My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World

Chapter 181

181 Murderer!

(Jane’s PoV)

Blood. Blood everywhere.

All I could see was blood.

Where am I? This question appeared in my mind. The place was so dark, no, rather than saying it was dark, it was actually black. The only colors that appeared in my vision were black, red, and white. It was like an endless nightmare, brought me back to when I saw Senior Rizal was killed.

He was bathed in his own blood with a hole in his chest. His heart was pierced by a soft looking hand, yet so sharp to be able to penetrate the body. Blood kept flowing to the floor and reached my feet to where I was standing.

No, it was not right. At that time, his blood wasn’t as much as this. Something was not right. Where did all this blood come from?

A cry filled with terror made me looked up to where the source was. Out of nowhere, I saw some people were being chased by something. Far behind these people was a man who emitted a strong cold aura that I was almost sure this man was an iceberg. His murderous intent was so strong that I couldn’t help but feel affected by it. He was walking calmly but his every step created a tremor and terror. He looked overbearing and terrifying. Too bad I couldn’t see his face clearly.

The one that was chasing the people was a creese. It was flying and emitted a faint glow of yellow light. Anyone could tell that the man was controlling the creese. However, what I couldn’t understand was, usually something with yellow light was not evil, but why was this creese murdering people like that?

Yellow, gold, white, blue, green, and orange were warm lights where it represented a good mystic weapon that was made for goodness. Its main trait was for defense. But, why was this one used to kill people? What happened here exactly?

.....

That group of people was consisted of two adult women, two adult men, two young boys around 14 and 8 years old, and a young girl around 10 years old. They were all running in fright, but in the end, no one could survive as the creese took their lives one by one.

This scene was strangely familiar to me. Where did I see it?

I watched as the creese flew back into his hands. The faint yellow glow finally lit up his face and my eyes widened in shock as I saw that man’s face.

How-how could it be? Why did my father look like a cold-blooded killer?

My breath got caught in my throat that I had a hard time to breathe. I refused to believe that my father was the one who killed those people, even those children, without batting an eyelid. He even didn’t look remorse after all he did. There was no trace of emotion in his eyes, as if what he did was a just.

I didn’t know that man. I didn’t know him. He was not my father.

Those adults... I didn’t know, but maybe they committed something bad. After all, I did kill someone before. But, those children... what did they do? How could he kill them?

No, that was not my father. My father wouldn’t be that heartless.

However, that was not the end.

The creese made a slurping sound and the blood that was sticking on it was sucked clean. The faint yellow glow changed into glaring red for a while before it was back to the yellow glow.

I was shocked. As far as I knew about mystic weapon from what Siji taught me, I had never heard about a mystic weapon having two lights; defensive and offensive. Red, it meant it was undeniably blood-thirsty, a mystic weapon that was meant to kill.

“Murderer!” A shout was heard and I turned my head towards the source of the shout.

It was the old man. Now I knew where I had seen this scene. It was from the old man’s memory. The one that I had denied over and over after I had seen it. Despite those denials I made inside my mind, I couldn’t shake the shock I was feeling. It was too intense.

Imagine the one you hold dear in your heart, the heroic figure who could always save your day, the warmest and safest place you can always turn to, the strength you need in your life, turns out to be a cold-blooded killer who murdered kids.

It was like my whole life was a joke, a lie. I didn’t know who I could trust. With the way I saw my father in that old man’s memory, I was afraid that one day I would face my own father’s blood thirstiness.

It shook me so hard that I didn’t continue seeing the rest of his memory after I heard him calling my father a murderer. I didn’t even remember what happened after I took that old man’s ability. Yes, I didn’t kill him since I felt guilty for what my father did. Even so, there was this strange feeling gnawing my heart ever since I saw his memory.

But, why did I see this memory again? I thought I had left the old man. Then, why was I seeing it again?

The scene in front of me stopped where I heard him shouting murderer. Then, it was dark. I couldn’t see the trace of blood anymore. Even my erratic breathing was turning normal. But, this darkness was weird. I had never been afraid of dark, but this time, it made me uneasy. It was as if something was ready to jump on me from the dark.

It felt like I was being watched.

My eyes darted from one side to another side. Somehow I felt like there was something moving in the dark. I didn’t detect any malicious intent, but still it made me uneasy since I couldn’t detect any good intention either.

“Who’s there?” I asked cautiously.

This time, my eyes caught a flash of something in the dark. It was clearer and I was sure there was really something in the dark. My body went full alert as my eyes watched the thing moving in the dark carefully.

Woosh!

Something came onto me and my body moved automatically before my brain could process. Dodging the attack slightly, my hand grabbed whatever that came onto me tight. But, before I could properly see what thing that attacked me, another hand came to my neck.

Ugh!
