Chapter 149 149. Who The Heck Is She?
Chapter 149 149. Who The Heck Is She?
Right after the black vapor vanished, the air around the tub and the room became pure and refined.
[Congratulations host, you are now an Immortal being.]
[Your current strength rivals that of an SSS rank Awakened.]
The parasite said in his mind but Kevin was yet to wake up.
Kevin's clothes were currently nowhere to be found, as they had melted away, leaving him in his birthday suit, but aside from this, there was something strange and ethereal about his appearance now.
His white skin glowed as white as snow itself and his brown hair became glossier. Then, a few seconds later, Kevin's eyelids flickered open, to reveal a pair of sparkling sapphire blue eyes.
The moment Kevin opened his eyes, an invisible force of energy surged through the four cities like an electromagnetic pulse.
This invisible energy couldn't be detected by mere humans, as not a single soul woke up from their sleep despite the sudden burst of energy that came from Kevin's room.
But there were others who felt the sudden surge of energy pass right through them.
They weren't humans who roamed the land, but rather they were demons who were hiding and feasting in the darkest and creepiest places across all four cities.

In Amber City, the dark silhouette of an evil demon laughed ominously as it held the head of a smaller demon in one hand and its body in the other hand.
The smaller demon pleaded for the huge demon to let it go but the demon didn't listen, instead the smaller demon felt its head and body slowly becoming torn apart.
The huge demon pulled the smaller demon's head off, separating the head of the smaller demon from its body, and causing it to cry out in agony until it became completely silent; its head and spinal cord now dangling in one hand of the huge demon while its headless body was in the other hand.
Laughing maniacally, the huge demon dropped the head and lifeless body of the dead demon to the ground before lifting its head to the moon, its crimson-glowing eyes staring straight at the full moon before shouting into the night.
"Yes!!! Finally!!! He has awakened!!! This aura!! There's no mistaking it. He is the one!! Now, I can find his mother!!!"
It turned around with bloodshot eyes and noticed countless numbers of eyes glaring at it with indignation.
The other demons could feel the huge demon's murderous intent and its aura which was aimed at intimidating them. They knew that if they tried to escape, the huge demon wouldn't let them.
Instead, they launched themselves at it, knowing fully well that it would be the last thing they ever did.

Meanwhile, in a secret room at a research facility in Diamond City, the silhouette of a silver-haired beauty squirmed while hugging a huge pillow and picturing Kevin above her. She moaned softly while calling out Kevin's name repeatedly, almost like a broken record.
"Darling! Darling!! Darling!!! You've awakened from your slumber."
She squeezed the pillow tightly before exhaling deeply as she finally approached her climax just by sensing HIS aura again.
She let go of the pillow and wiped the sweat off her forehead as she breathed heavily. She then said to herself right after her breathing became steady.
"I can't wait to see you again darling."
She slowly stood up from the bed and a beautiful red dress materialized on her n.a.k.e.d body as she walked to the cavern underneath the research facility.
Here, an old man was meditating at the center of the dark cave with his legs folded in a lotus position while he hovered in the air.
He had a long white beard with long silvery hair which stopped below his shoulders.
His white eyelashes flickered open and his voice echoed throughout the underground cave. "Since you're down here, I'm guessing you felt his presence as well."
"Of course, I would, he is my darling husband after all," The silver-haired beauty remarked excitedly while descending the huge stairs.
"Since my darling is awake, it is only a matter of time before he comes for you and your experiments."
The old man scoffed and his upper lips curled up in disdain. "Do you think I'm scared of going to Tartarus?"
He then added. "Let him come. It is too late for him to do anything. We're already at the final stage of our experiment. It is only a matter of time before we implement our plans into action."
"But...." He paused, mid-sentence, before stretching his legs. He was still floating in the air when he asked.
"But you must keep your word to not interfere in our battle when the time comes."
"Of course, I will, What kind of wife would want to stand in the way of her husband when it comes to direct combat? Besides, darling wouldn't want that."
With a loud scoff, the old man cackled and replied. "That's true. Unlike the rest of us, you weren't kicked out of Elysium, and even if you view yourself as a fallen angel, the fact remains that you're now a demon."
"But tell me, do you really think that he'll want you now that you're a demon? I mean, even while you were an angel, you never had the…"
"That is enough!" She commanded with a growl before adding. "I know that he'll want me back. Just get ready to leave for Tartarus once he returns."
The old man slowly lowered himself to the ground after the silver-haired beauty stormed out of the cave in annoyance at his words. He watched her figure vanish into the dark as she ascended the stairs.
Once he was sure that she was gone, he muttered to himself. "It's high time you wake up to reality, Angelica. Your darling has just awoken, which means his abilities are still suppressed within him and that makes him vulnerable. It will take centuries before he can even be half as strong as his former self.
"This battle was already won even before it began."
"And no one will stand in my way of becoming the new King of Immortals."
The old man stopped a few meters before touching the ground and a Crystal at the top of the cave suddenly lit up, revealing countless numbers of SSS rank Awakened clones which were placed inside several tanks at the bottom of the cave.
