Chapter 32: Fight!
Chapter 32: Fight!
"You!"
Cyclops stared at Alex in shock, unable to believe the words that just came out of the White Mutant's mouth. "You... You really are a demon..."
Jean Grey and Storm were equally stunned as they looked at the young man in front of them. The reckless smile on his face and his cold, piercing blue eyes sent chills down their spines.
This time, they finally understood what the Professor had said—if the White Mutant wasn't stopped, the consequences would be irreversible.
Even though they knew he was gradually falling down the wrong path, hearing his unrestrained words still shocked Professor X deeply, filling him with a sense of dread that reached into his very soul.
He couldn't let Alex continue on this path, or in the near future, he would become a walking catastrophe.
Thinking of what could happen in the future, Professor X's face turned serious as he spoke in a deep voice:
"Alex, you've already started down the wrong path. You can't continue to fall any further. You have the power to overthrow the world. That power should be used in the right way, not just for slaughter. Killing doesn't solve problems; it only makes them more complicated and more intense, leading to a situation that's even harder to reverse!"
Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey all nodded in agreement. They strongly believed in Professor X's philosophy:
Peace maintained by violence is unstable!
Only by using peaceful methods can mutants and humans coexist, ensuring lasting peace.
They had always fought for this ideal, constantly thwarting the evil plans of the Brotherhood of Mutants and forming the X-Men to combat crime, changing the stereotypes that ordinary people had about mutants.
Of course, pulling the White Mutant back from the wrong path was also part of this goal and had even become the most important mission for the X-Men recently.
Hearing Professor X's words, Alex showed a thoughtful expression.
"You're right. Peace maintained by violence really can't last..."
Seeing Alex's reaction, Professor X and the others felt some relief, thinking that perhaps Alex had just lacked guidance and had thus strayed down the wrong path.
Now that he had heard the Professor's counsel, he would surely see the light...
"But..."
Suddenly, the White Mutant's familiar cold smile reappeared, sending a wave of bad premonitions through Professor X and the others...
"Isn't there another possibility?
That the violence wasn't strong enough, wasn't brutal enough! That the power was far from sufficient!
If I'm strong enough, my mere existence will suppress all dissent. Just by standing there, no one will dare say a word against me!
Then, and only then, will it be enough. That's when there will be true peace!"
Professor X's face changed drastically. Cyclops was ready to take off his glasses at any moment, and Storm's hair began to rise as the clear sky suddenly transformed, filled with lightning and raging winds!
Among them, Alex was most focused on Jean Grey. A flash of red glinted in her eyes!
However, the Phoenix was still sealed by Professor X, and the current Jean Grey was far from a match for Alex.
The ordinary people around them screamed and ran away, leaving only Alex and the X-Men to face off in the middle of the street.
Facing two Omega level mutants, one Alpha mutant, and an Omega level Telepath, Alex smiled slightly and took a step forward.
His blue eyes glowed with light as an immense repulsive force radiated from his body, spreading rapidly and destroying everything around him!
Terrifying cracks spread from Alex's feet, covering an area of several dozen meters, with only a small area where the X-Men stood remaining intact!
Storm immediately summoned a fierce wind to combine with Jean Grey's telekinesis, trying to resist the overwhelming repulsive force, but they could only keep retreating!
Seeing this, Cyclops quickly removed his special glasses, and two thick beams of laser energy shot from his eyes, charging straight toward the unstoppable Gojo Incarnate.
But when the laser beams reached within ten centimeters of Alex, they suddenly slowed down, crawling forward at a snail's pace!
Alex watched with curiosity as the laser beams slowly approached him. It seemed that his Infinity couldn't completely block laser attacks yet, at least not at its current level two stage.
However, as his level increased, the Infinity would surely be able to easily block laser attacks, toxic attacks, and even spatial attacks.
But for now, the laser attack still needed to be dealt with...
Under Cyclops' shocked gaze, Alex raised a hand, placing it in the path of the advancing laser. As soon as the laser touched his flesh, it stopped piercing through and began to fade away visibly!
"What?!"
Cyclops was stunned by what he was seeing, even doubting whether his mutant power was malfunctioning.
"How can he block my lasers with his bare flesh?"
The knowledgeable Professor X quickly identified the issue.
"No, he's not just blocking your lasers; he's absorbing the energy within them!"
"What?!"
Hearing Professor X's explanation, Jean Grey and Storm were even more shocked.
"Professor, didn't you say his energy absorption ability could only absorb a small amount of energy? Why can he absorb Scott's lasers now?"
Professor X's expression grew even more serious as he explained.
"His mutant abilities seem to grow stronger over time, and he also seems to gain new abilities as time passes! And this growth doesn't seem to have any limits—the speed is even increasing!"
Hearing the Professor's analysis, Jean Grey and the others could hardly believe it, but if this was the case, it would explain everything about the White Mutant.
Looking at Alex, the usually fearless X-Men showed a trace of fear. Could such a terrifying mutant power really exist? Not even an Omega level mutant should be capable of this!
At that moment, their thoughts aligned: no matter the cost, they had to stop Alex and pull him back onto the right path!
Because they had finally realized that if he completely lost control, the consequences would not just be a disaster—it could mean the destruction of the world!
In a red sea of consciousness, a figure with red hair and red eyes watched the outside world through Jean Grey's vision, stunned as she stared at the white-haired figure and listened to Professor X's shocking analysis...
The Dark Phoenix couldn't believe what she was seeing. Under Professor X's constant guidance, she had wondered if she was too extreme and even hated her own overwhelming power...
But now, all she could think was...
What am I compared to him?
