Chapter 2166 The Trickster's Loss
Suffice it to say, the Celestial Trickster was in no condition or in no way able to defeat Peppers. He was pulled out of the dungeon instance in the aftermath and found that he was in a splendid interior. Simple but posh enough to show the grandeur of the huge hall.
As he turned around to see and understand what was happening, he found out that the remaining Dashavatara were sitting around him as if waiting for him to come back to his senses. Not only that, he also noticed the enemy's Rifle Mages were all pointing their guns at him, waiting for him to make a wrong move so that they could scratch that itch to make sure he bites a bullet down.
However, their patience and tolerance were wearing thin especially for a trickster like him. Perhaps, they saw something in him that was similar to Kraft and wanted to take subconsciously wanted to take care of Krishna? A twisted view but no one truly knows.
"Are you done venting your anger already?" Kalki asked as Krishna felt that she was going to be the one chairing this meeting now that the Celestial Trickster had been defeated. He thought he was going to die but he realised that despite the pains all around his body, the trickster still had his body intact.
"Yes...somewhat." Krishna had his head down as he replied back to Kalki, knowing that he was going to get scolded for the ruckus he made, and how immature he was at the situation despite knowing that the two sides had done up a ceasefire agreement. However, he still felt that his outrage was justified. How could the humans be forgiven for killing his brother and his friends?
"That's good to hear. I thought you have to go through that awfully painful resurrection that I went through as well." Balarama replied and that was where Krishna looked up to turn his head to where the voice was. Even Kurma, his dear friend, was still alive and kicking.
There was no way they could have been resurrected this quickly but Krishna being a trickster with a unique caliber of his own could discern they were the real deal, not a fake, not an illusion. "How...?"
"They met the conditions of the ceasefire for us since we promised them collectively as the Dashavatara to aid them with their proposal." Matsya was massaging his eye sockets and temple since this would be a tough decision to make. It was then Matsya explained whatever he could to Krishna since Kalki did not wish to repeat it twice.
It was only when Matysa missed out on some vital information, Kalki interjected.
Otherwise, he continued his 'lecture' until Krishna understood what was exactly going on. "I see, then it seems like I truly jumped the gun for this situation." Krishna then turned towards Jin and reluctantly apologised in the most formal of way he could think of.
Yet, Jin did not care much and merely nodded his head. "Right, now that this is officially out of our way, let's talk numbers to make sure that things will be going through with the contract."
"We will need some time to convince the rest to open up the Hindu Pantheon for you to operate but if you are running short of time... I can ask the Chinese Pantheon for a favour to get it running first. Besides they did owe me some debts that they need to repay and they vowed to do whatever it takes to do so." Kalki said and Jin's eyes lit up.
He was not expecting this at all. To have favour with the Chinese Pantheon means that he will have access to one of the largest Pantheons in the Celestial Plane. There are way too many gods and idols in the Chinese Pantheon that being able to expand in the Hindu and Chinese Celestials would definitely bring a big boom to his business.
However, that also means that the difficulty of pleasing them might be higher since there were so many gods and Celestials he needed to accommodate. But at the very least, Jin knows that with the Chinese Pantheon, he would be able to gain an economy of scale and possibly blessings for his dungeon supplier store if he was lucky.
Still, he controlled his expression and nodded at the future prospects that Kalki could possibly bring in. "Yes, that proposed alternative would also do and at the same time keep in line with our contract of opening a dungeon supplier store in half a year's of Earth's time," Jin replied and Kalki nodded her head slowly.
The Dashavatara excluding Krishna knew the stakes of it since if they were successful in helping Jin open a store, they would not only have their lives intact from this current situation they are in, but also a lump sum of dungeon dollars which they could use to convert to their Celestial Currency.
It's not much after the conversion but it would be a sufficient amount for the effort they put in while recouping some losses from this battle.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
It was quite a worthwhile trade and something that Jin was willing to lose short term (Or should we say invest in short term), in order to open a store in the Celestial Planes. If this was possible, Jin would be able to get the most superior currency that could be exchanged for dungeon dollars in the long run.
Of course, to be frank, this idea was not conceived until Jin thought about it midway into the battle against the Celestials. He might already have felt the 'vengeance' part over once he saw he wielded superiority against the Celestials and there it was, a moment of clarity which prompted him to check with the System for its feasibility.
Naturally, the System did explain the risks but it was worth the effort to ensure that he earns big bucks in the future. Not to mention, allies with the Celestials if things go very very well.
Of course, he knew that the Celestials were something akin to the big boss battle in terms of customer satisfaction so, if possible, he wanted to use the remaining half year to clear whatever nonsense he left withstanding before the opening of the Celestial Store.
Perhaps, he might even clear off some of the worlds that he went in previously, gain some experience, and maybe add a bit more processing power for the System.
Maybe consider getting another hundred or thousand or so minions under his command - "The System wished to recommend not to take any more minions under your command. Having the Kingdom of Ress under control is already straining the resources of the System." The System read Jin's thoughts and gave him a private telepathy message.
"However, if User were to allow the assimilation of Lord Vishnu into the System, things might be somewhat different. In fact, the System can create another direct clone for the purpose of Lord Vishnu's usual activities if needed but the System will use Lord Vishnu's strength as the System's own. This will increase the processing power tremendously up to nearly 75% working capacity."
"Eh... I will consider it. But what about all the AI I had created with the improvised smithing, won't they amount to something? They are at least EX-Rank, you know." Jin's thoughts wandered as he was seen pondering the discussion with the Dashavatara.
"Using AI from improvised smithing will no doubt increase processing speed by an additional 10%. Additional investments are needed in larger quantities but it is not viable. On the other hand, you are not using Lord Vishnu. Please do consider." The System noted and Jin said he would ponder over it.
For now, he will want to clear the deal.
