Chapter 194: Back to Middletown (2)

Back To Middletown (2)

Snow Island is a mysterious place

Along with the tough weather; Snow Island has its signature mysterious atmosphere, the encampment; the elders and the missions with number of domestic responsibilities. It seemed the organizers want it a perfect place carrying strict rules to follow. Qiao reached the entrance of the encampment and the hunters seemed unbothered by them. The normal pace and the flow were apparent; the hunters were returning from the dense and dull forest. Except for few; the others were coming back with satisfaction on their faces. Perhaps few of them faced unexpected events during hunting and got injured. It proved a bad day for them most definitely.

Wuza looked at them with amazement and they did the same; the blood hunter was unusually bigger in stature compared to them and his body was perfected double. His features were that of veteran and his actions were inquisitive; snoop gazes shifted from his face to his fleece which was never seen or sold in the Snow Island market or the Middletown market. It was no doubt unique but at the same time roach. "Wuza; help clear the path and I will move forward." Qiao was feeling awkward as to how the huntress was intimately grabbing him and the number of hunters staring them.

"As you say brother hunter" Wuza nodded and walked in front to clear the path. The senior hunter has already told where he could find the tenting. It was located left to the tents prepared for the organizers. The whole day organizers remain busy in the matters of the encampment so the camp side stays silent for someone to rest properly. The entrance was crowded and walking through with an injured person was little hard. Wuza easily cleared path and Qiao reached crossed various left and then right small pathways.

Before entering the tent; Qiao shook away the accumulated snowflakes on his head and then looked at the huntress; "What are you waiting; your long hair has already accumulated more than I." Lowa nodded and used right hand to jiggle her hair. "Brother Hunter; does all the hunters here belong to the Middletown?" Wuza asked with curiosity. They entered in the tent and Qiao helped the huntress sit on the ground. "It is indeed." Qiao patted the shoulders of the young blood hunter and smiled. "Then how big is the Middletown?" he opened up his arms to imagine the said place.

"Haha; when we'll return to get permission from the Star Glow Guild; you'll witness it." Qiao also sat; he was hell tired with sleepless struggle to get out of the barrier and now this huntress who almost scooped all her weight on him during walk. There were six separate wooden bedding for each of the team member from the Silver Class. "You should also rest well before we could start hunting; I need to get to level five peak soon." Qiao reminded the blood hunter. "Oh wait; there is also a precaution for you." When Wuza was about to walk away to choose the bedding for rest Qiao spoke.

"What is it brother hunter?" Wuza asked attentive. "This is a small Island and the people only follow orders of the Hightown; it is better for you to remain neutral and don't bother anyone if someone came to ask who are you or what place you came from for example." Qiao guided him. This was just beginning of a long journey and Qiao did not want to answer the questions of those who do not have much say in the decisions of true safety for this world. They were only underlings and Qiao wanted to answer in front of the Hightown instead.

"I understood brother hunter." Wuza nodded, "I will use the cloth cover to hide my face?" He suggested. "Not just the face nevertheless you have to restrict yourself from moving faster or showing those traits asset of a blood hunter." Qiao added in. "I got it now." Wuza understood that he .should not let the hunters around know or get suspicious about him. They were talking in whispers and the huntress who was sitting near creased her brows. She was not aware about their promise or the plans.

Wuza was about to move away when his eyes fell at the side and those staring eyes. "What are you looking at? Believe me or not if you tried to scheme against brother hunter then I shall not spare you." Wuza glared her from head to toe and sounded ordering her. The huntress belongs to his place and knew how those huntresses love to scheme always despite someone trying to help them or be fair with them. "Stop glaring me or else I will pull out your big red eyes." Lowa glared in return and answered the same way.

Qiao shook his head; he was not going to keep this huntress in his team for long after all it was not his choice to bring her hare. She could either collaborate with other teams and or go back to his continent; it was up to her choice. His journey and the missions would always be superior and tough so keeping a fragile huntress in the team was not wise option. Lowa sneaked toward the young hunter and observed his actions; she wanted to know how he would react but he did not say anything.

Now she was sure that the hunter would abandon her as soon as she got well. It was true that he won't let her stay here. "I wanted to become a part of this team and would not hesitate to confront any type of monster; please can you give me a chance?" she was too afraid to wander alone in this strange continent. There was not another option but to beg the hunter before he could kick her out of the tent after few days. Qiao got shocked when he saw her tugging his fleece and innocently begging.

"Hold on and stay at distance; I will think about it when you get better." Qiao waved his hand to gesture to remain at distance; who knows if the knuckles of her head got loose again and she started searching his fleece? "You are always kind; I know you won't abandon a weakling in the middle of the chaos." She buttered her tone with sugary vibes and spoke. Qiao got stunned to hear this. He was unable to distinguish whether it was a true compliment or she was only clutching the last hope. He could understand that she was only level four while the Snow Island was filled with level five hunters.

As soon as the encampment came to know; they would send her back to the Middletown or restrict her in any way for breaking rules and entering in the Snow Island without permission. So there was no chance for her to capture any of the strands. Qiao thought it thoroughly and nodded, "Alright; you can become a part of this team but after leaving the Snow Island you have to separate your path." Qiao raised his hand to warn her. As to why he let her become the part of his team; there was a simple logic behind.

With Wuza in the team; Qiao cannot recruit anyone, the huntress was already aware about his identity and Qiao could order her to not tell it to others. She was also afraid to wander alone so she would follow his orders for the time being. Thinking this he stood up and then removed the upper fleece before retiring for rest. This tent belonged to senior team so they were safe because no one would came to bother them or they should not worry that someone might rob them during their deep slumber.

Outside the snowflakes were as usual and the teams who were responsible to remove the snow were on their job. The organizers hired few hunters to clear the snow from around the central tents. The teams on the guards were doing everyday lookout and hunting those monster that end up around the encampment. The bridge was safe from any further danger and the lower level hunters were resting without any worry of the world. The eleven divided Guilds and their teams were here for two more months and those who were able to level up would be sent back while remaining hunters would be thrown in the dangerous part of the Snow Island to survive on their own.

There was a limited time chosen for level five hunters to level up else the organizers would open up the real dangers for them to witness and then follow up fast. All their lives the organizers cannot wait for lazy hunters to level up. It was tough and they have to face it. Slacking was no more an option; do and survive; slack and get killed. The midnight was silent so do the encampment only few hunters gossiping during guard job and not much.
