In a flash of white light, Yaeger reappeared in the [City of Chaos], her arms laden with countless bags and her face glowing with satisfaction. It was clear she had thoroughly enjoyed shopping for clothes for her companions.
“Master!” Little Blue, Vera 17, and Vera 18 dashed over eagerly from nearby.
“There are three outfits for each style. Since all of you share the same measurements, you’ll each get one set per style. That way, no one gets left out,” Yaeger explained, placing the bags on the table with a smile.
“These are so pretty! Master, you’ve got such a good eye!” Little Blue exclaimed as she eagerly sorted through the clothes.
“That’s true! Not only are they gorgeous, but the materials are also top-notch,” Vera 17 added with an approving nod.
“I have to admit, Master really understands our tastes!” Vera 18 chimed in.
Vera 18 held up a Gothic-style black dress and showed it to Vera 17. Unsurprisingly, it looked like it would be a perfect fit. With her silver hair, porcelain skin, and petite frame, the black Gothic dress would complement Vera 17 perfectly.
Yaeger’s attention to detail didn’t stop there—she had also picked out matching black boots and accessories.
“Once I’ve cleaned them, you can try them on,” Yaeger said, emptying the bags onto the table to create a small mountain of clothes. She then unleashed her aura, beginning a meticulous deep-cleaning process. In no time, any factory smells lingering on the clothes were replaced with a subtle, pleasant fragrance. One small sniff was enough for them to recognize the scent—it was unmistakably their master’s.
“Wow, it smells amazing!” Little Blue exclaimed, taking a deep breath with a contented expression. Vera 17 and Vera 18 quickly followed suit, breathing in the scent with delighted smiles.
“Alright, that’s enough playing. Next—” Before she could finish her sentence, her phone buzzed in her hand. Curious, she glanced at the screen and saw it was a text from Pixie.
Pixie: Sob sob sob, Princess! I feel so awful. I’m so hurt~
Yaeger blinked in confusion as she read the message. From what Yaeger knew, Pixie was a resilient individual who faced challenges head-on. Hearing such dispirited words from her was highly unusual.
Yae-hime: What happened?
As soon as she sent her reply, the phone buzzed with another incoming message.
Pixie: Ugh, I feel so sad. I’m obviously the best candidate to rule over the Flame Dragons. But I… but I… sob sob sob…
Yae-hime: Did you reach Level 10?
Pixie: Yes. I was planning to come see you, but something terrifying hijacked my teleportation and dragged me away!
Pixie: And then I saw a giant red dragon!
Pixie: She told me I’m a rare pure-blooded member of the Flame Dragon Clan and asked if I wanted to learn their secret dragon-exclusive abilities!
Pixie: I was totally stunned! Didn’t she just say those abilities were exclusive to dragons?
Pixie: But that’s not even the point! Princess, I feel so awful. I need comfort—and hugs!
Yaeger stared at the lengthy message, momentarily rendered speechless.
Yae-hime: Didn’t I already explain Bloodlines to you? Also, you’re now the disciple of the Dragon Empress of the Flame Dragon Empire. What’s there to feel bad about?
Her phone buzzed with a quick reply.
Pixie: Uh… I only remembered that after I got kidnapped.
Pixie: Sob sob sob, Princess, I’m really upset.
Pixie: I’m supposed to be the Dragon Empress’s only disciple!
Pixie: But… but Rakshasa, who doesn’t even have a Draconic Bloodline, is a level higher than me! How does that make sense?
Pixie: She’s clearly younger, but I have to call her senior sister!
Yae-hime: What difference does it make?
Yaeger wasn’t surprised that Pixie had been sent to the Flame Dragon Empire—it had been inevitable ever since Pixie obtained the highest-grade Flame Dragon Bloodline.
Pixie: Sob sob sob, Princess, did you know? Rakshasa is now the Empress’ secret disciple, while I’m just her official disciple!
Yae-hime: Does that even matter?
Pixie: It does! She has more seniority than me!
Yae-hime: Rakshasa became her disciple first when she arrived at the Flame Dragon Empire. You came second, so of course your seniority is lower.
Pixie: But Rakshasa isn’t even a dragon!
Yae-hime: Then what is she?
Yaeger had previously instructed Rakshasa not to share any personal details about herself, including her race, with anyone else.
Pixie: I don’t know. The Empress only said she’s not a dragon, but something with a superior status.
Pixie: Sob sob sob, we’re in the same Guild, and I’ve always been like the big sister in the chat. But now, I have to call little Rakshasa my senior sister…
Pixie: Ah, it’s so humiliating!
Yae-hime: You’ll just have to get used to it.
Pixie: Princess, I need comfort, hugs, and… for you to warm my bed… No, that was a typo!
‘That’s not a typo. You wrote that on purpose!’ Yaeger thought, her eyelid twitching as she read the message.
Yae-hime: I’ll give you a beauty facial when you’re free. Consider that your consolation prize.
Pixie: A facial? Princess, you know how to do facials too?
Yae-hime: A little.
Pixie: Of course! I’ll be waiting! Ah, I suddenly feel so much better now~
Yae-hime: I’ll visit you at the hotel when I have time. I’ve got some things to handle now. Talk later.
Pixie: Mm-hmm. Good night, Princess~
“Her mood flipped way too fast,” Yaeger muttered, shaking her head as she put her phone away.
“Master, we’re done changing!” the three of them announced in perfect unison.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
Turning to look, Yaeger saw Little Blue, Vera 17, and Vera 18 dressed in matching Gothic black dresses, long black boots, and delicate black roses perched atop their heads.
“You look absolutely adorable,” Yaeger said sincerely. Not only were they irresistibly cute, but their outfits gave them an air of enchanting mystery.
Vera 17 and Vera 18, with their silver hair, blue eyes, and pale skin, looked like ethereal beauties straight out of an animated film. Dressed in their Gothic outfits, they appeared utterly otherworldly.
Little Blue, on the other hand, had shimmering blue hair and striking golden eyes. Her pale skin occasionally sparkled with a faint blue hue, making her a mesmerizing sight to behold.
Regardless of their differences, all three were undeniably adorable.
“Hehe, I’m super cute!” Little Blue giggled as she floated into the air, spinning gracefully and scattering shimmering blue light like a twirling fairy.
“Yes, very cute,” Vera 17 and Vera 18 said in unison, exchanging a glance.
“You’re all absolutely adorable,” Yaeger said, taking in their cuteness before shifting the topic. “Alright, next up—setting up the kitchen.”
“Alright!” The three of them raised their hands enthusiastically, responding in perfect harmony.
They immediately got to work, and after an hour of effort, the kitchen was fully set up.
“Master, Master! I’ve uploaded tons of recipes and cooking techniques into this human puppet. I’m sure she’ll be able to cook plenty of delicious food!” Little Blue said cheerfully, puffing out her flat chest with pride.
“Good job. Little Blue, you’re amazing,” Yaeger said as she patted her head. Little Blue’s eyes squinted in delight, savoring the affectionate gesture. After all her years of existence, Little Blue finally understood how wonderful it felt to receive genuine affection.
‘I can’t believe I wasted all those years missing out on this,’ she thought with a hint of regret.
“Why don’t we test her cooking skills now?” Yaeger said, withdrawing her hand and glancing at the intricately designed, feminine-looking puppet.
“Of course! Chef Number One, prepare some food for us immediately!” Little Blue commanded, pointing dramatically at the puppet.
The puppet nodded silently and promptly began its task. The entire process went smoothly and efficiently, making it hard to believe that the puppet had been nothing more than a janitor just days ago.
Twenty minutes later, everyone gathered around the table to enjoy the plentiful feast the puppet had prepared.
However…
“Waaagh! My throat burns!”
“Ugh, poison! This is deadly poison!”
The moment Vera 17 and Vera 18 took a bite, they nearly collapsed from what felt like an intense bout of food poisoning. It was painfully clear that the meal was an absolute disaster.
