My Last Hunt

Chapter 220: Journey (21)

Chapter 220: Journey (21)

Journey (21)

This is the end of Vaga Hillocks boundary

"You both can make your own team for the journey." Qiao let them travel on their own. Both hunter gladly took their leave and separated promising that in future if the hunter needed their help they would be willing to bet life for him. Trio was walking very silently; Qiao was searched his map and he was busy locating their present whereabouts. The marked position gave sign that perhaps they were near the premises of ensuing Island which was Angry Dales. A very thin surface plates connected both boundaries with each other.

"Why is your neck reddened?" Wuza was at the edge where the curiosity might kill him if he did not ask what was in the fifteenth path. He only heard loud screams of the girl and when brother hunter went immediately later some loud banging and roaring occurred dying in the end. Brother hunter was furious much and he could not ask about the matter. Nonetheless this girl perhaps could satisfy his curiosity. Lowa did not answer. Her expressions were unreadable for Wuza and he was literally blinking. Precipitously a drop of tear fell from her eye. It reminded her worst situation.

Wuza was agape to see this. "You should not cry. I won't ask anything." His voice was shuddering. He knew that humans especially hunters only cry when they were gravely hurt. He was a young blood hunter and cannot bear to see the girl crying over his question. Blood hunters never cry because it cost them much so when they get hurt in any way they scream loudly turning their pain into anger. The water coming from the eyes was precious according to blood hunters and it was indeed. Qiao was hearing them however pretended as if he was seriously busy in reading the map.

"Your tears are precious please do not shed them." Wuza pleaded. He was sorry for asking such a question which made her cry. "You should check whether her neck is alright." Qiao finally interrupted. He himself wanted to check and make sure that she was not hurt however it would not go well for her own good. He knew that he was under constant eyes of the wicked hunter and he cannot show weakness or weak point for the wicked hunter to get benefit from it. The enmity was limitless and only the bloodshed could wipe it out till then Qiao would show his neutral side.

"I" Wuza saw brother hunter got back to reading the map. After he looked at the huntress yet she did not show any reaction; it made him speechless. Now he was walking like a dead log not speaking anything. He was too shy to ask the huntress and touch her neck. Lowa went through some vile and despicable experience. Her chest tightened when she remembered and her emotional condition was not stable yet. She wanted to hug her mother and cry for several days and here she was hiding her turmoil in front of two hunters.

Qiao was gripping the corners of the map tightly; he wanted to comfort her or say something that could console her situation nevertheless his decision was unmoving. He has to maintain his composure as well as act neutral. "We are moving toward the thin boundary line; Wuza if you spot any monster halt the journey and we'll hunt it for you." He ordered Wuza grimly sneaking toward the huntress. Wuza nodded. He was feeling extreme fatigue and badly needed some chuck of blood. He was no more actively observing surrounding like a crane because it need him some strength first.

Qiao only voiced this to look at the girl as for the hunt he could see that the blood hunter was slowing down so he himself would actively search the hunt. Lowa was walking silently trying her best to not bring the emotional turmoil on her face. Now it was more than necessary for Qiao to search the hunt so that blood hunter imbibe blood and later endlessly talk with the girl about various random things. It would help her forget her experience or at least feel better. If they crossed the boundary then they cannot tell what was awaiting them in the Angry Dales so Qiao thought to halt the journey and actively look for the monster.

The sky was not overcrowded with the clouds. The weather was clear only the cold was there and the occasional snow. Qiao was not wearing his upper fleece; it was with Lowa so his thin cover was unable to completely hide his body shape which was perfectly built. It also revealed the small packing's which hung on his back. His university bag with few belongings. Inside this bag all the stones and spoils which he had earned were placed safely.

He handed the map to the blood hunter and went to search the monster with shapeless weapon in his hand. "I should not move further." Wuza spoke; his head was going numb because of extreme fatigue. Lowa heard his fallen tone and immediately supported. Qiao was not here and the blood hunter was not well from the looks. She had to care those who were always beside her. "Sit here Wuza and don't worry. The hunter would definitely bring your meal." She slightly patted his shoulder and spoke softly. She forgot her turmoil when she saw that the blood hunter might collapse of the ground.

She supported him to sit on the small rock and stood beside him. Her eyes started searching Qiao and soon spotted him much away from them. Qiao was hunting a monster alone. Lowa kept looking him from the distance. She cannot describe how she was feeling other than that the hunter saved her. "Lowa my siblings are all male however if I had had a female sibling I wish she had been like you." Wuza spoke in much weak voice. His words brought Lowa back from her thoughts.

"We will talk about it once you imbibe some blood." She politely said. She could see that the monster was injured and now the hunter was dragging it toward them. Lowa was the only child of her mother and according to her mother; her father got lost during a mission. He never returned and also the Hightown has no record or reports about him. They always hoped that perhaps one day he could return back however with the time passing their hopes died down. Many years passed and they probably accepted the fate. If he had been alive he would have returned hence it only notion something concrete.

Qiao dragged the monster near and Lowa supported the blood hunter and they walked. Wuza reached the injured monster and imbibed the blood to his fill. Later he filled his leather storage bag. "It was timely brother hunter; I am better now." He lively spoke and Qiao nodded. His liveliness was the sign that he was better now. "You should put the last attack for experience points." Qiao told Lowa. She lost her both weapons looking at him how she should attack. "Your dagger is in the fleece." Saying this Qiao turned around and got busy observing the path for their journey.

Lowa was shocked; the dagger was indeed inside the fleece; she thought that perhaps she lost her dagger too just like the sword but thanks to the hunter. At least the only belonging which was given by her mother was saved too. She held her tears and stepped ahead. Lowa stabbed the dagger in the monster several times until it was dead. "Let's move now." Qiao voiced to remind them that they were supposed to start the journey again. "I think you would never wish to have a weak female sibling." Lowa walked over and answered Wuza about his previous words.

Wuza got stunned for some time and then spoke, "But you are stronger in my eyes in fact I am much impressed how this timid girl has the guts to choose a lone journey of hunting." He chuckled lightly. "Timid? Who did you call timid. I will become stronger definitely." Lowa spoke resolute then looked at the hunter walking ahead of them. "Now this is like the huntress whom I met the first time." Wuza laughed out loud. He was no more curious in fact if he was given chance he would burn all the hidden creatures who dared to harm her. "You are my little Lowa; I wish my blood mother meet you and see that I have a female sibling now." Wuza was very happy. After going through thick and thin he was learning how the world was presenting various aspects of living and there were many people who initially seemed hot tongued however their hearts were as clean as the fresh stream water.

"Are you sure your blood mother won't beat you up?" Lowa rolled her eyes. The blood hunter was sincerely speaking and she could tell his pure intentions yet she wanted to scare him.
