Chapter 598: Chapter 598 - Vensalor Guild
Chapter 598: Chapter 598 - Vensalor Guild
Skywarden, clad in his signature white armor, fixed Broken with a firm, unyielding gaze. He had always been vocal about his disapproval of Broken's presence, and today was no exception; he was here to voice his concerns about Broken's invitation to the Ass Guild to join his new guild.
"Broken!" he said sternly. "I still don't trust you completely."
A thick tension settled over the room as everyone turned to watch the exchange.
"However, you have shown courage, and I respect that. But I cannot accept a leader who breaks their promises," he continued.
"What promise do you expect me to keep, Skywarden?" "You said you want to be a king?" "Yes."
"Then I'll accept this offer. But if you don't follow through with your words, I will no longer be a part of this guild," Skywarden declared firmly.
Broken met his gaze, unflinching. "I didn't answer Goldrich's question to prove anything to anyone, honestly. And this isn't about avoiding your demands. If I disappoint you, that's your judgment to make... but that responsibility lies with you, not me."
He paused, then added, "But whether I become the King or not… I'll continue on the path I've chosen." He gave Skywarden a respectful bow.
Skywarden considered this, then gave a slow nod. "That's fair enough for me."
Broken smiled, nodding back. "Thank you."
Jovina let out a sigh. "Oh, Skywarden… you just had to make a point about his capabilities. As if you had any other reason to doubt him."
"Shut up, Jovina!" Skywarden snapped, though his tone carried less bite than before.
Elincia smiled, feeling a sense of relief. Seeing someone as stubborn as Skywarden acknowledge Broken's abilities was a reassuring sign.
Broken wasn't the type to seek respect, yet people were naturally drawn to him, as though he had a magnetic force that pulled others in.
Elincia stood up with a gentle smile. "I'm sure Maylock left a message about this offer, Broken."
Broken nodded slowly. "I'd like to hear it, Elincia."
"To my surprise, the most opinionated among us left only a trumpet emoji," Elincia explained with a bemused smile.
Jovina laughed. "So, I'm taking that as a 'yes'?"
"Agreed," Goldrich added, chuckling.
Elincia nodded along with her friends. "I'm certain Maylock is one of the most enthusiastic supporters of this idea," she continued, "so we can only hope his wife makes a full recovery and he'll be able to join us again soon."
Broken's expression softened. "Thank you, Elincia. I hope his wife recovers fully. Family comes first, always. Maylock's been a rock for us all, and he deserves to be there for her without any worry. Whenever he's ready to return, he'll have a place here, waiting for him."
Elincia was the last to make her decision, having carefully listened to the opinions of her guild members. As their Guild Master, deciding to entrust the guild—and all the responsibility that came with it—to someone else was no small feat. It required humility and a deep respect for the person she would be entrusting it to.
"So, Broken," Elincia began.
"I know this isn't easy for any of us… myself included. I want you to know, and I want everyone to understand, that being Guild Master hasn't exactly been my passion."
Her words sparked a laughter through the room, lightening the tense atmosphere.
"No one wanted this position," Elincia admitted with a smile. "In the end, I had to take it. Maylock, our most strategic member, claimed he was too logical for leadership, while Goldrich, our dear old pervert, was more interested in his research than leading anything."
She paused, her gaze settling on Broken. "I know you're a strong-willed person, Broken. But I also know you're deeply responsible. You don't hesitate to stand up for what you believe in, and you have the courage to protect those who need it."
Elincia looked around at her guildmates, then back at him. "So, if there are no more objections or concerns, my final decision is…. yes. We accept your offer, Broken!" she declared, a smile breaking across her face.
The room exploded with thunderous applause, cheers, and laughter.
"Yesss! Finally!" Booba shouted, pumping his fist in the air.
"I love you, Master!" RememberMe exclaimed dramatically.
"Congratulations, Broken," Kingsley said.
"Good luck, young man," Goldrich added with a smile.
"I still want you to learn the Gunsmith class, pervert!" Melliandra huffed.
"Tell me the guild's name, Broken," Jovina asked.
"You'd better not choose something weird, jerk!" Melliandra added, crossing her arms.
"Make sure you think it over before deciding, Broken," Freya chimed in.
"Do you have a better name than our current one?" Elincia asked, smiling.
Booba snickered. "Your guild's name is the best, Elincia... hahaha."
Elincia shot him a sharp look. "Do you want to die?"
Broken remained silent after hearing the question. Everyone then focused their attention on him, eager for his response. After a few moments, he finally murmured softly.
"V, E, N, S, A, L, O, R. Vensalor," he answered.
"Vensalor? What does that mean?" Melliandra inquired.
"The name is cool. I don't care what it means. I'm good with that." Jovina commented.
"Yeah, I think the name is really nice," Freya replied.
"What does Vensalor mean?" Elincia asked.
"Floating Island," Broken said, breaking the silence. Everyone turned to look at him.
"Vensalor Kingdom—the homeland of the Elves, the strongest race in the world before the Demons destroyed it. It was said to be a magnificent place."
"What is that? Forest Elves?" Elincia asked, frowning. "I've never heard such a story."
Broken added. "I once heard this story from my mother… It's one of the most cherished memories I have from my childhood, so…" He trailed off, slightly uncertain.
Goldrich chimed in. "That's beautiful, Broken. Vensalor is a great name."
In truth, Broken knew Vensalor was a name already present in the game, connected to quests Hazel, no but SexyGrill had hinted at. But Vensalor had been in his mind long before SexyGrill mentioned it. It was a name that held a deep, personal meaning… a memory of his mother.
With a faint smile, he nodded to himself. Yes, Vensalor it would be. The name that reminded him so much of her.
"Cool," Elincia said with a satisfied smile. "I think I really like that name, Vensalor Guild."
"Vensalor Kingdom!" RememberMe chimed in. "That'll be the name of our future kingdom! And King Broken, the King of Vensalor! Hahaha!"
Forev frowned, her expression sharp. "Enough, RememberMe! Too much talk. It's getting annoying."
Just then, the door at the end of the room creaked open, and Tora and Toya stepped in. Tora's eyes sparkled with excitement as he looked around. "Oh, sorry we're late! Has the guild name been chosen yet?"
"Vensalor Guild!" RememberMe proclaimed, unable to contain his enthusiasm.
It didn't take long for everyone to agree on the name Broken had chosen. He immediately opened the Guild menu, created the guild, and sent invitations to everyone in the room.
"Broken…" Elincia spoke quietly, catching his attention. "I know it'll take a lot of time to raise the guild's level, so I'm offering to transfer all the Experience Points from the Astral Sorcery Squad Guild to Vensalor Guild, so it can start out at max level."
Broken nodded, deeply appreciative. "Thank you, Elincia. I truly appreciate that."
