gave her a kiss.

On her cheeks, obviously.

"You were not reachable through the Maginet either."

"I told you… we did not have access to any of it."

"What kind of place did you go to anyway?"

"How would it be a secret if I tell you, silly?"

She was funny sometimes. Perhaps Prince Alph was the only one to know it, but it was fine.

The two of them seemed closer from what I can tell.

"Oh, Carla~."

All of them were here now, excluding Jan and Ginger.

The two of them had gone ahead to meet their teacher before the homeroom started to tell them about their engagement and their absence for a few lectures.

They weren't going to face any problem anytime if they maintained their attendance properly and didn't miss the ones that were important.

"How have you been Belle~!"

Carla was with us but we still greeted each other like we usually do– she tried acting like Tia with us, but failed miserably and just greeted me like she does.

'It was funny, hehe.'

She was funny sometimes as well. Eon couldn't help but chuckle even though he was greeting President Zod.

"Have you been eating well, Belle?"

"Hmm? Pardon?"

"You look thin. Doesn't the empress feed you?"

"...I have been eating well, Miss Uriel. It's just… things have not been going well at home.

Everyone's busy… mom, dad, even big sister has come back, and she's busy as well."

Princess Julietta is an important figure in the art industry. And, as someone who has been doing a lot more things after graduating last year, she has achieved a lot of things as well.

'Eon was even saying she came back from the other planet after doing some kind of diplomatic mission that the Emperor has been keeping highly confidential in all manners.'

She was the second princess as well as a famous name in the industry, so she was obviously busy after the Grand conference. Stay tuned for updates on empire

'We never properly mentioned them but Emperor August was there with all three empresses this time and the four of them had been an immense help to us in the conference since they answered a lot of questions in that group forum.'

They were pretty helpful. Much more than that second princess that almost killed us in Lakmer.

"Awww… do you need any help?"

"I appreciate the gesture, Miss Uriel, however it is alright. Now that we are back to the academy, I believe a few lunches with you all will make me all better."

She was as bright as I left her… my precious sister in law~.

"Haha, Alfred should be able to help you with a few things if you need, you know? Like, with the feeding and reading stuff."

"Miss Uriel! How many times do I say it? Stop with those jokes, please!"

She knew she liked him, but these kids are quite something.

How do they hold themselves back when there's that obvious fire burning inside them with that clear string connecting them.

'If they could see what I'm seeing, they wouldn't wait even for a second and confess.'

But that would be anticlimactic for their disastrous future romance.

"Alright, alright~. I'll stop, haha."

Greetings to the rest of them were still pending so I moved on, greeted, hugged and kissed my other amazing friends that we would be seeing for a while once again.

Captain Alpha was here, as always, and it seemed like he had Luna who had become much closer over this vacation.

They were together even when we greeted them, and though bright as this sunny morning, captain Alpha seemed to be worried about something.

And, well, we could pretty much tell that 'something' was his partner standing beside him that had started to become something more than just a friend for him…
