Chapter 173 Aura
Leaving the Golden Restaurant smoothly, Lei Zhen made his way to the train station to go to the hospital.
During this time, he had begun to wonder just how far he had finally gotten in life.
'Time does fly past.' Lei Zhen thought to himself, entering the hospital and visiting his sister.
And seeing how she still looked so serene on the bed, almost as if the world does not affect her, Lei Zhen smiled bitterly.
"When will you wake up, Qingxuan? Your brother is getting kind of lonely." He muttered, brushing some of her hair softly.
Almost all of her body was healthy, but it seemed like Lei Qingxuan simply refused to wake up, something that even the doctor was helpless against.
The sine wave of the medical equipment was showing a normal sign as well, and Lei Zhen wondered if it was Lei Qingxuan herself who refused to come awake to face the reality that their parents had perished.
Just when Lei Zhen was getting distracted, his phone vibrated for a second.
He took out his phone to glance at a text message and his expression changed slightly.
'So they finally decided to make a move after waiting for so long huh.' Lei Zhen sneered inwardly.
Standing up, he caressed Lei Qingxuan's face for another second before smiling menacingly. "Rest assured, Qingxuan. Watch your brother begin his vengeance soon. No one can escape it."
With that said, Lei Zhen promptly left the hospital and took the train to head home right away.
Sometime later, Lei Zhen went to the underground passage under his bed and was greeted instantly by the AI system.
"Welcome back Young Master Lei."
"Aura, begin to scan the surrounding areas and locate any suspicious personnel that are sneaking around. At the same time, increase the security and I want you to infiltrate the Shan Corporation." Lei Zhen commanded.
Aura was an Artificial Intelligence created by Lei Tuoming and was inherited by him the moment he died.
Aura was unlike any of the artificial intelligence in the world such as the one Griselda owned.
It was capable of doing many unimaginable things since it was equipped with the best technologies that are now lost to the public.
The technologies were extremely secretive and no one else but Lei Tuoming knew about the process.
And when he woke up from the car accident, Lei Zhen didn't notice Aura until someone informed him about it. And ever since then, he had kept a low profile while having Aura operate from behind the scene.
Throughout the year, he had been gathering intelligence and information all over the world while showing a facade act to fool the public.
"Young Master Lei, I have detected three unknown persons that have been lurking near the surrounding apartment of yours." Aura's response snapped Lei Zhen out of his thoughts.
"Three unknown people, huh?" Lei Zhen raised an eyebrow, slightly in surprise by the enemy's swift efficiency.
"It seems like they have already started making a move since I've made my entrance at the Golden Restaurant. As expected, these people have always been surveilling my every movement."
He might have been lowkey for the past years, but he knew full well that he was never out of their eyes. Just one slip of an action and his plan would be foiled.
pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ His enemies were numerous and to this day, he still hasn't gotten a clue as to who's the culprit for the car accident.
Shaking his head, Lei Zhen ordered, "Keep an eye on the three people and uncover their identity, especially who they are working for. Once you finish the investigation, just send it to my phone in an encrypted lock."
Now was not the time to go full security mode since they are merely observing him, meaning they still haven't known about his underground passage.
'As long as they have no concrete evidence, they wouldn't dare to make a move. Else, they would completely offend that person.' Lei Zhen sneered inwardly, exiting the underground passage.
Sometime later, Lei Zhen returned to the surface and acted as if nothing had happened.
He took out his phone and checked the current views of the video, Zero Fear Debut.
Although he didn't know about Jack Frigel, Lei Zhen was grateful for his review and the article that he wrote. Without it, Lei Zhen doubted their video would skyrocket to such popularity already.
Feeling that his plan had finally taken the first step, Lei Zhen stretched his body as he headed to the MagnoPod.
Sometime later, Lei Zhen arrived at his personal room in Yors Castle, and walking out of the room, he saw Howard standing still.
"What's the matter, Howard? You nearly gave me a fright by just standing there without making a sound." Lei Zhen joked slightly.
"Apologies, Chancellor." Despite the joke, Howard took it seriously and bowed his head slightly as an apology.
"I didn't mean to scare you." He added, showing a solemn expression.
Lei Zhen twitched his brows in response.
Was it because he was always serious to the soldiers that caused Howard to react in such a serious manner?
It couldn't be helped that he needed to put on a serious demeanor whenever he was outside since the soldiers wouldn't understand the order if he were to joke around.
However, things are different now that the rotten nobles have been exterminated and both the external and internal crises are resolved.
"Ahem, why were you standing outside my room then?" Lei Zhen faked a cough and enquired.
Howard nodded his head and began to inform Lei Zhen. "The small boat that King Francis had rewarded you is now ready."
"Oh, that was surprisingly quick."
"Un, the small boat is now docked at the Strandland Port and is ready for you to take over whenever you want."
Lei Zhen was satisfied with the quick reward since he thought Kate might try to delay it further to keep him here.
'Seems like Princess Kate has finally resolved her mind and allowed me to leave smoothly.' He thought to himself.
