Chapter 94

C94 – Blackmailing

Jiang Hao wore a look of confusion as he rose to his feet, only to see Little Fat charging toward him with a short stick in hand, leading a pack of students behind him.

Relief washed over Jiang Hao when he recognized Little Fat. Little Fat, upon seeing Jiang Hao unscathed, skidded to a halt, his expression one of bewilderment.

The students trailing Little Fat were still in the dark about what had transpired and peppered him with urgent questions.

“Fatty, who are the five people you mentioned?”

“Master, are you okay?”

……

As they arrived and laid eyes on the composed and unharmed Jiang Hao, they each wore a look of embarrassment.

The one at the forefront was none other than Liu Biao, the sports team captain!

“Master, you’re not hurt, are you?”

Jiang Hao offered a reassuring smile and a nod.

Liu Biao scratched his head in discomfort.

“Fatty mentioned someone was picking on you!”

Suddenly, as if a lightbulb went off, Liu Biao whirled around to confront Little Fat.

“Damn it, Fatty, did you trick us? Look, Master is perfectly fine!”

At that moment, Little Fat gestured to the five individuals behind Jiang Hao, who were clutching their bellies in agony.

Shock registered on everyone’s faces.

“Master, what about them…?”

Liu Biao glanced around, his words faltering.

Jiang Hao maintained his cool demeanor.

“They claimed ignorance of what decency is, so I took it upon myself to enlighten them.”

Liu Biao inhaled sharply, a sense of dread creeping over him.

He was hit by the sudden recollection of a basketball game where he had foolishly contemplated confronting his master. He shuddered at the thought, grateful that his friends had intervened.

Liu Biao’s gaze returned to the five men writhing in pain on the ground behind Jiang Hao, realizing that could have been his fate.

His respect for Jiang Hao deepened. To think his master excelled not only academically and on the basketball court but in combat as well!

Little Fat snapped out of his daze, his face etched with regret.

“I’m so sorry, Brother Hao!”

“I tried to gather our classmates when I went back to the class, but that jerk, our class monitor Liu Xuan, blocked me!”

“He even threatened to report this to the teacher, who I’m sure will be here any minute!”

I had no choice—I suddenly thought of Liu Biao and the others, so I called them in for backup!”

Jiang Hao heard this and his brow furrowed.

“Liu Xuan?”

Seizing the moment, Liu Biao quickly stepped forward.

“Master, do you need my help?”

Jiang Hao looked up at Liu Biao, his gaze carrying a newfound respect, though he had no intention of stooping to use someone like the buffoon Liu Xuan.

Jiang Hao offered a smile to Liu Biao.

“No worries. Thanks for today. How about we have a friendly match tomorrow afternoon?”

Liu Biao’s face lit up with ecstatic joy.

“Really, Master?”

But his excitement was short-lived as embarrassment crept in.

“Um, Master, the truth is I wasn’t much help today…”

At that, Jiang Hao chuckled and gave Liu Biao a reassuring pat.

“Enough with the fussing! We need to head out before the teacher arrives and complicates things.”

Liu Biao caught on immediately.

“Yes, of course!”

“What about them?”

Little Fat interjected suddenly.

Jiang Hao glanced back, causing the five to flinch in a panic.

Seeing their cowardly state, Jiang Hao turned back and declared.

“Let’s move on. No need to worry about them. I’ve got it under control. They’ll be fine after some rest.”

“Alright, let’s head out!”

With that, Jiang Hao led everyone swiftly back to the classroom.
