Paragon of Death

Chapter 135

135 Chapter 134: You have lost!

The massive sun began descending but Damon stood like an immovable mountain, gazing at the descending sun with a cruel smile on his face. His claws explode with darkish green energy as he prepares to trade damage with the Sun cosmic spirit host but then he heard the screams below.

Numerous citizens and humans cried as the scorching sun got closer with every second wasted.

Hmph!

Damon ignored them as he prepared to attack. In his opinion, these people were just casualties and they are none of his business. Should he miss this opportunity to kill Kaido, the next battle they will have will most likely be in a more populated area and even more, people will die.

Killing him now will definitely deal a major blow to all the races on the continent. Damon was ready to sacrifice the lives of a few to save many but then his eyes dilated. Far from their location, from what seemed like an entrance to a cave was a bright blue and golden aura, shielding four people from the intense heat but with a glance, he could already tell they weren’t doing too well.

From such a distance, one may not be able to notice these people but his sensitivity towards these people’s aura has always been high. In fact, they were the real reason he came here.

“Guys...” Damon muttered with a hint of shock in his eyes but it faded just as quickly as it came.

“Are you willing to kill so many innocent people for the sake of your goal? You are human, do you have no sympathy?” Damon growled but Kaido revealed a cruel smile.

“Hahahaha! They are nobodies. Beings are meant to be sacrifices, no different from dogs! In this world, might makes right, if you care about them so much then offer me your head and I will spare their lives!” Kaido laughed loudly as he gripped the empty space and pulled violently and the massive sun began shooting down even faster.

.....

Compared to the massive sun, Damon and Kaido were like ants!

“This....” Damon frowned as his eyes flickered toward the direction of the fading blue and golden barrier.

How can their cultivation base be so low after so long?

If they were capable of resisting this attack, he wouldn’t have cared about taking it head on. With his immortal body, he had nothing to fear but unfortunately, this is not a gift he can share.

“Don’t you dare force my hands!” Damon growled furiously as he threw both hands into the air and darkness exploded from his body.

“WHERE THERE IS LIGHT THERE MUST BE SHADOW! THE BRIGHTER THE LIGHT, THE THICKER THE SHADOW! MY DARKNESS WILL SWALLOW YOUR LIGHT!” Damon bellowed as all the shadows in the world began rising into the air in the form of black liquids.

Everyone present could feel their shadows pulled away as they all shot into the sky.

Damon stood like an ancient deity in the center of the surging black whirlpool which promptly raced toward the sun. Like a sheet, the darkness began wrapping around the sun while decreasing its falling speed!

Bleegh!

Damon spat out a mouthful of blood as his face turned terribly pale while he kept trying to restrain the fake sun. His eyes were blood red and blood began flowing out of his eyes and ears, stunning everyone.

“Impossible...” Kaido muttered while gazing at what was happening...

If someone told him that there is a possibility that someone would be able to swallow his sun he wouldn’t have believed but seeing it now, he was just too dumbfounded to speak.

..........

“Damon!” Gin and Cyrus frowned.

The moment Damon looked in their direction and hesitated they noticed. They all knew Damon chose to stop the falling sun because of them. Even if Damon’s as immune to physical attacks. Exerting himself would leave him with serious internal injuries that can’t be healed easily.

“We need to go help him,” Klien said with a frown while Lucy was still quiet. The man she was seeing above in the skies was completely different from the one she remembered.

He was far more fierce and domineering, yet she felt safer with him like this and she even wanted him. Klien noticed her gaze but didn’t say a thing, he stepped forward and slit his wrist open, causing blood to pour.

He was about to create a barrier to help compliment the ones already up but then his eyes knitted together as he looked back.

Just like him, Gin and Cyrus had already turned around, looking at the exit where they came from and slowly two figures emerged.

Tristan Hail and Jean Hail!

Buzz!

The team turned pale as they all took a few steps back as the duo emerged from the cave with stern looks on their faces.

Their eyes were pinned on Gin and Cyrus, not even paying much attention to Klien and Lucy.

“Did you really think we didn’t anticipate this? Of course, this is the best time for you to escape and just as His majesty had predicted, you fled...” Tristan said with a cold tone as he walked forward without fear.

Jean followed him closely with her hateful eyes pinned on Cyrus and Gin.

Hehehe!

Gin and Cyrus stepped forward with slight smiles on their faces. Instead of worrying, they didn’t seem to care about the sudden development as if they already expected it.

“They moved faster than expected...” Gin said with a cruel smile.

“Yep... it’s a pity these two were so confident, they didn’t even bother bringing an army with them, if not how do they plan to deal with us?” Cyrus laughed slightly.

“You knew?” Jean frowned.

“Hmph! I am the host of the guardian spirit of Force and he is the host of the guardian spirit of life, I can sense the mana within your mana circuits and he can sense your life force. How could we not know?” Gin revealed a cruel smile.

“Oops! You revealed our secret... You are so careless” Cyrus chuckled.

“Ouch! Sorry, but they already knew. It was at the back of their minds but they just needed confirmation... since we are leaving already there is no reason to hide it” Gin used his large blue sleeves to cover half of his face while he shot Jean a charming glance.

It felt like he was trying to flirt with her even in this situation!

Hearing it Tristan and Jean frowned. These two were only at the peak of the warrior realm just like her but Tristan was at the champion realm, do they really think they can handle him?

The gap between the warrior and the champion realm is not something that can be crossed easily!

“Impudent!” Tristan growled as he revealed his fangs and his yellow aura exploded!

The image of the mighty yellow wolf emerged!

Boom!

His aura sent a powerful shockwave swept past them but strangely the four remained standing. Their eyebrows were raised slightly as they gazed at Tristan as if they were looking at a fool.

“Impudent?” Gin’s voice suddenly turned stern and cold.

“You are going against two guardian spirit hosts. One blood mage who inherited incredible strength by sharing the same blood with the former death mage and a Basilisk! There are just two of you! If there is someone who is cocky here, it’s you” Gin hissed those words with disdain and hatred hidden deep within his heart!

His eyes slowly opened up, revealing bright blue light as his blue aura exploded, surging dangerously!

At this same time, Cyrus’ aura exploded as a pair of angelic golden wings appeared on his back, lifting him off the ground. The smell of blood suddenly surged everywhere as the red aura exploded from Klien’s body and at the same time a cruel green aura exploded from Lucy, taking the shape of a mighty green king cobra!

Seeing the true identities and power of the four of them even Tristan paled and a hint of fear could be seen in his eyes. He thought the major problem would be Gin and Cyrus, he never thought there would be two more formidable people amongst their ranks

His eye dilated as he saw the green scales emerging on the body of the lady and he frowned.

Wasn’t the Basilisk race extinct?

How can there be a survivor among them?

Her eyes turned cold as she gazed at the figure standing above all of them with a cruel look in his eyes. Even from a distance, he could feel a fierce gaze pinned on him, threatening to reap his head off if he made a move.

“Damon...” Tristan gasped with a pale face as he slowly began retreating with Jean behind him.

As a werewolf, his instincts have always been his most trusted ally and right now his instincts were screaming danger. He had this strong feeling that the moment he throws the first punch, he wouldn’t even know how he died.

“This is not over.... If you think Damon can protect you all, you must be naive!” Tristan growled as he had already reached the exit of the tunnel.

“Hmph! With two more hosts by his side, the world doesn’t stand a chance. You have lost!” Gin declared coldly.
