Chapter 189: Quest For Three Stones (40)

Quest For Three Stones (40)

Bagel;

Qiao leapt at the monster; the monster seemed already baffled as how the blood hunter brought it in the barrier; only first attack was enough then Qiao gestured the blood hunter to imbibe the blood. Wuza nodded and reached near digging deep his teeth in the skin; at first the monster roared and tried to run however the grip was so strong that it was helpless. The huge neck was still moving sideways to get rid the blood hunter; Qiao noticed this and pin down the neck. Wuza was facing difficulty with the sharp movements of the monster and this pinning stopped the monster from added strength.

Within few minutes; Wuza squeezed the fresh blood from the monster and it fell not moving with the lack of strength. Qiao used his sword to end the misery of the monster. After taking fresh blood; Wuza was looking perky and robust again. "Since you take the blood as meal; do you store it in quarters to imbibe when it is needed? Or just go look for the monster whenever it is time to intake?" Qiao asked very curios. Every time when they wake up from slumber or if a small blood hunter's child happened to wake up in the middle of the night; what they do for this meal?

The most pressing issue brewing in his head was a small question. "The mother huntresses sure do store blood for the little ones." Wuza actively answered. "Then remind me when we will go to the Middletown about the storage bag; I'll buy one for you. There could be some places where the monsters might be unapproachable or more powerful to get hold so in such situation the stored blood would be helpful." There was another reason; only a single blood hunter cannot fully intake all the available fresh blood from the monster so to meet the needs of only one blood hunter they cannot kill a monster every time.

"Does it differences if the blood is fresh or stored?" Qiao asked one last question. "Mostly it does not as long the blood hunter has not some certain sickness or distaste for stored blood. It does not bring trouble for the health of a blood hunter. " Wuza shook his head. "Then it is fine. You have to learn how to store blood in the storage bag for sure." Qiao patted his shoulder.

"It is easy and I already learn it from the elder." Wuza answered and curiously looked at how the brother hunter was cutting open the skin of the monster and then a shining stone fell in his hand. "This is the thing called spoil." Qiao spoke to tell the blood hunter since the blood hunter never hunt for spoils. "I am telling about it because you will need it in the future if you wanted to trade anything for example a pair of clothing or a weapon." He explained. Wuza extended his hand to pick up and carefully observed the stone nodding his head.

"Presently I am level two blood hunter and can imbibe the blood of a level five monster. This is my limit until I reach level three where I will be able to digest the blood of level six and level seven monsters." Wuza sat on the ground to explain about the levels of blood hunters and how they differ from normal hunters. The blood hunter tribes have set the right amount of the laws and rules to follow and there are some natural restrictions for them to worry about other than the restrictions instigated by the Hightown.

"Oh; so this is not simple either way." It was something Qiao did not anticipate. This means the blood hunters were not insanely powerful to just simply latch on some powerful monster and imbibe the blood out of whim. They were limited as to which hunter they could choose.

"Not just the restriction of level but the age also; for example normal humans send their offspring's at the age of twenty two for the hunting while the blood hunter can only bring along when the child reach five years of age nonetheless the blood huntresses start feeding blood to their kids from the very first day so they don't develop any type of sickness. In early decades it was a rule that the child of a blood hunter could take the blood at the age of five however it resulted that many children were unable to lug and heave the effects of the blood hence they cannot avoid the consequences. With the new rules; there are rare cases where a child may deny the taste of blood. Unless the blood hunter tribes are tainted with the greed; they are happy in their dens and with their lives." Wuza took deep breath and concluded.

The last line he always heard from his elder whenever he asked permission to explore the world. "How old are you then?" Qiao got invested in knowing more about the blood hunters. It was also necessary in a way that he would be able to better judge and represent the best advantages in front of the Hightown when they question his actions. He was going to introduce blood hunters in the hunting world after a long deferment of one thousand year. He should be prepared to tackle all kinds of stares and the possible limits.

According to his observation and the information; the Hightown was place if the elders there happened to raise the question and limit the blood hunters then no one can go against it. As for the blood hunters were concern; they were already limited and restrained with the strong allegations. "I am eighteen years old and level two. Within three months; I will be level three. It is because I have been imbibing blood and trying best to maintain my sleep hours unlike other blood hunters. This made me quench more often and I take blood. Mostly other young blood hunters spend their time sleeping and subsequently they reach level three when they are of twenty two years old at least."

Qiao nodded; there was no need since he already could see how enthusiastic and ambitious this young blood hunter was. Until now Qiao was assuming that he must be of same age like him but turned out that stiff and stern looking blood hunter was only eighteen years old. They were conversing on this topic and there was complete silence other than these two being overly concentrated on the chat. The huntress on the other side of the dead monsters creased her brows.

Lowa thought that there will be endless roars and two insane hunters would keep hunting yet only after single hunt they got tired? What was going to happen? She supported with her arm to sit and then looked toward the direction. The voice of the certain someone was missing: was he resting? Lowa dragged herself to clear the sight; the dead bodies were deterring the view toward the direction and slightly moving might help. "Where are you hiding?" she mumbled and dragged further.

"Who are you looking for?" Lowa was tilting her head right and then left to see certain someone when she heard the voice. Qiao was standing right near her and curiously observing her actions. Lowa was stumped and to hide her embarrassment she immediately closed her eyes. When this hunter walked and reached near her? Most of the people make dragging voice from their feet when they walk if not they would definitely create disturbance in the air to let others easily sense. Here he approached near and she was unable to sense his footsteps. When Qiao finished talking with the blood hunter; he felt that there was unusual silence where the huntress was sitting.

The first thought which crossed his head was that 'She died?' and to confirm he came in hurry yet saw her weirdly dragging herself. "Nothing; I was only moving the insects away." She waved her hand in the air as if trying to shoo away the flies. "But I can't see any insect here." Qiao carefully looked and shook his head. This huntress was action suspicious. "Ah I guess there are insects but flee away just now." Lowa smiled looking silly at this moment. "For a long time; you were silent so I thought" Qiao stopped.

It would be little crude if he voiced out what he thought. Thinking this he changed the topic and spoke; "How long you need to heal the wounds?" "I am not sure; the healing stone has done what it is capable of; now I have to wait till the time the deep wounds get healed." Lowa tried to stand up and then sat again. Her thigh was unable to let her stand as it should be because the sword almost ripped the flesh brutally. "You should rest then and if you need anything; do let me know." Qiao gestured her not overstrain herself.
