Chapter 85 Transcendence First Waitress
*Bang*
Suddenly, a flash of light engulfed the area, taking away everyone's vision.
"Ahh, my eyes."
"Who dares attack me!?"
"If you have the guts, don't use cheap tricks!"
After a few moments, everyone finally opened their eyes and looked around warily only to be shocked. At some point in time, while they were shocked, on the flat ground was now a beautiful silver kitchen that contained an oven, stovetop, cabinets, and utensils.
The kitchen had everything that a chef would require to make delicious dishes.
"Wow… It's an actual kitchen… Big Brother Lucian brought an actual kitchen with him," Lily muttered with a dazed expression.
Lucian smiled, "Of course, I brought a real kitchen. Did you expect me to cook on a campfire?"
Lily and everyone else unconsciously nodded. After all, who in their right mind would think Lucian carried an entire kitchen with him?
Lucian shrugged at their response. If they thought he was done after summoning a kitchen, then they were in for the shock of their lives.
With a thought, twenty elegant white and pink chairs with matching five, four-person tables appeared five feet in front of the kitchen.
The tables and chairs were neatly arranged, with more than enough room for customers and employees to move around.
Now Lucian's restaurant was complete and it was time to officially begin the plan — to rob the thousands of people gathered here of their Mana Stones.
*Clap*
After a moment, Lucian clapped his hands together attracting everyone's attention to him.
Once he sensed twenty pairs of eyes on him, Lucian said in a voice that was heard by them all, "Transcendence is open for business. Step right up and order."
However, no one stepped forward, they were all too shocked and speechless to move.
"It's… a restaurant!"
"I knew that handsome young man was a chef from his clothes, but to think he came here to cook food."
"What a genius! Even if his food isn't great, if the Mana Soul Realm experts can't open the Secret Realm, everyone will soon run out of food."
"We're Mages, if you're hungry just absorb Mana! Tch! Who cares about food?"
"Even then, food no matter how terrible it is, is still better than tasteless Mana."
While the spectators discussed fervently, someone finally moved — a black-robed, black-masked person with a bamboo hat on their head.
[Big Brother Lucian, although Lily doesn't know how to cook, Lily wants to help. Can Lily take orders and serve?] Lily asked hopefully with her eyes shining behind her mask.
Although Lucian could not see her expression because of the black mask blocking her loveable face, he could tell from her hopeful voice that she really wanted to help him.
[Sure, I don't mind. It will save me the effort of having to leave the kitchen to take orders and serve.] Lucian replied, instantly causing Lily's happiness to inwardly soar. If not for the fact her identity might be exposed she would have jumped and screamed for joy.
*Cough*
Lily loudly cleared her throat, breaking the silence.
*Swoosh*
Instantly, everyone's eyes turned to her, causing her body to tense up, but after a deep breath to calm her nerves, she said, "If you are hungry, please come and order. Big Brother Lucian's food is the best, and the prices are fair."
Even after hearing her words, the spectators and guards did not move from their positions.
They did not want to offend the Orchard Family.
With a shake of their heads, the spectators returned to their tents while a few of them watched from a respectful distance away.
When Lily saw them leaving, she sighed with her little head drooped.
[It's not your fault they left, Lily. They are worried about offending James.] Lucian's gentle voice sounded in her mind.
Lily nodded.
Meanwhile, after the spectators left, Garrett looked at Hervy, Lane, the twins, and Sir James with a smile.
"Let's go, my stomach can't wait any longer. Even though it's only been two days since I had Owner Lucian's food, it feels like an eternity." Garrett said with a lick of his lips before sitting at the closest table to the kitchen. Other than Lucian's delicious food, his way of cooking had reached a level where it could be described as an art.
Just as the others were about to sit down at the table they quickly realized a problem. The square table was meant for only four people, while there were five of them.
"Owner Lucian, do you mind if we place one of the chairs at the end of this table?" Garrett respectfully asked Lucian.
Lucian frowned, "No, the tables and chairs cannot be moved from their position. It will get in the way of customers and my temporary employee when she is trying to serve."
"Haah, Owner Lucian is quite the eccentric." Garrett sighed and glanced at the tables and quickly noticed they were intricately placed.
"We will-
sit together."
The twins said one after the other without even having to discuss it with each other.
After they all took their seats, including Fenwick, who was sulking at being forgotten again, Lily walked up to them and asked "What would you all like to order?"n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"Huh, why are you asking what we want? Isn't it obvious?" Hervy frowned at the waitress who seemed quite close to their captain. Although, he wondered what their relationship was, he was not stupid enough not to understand she wanted to keep her identity a secret.
"Did Senior create a new dish?" Lane asked her after elbowing Lane, causing him to grimace while massaging the side of his ribcage.
When Lily was asked about the new dish, she audibly gulped her saliva and nodded her head eagerly.
"Mm, Big Brother Lucian's new dish — Sous Vide Filet Mignon, is the best — it's the most tender, juicy, and delicious steak ever! I can still remember as it melted in my mouth without even chewing. The flavor was exquisite unlike I have ever tasted. And the best part of the dish are the crunchy red jewels that burst with a refreshing wine taste."
