Returnee’s Life Report

Chapter 90

90 Two Shooters (3)

Lee Ho used two ways to fight.

One was relying on his physical ability, and the other was using his unique skills. But Lee Ho always stood at the front.

No person with him ever died. He always killed his enemies before they harmed his allies.

Lee Ho had learned a lot of martial arts..

That was how he had become the fastest man in the world.

Unlike his title as a spell-caster, he was an expert in combat.

Yet, even Lee Ho was losing to the Godfather now.

If he made a single attack, the Godfather attacked twice.

They continued to attack each other.

The Godfather’s punch was coming toward him. Lee Ho bent his body to dodge it, but the Godfather was faster. His blade cut into Ho’s side. Ho groaned, but he had no time to complain.

The consecutive attack was coming. With his dagger, Ho countered it. It was a chance for the Godfather. Ho summoned Bashum from China’s gate. Two horns were shining bright. But they were blocked.

The Godfather’s sword blocked the horns.

Meanwhile, Ho was rotating his body. Two events then happened consecutively.

He returned Bashum quickly. Unlike the Demon King, Ho would not let his summoned creature die. Then he kicked the Godfather in the chest.

The Godfather was moved backward.

He was bleeding. Despite that, he rushed back.

To be honest, Lee Ho was learning how to use his ability more efficiently. Even now, Ho was getting stronger.

[ Your skill ‘Martial Art of the Heavenly Devil’ is activated. ]

The life energy he’d had to use for his unique ability was restored.

Lee Ho was desperate; it was undeniable that he was the one taking more damage.

It would be easy if he summoned his brother, just like he had in China. But this was a place to prove that he was not the child he used to be.

He was proving to his brother that he could handle his own problems.

He didn’t want to be a burden to his brother.

Lee Hwan once told him that, “The path you walk is the correct path.”

What was that supposed to mean?

The skill Lee Hwan had taught him was not simple; it could absorb nature’s power and turn it into life energy.

Lee Ho had used it to recover. But what if that was just the beginning?

Magic and his unique ability were fundamentally different. Lee Hwan had told him that this was some sort of divine power.

Hwan showed his black aura a lot. That was like a unique skill. While using that, Hwan was invincible.

What if this skill was to use divine power?

‘What if I’m using only a partial aspect of the skill?’

The path he was walking was the correct path.

‘What if I use my life energy like an aura?’ Ho decided to remove all the aura inside his body and then filled it with his life energy.

That was evolution. Lee Ho got stronger.

As he emptied his aura, the Godfather frowned. ‘What is he doing? Did he give up?’

[You learned the true power of ‘Martial Art of the Heavenly Devil.’ ]

[ You unlocked your title as ‘Heir of the Heavenly Devil.’ ]

[The Heavenly Devil, the greatest in Moorim, did not leave his techniques to his descendants, but instead left it as a legend.]

[ You are now the second person to learn this. ]

[ You learned the skill ‘Unbreakable.’ ]

Lee Hwan had told him that he made this with Yeo-Hwa.

He would read the system’s words later. It was more important to deal with the fight now. Ho grabbed the Godfather’s attack and exerted pressure.

The Godfather clenched his teeth. He could not understand what was happening.

Both felt that they had equal power, and one move would determine the result. One of them would die.

The two men, with their weapons in their hands, charged.

Lee Ho was a bit faster.

The Godfather had kept his ability since it had a side effect. That was why he was astonished.

Lee Ho had equal power with the Godfather. He had used his unique ability, but despite that, Lee Ho matched him.

But then someone else appeared. It was Alan.

He had been hiding at the back. When he had a chance, he attacked Ho.

However, there was someone who could see everything from the back.

***

Kim Yoo-Jeong felt that time was passing slowly as she aimed down. She was thinking carefully. ‘Who should I target?’

If she shot the Godfather, then she could cause damage to him. It would eventually kill him.

For Kim Yoo-Jeong, this was her best opportunity.

But that would hurt Ho as well. Alan Bermandi had the power to do so.

If Alan attacked Lee Ho, he would cause serious injury. Even death if the attack were critical.

She had only one chance. She was planning to kill the Godfather.

But that was not right. She clenched her teeth and changed target. She pulled the trigger.

***

It happened quickly. Ho and the Godfather were ready for the last attack. Ho knew that Alan

was attacking him, but he chose to continue attacking the Godfather. The fact was, Alan couldn’t kill him. So he chose to deal with Alan later.

That was the moment when he heard the gunshot.

Alan had been shot to death. The Godfather’s hands were shaking. That bullet had influenced the Godfather’s attack as well. This was a chance.

Ho did not let that opportunity slip. He successfully stabbed the Godfather, and the Godfather fell.

He could see the shooter from a distance; it was Yoo-Jeong. She was showing mixed emotions.

She had made a choice.

Lee Ho sat down with relief. The fight was over.

The Godfather coughed. He was still alive, but he was bleeding.

The dagger Ho had was broken. However, that did not matter much.

The Godfather called to him.

“Lee Ho. Before my life ends, I would like to ask…”

His voice was clear.

“What do you think of my dream? Conquering the world? Will you answer?”

“Are those your last words?”

“Yes. They are. So answer me. What do you think of my childish dream?”

“Everyone has their desires. I don’t want to judge other’s dreams, but…”

“But?”

“I can tell you my personal opinion.”

“Go on.”

“Personally, I think it’s not that bad.”

The Godfather laughed.

“How do you feel now? Are you relieved?”

“Yes.”

“Is your hand shaking now? Are you happy about it?”

“Yes.”

“Alright. Before I go, I want to ask something. Think carefully.”

Think what?

“Is that shaking because of me? Or is it because the biggest obstacle to your dream is gone?”

Lee Ho looked down. There was no need to have a conversation.

Soon, four people came.

Lee Hwan, Yoo-Jeong, Raul, and Sophie. Kim Yoo-Jeong was holding a pistol.

She looked at the Godfather. His eyes were filled with surprise. He remembered her.

“Kim Yoo-Jeong… The mass teleporter… The kid who was hiding in the attic has grown up well.”

“…”

“You were the one who killed Alan? I thought that you were D-rated. How surprising.”

Kim Yoo-Jeong glanced at the Godfather and asked, “Do you remember Kim Hyeok-Jae?”

“…I remember. He was your father.”

“Why did you kill him? Were you looking for his skill stone?”

The Godfather smiled. Then he coughed and took a harsh breath.

“I still remember him. He lured me with his skill stone. He was a hunter who was trying to hunt me down. He was a talented man. I tried to persuade him, but he did not join me. So I killed him.”

That was the truth that Yoo-Jeong had wanted to know.

Yoo-Jeong then pointed the pistol at his head. He was like an ordinary person now. A single shot could easily kill him.

He laughed.

“…What a twisted joke.”

The Godfather sighed. He gave up, and Yoo-Jeong confronted that.

It was ironic. This time, she was the one shooting at the Godfather’s head. Just like what the Godfather had done to her parents, Yoo-Jeong was about to do the same. She pulled the trigger.

And with that, the Godfather was dead.
