Senior Sister, Shut Up!

Chapter 133.2: What Will Senior Sister Do in the Future?

“Nice job, Brother Jiang.” Smiling, Xun Liang bumped his shoulder against Jiang Miao’s. “I didn’t expect you to be hiding such skills. You’ve kept it from me for so long.”

“Get going.” Jiang Miao rolled his eyes at him, slightly out of breath. He placed his hands on his hips and said, “Attack quickly. I can only keep this up for a quarter before going back to slacking off.”

“A quarter is fine. That should give us enough of a lead,” Xun Liang said. It was already good enough for Jiang Miao to exert his strength, and he didn’t expect more. But he still narrowed his eyes and teased softly, “Brother Jiang, with your stamina, what are you going to do if you can’t satisfy Senior Sister in the future?”

“Get away from me.” Jiang Miao pushed him away angrily and moved back to prepare for defense, not wanting to lower himself to this guy’s level.

In the stands, Ding Ning clenched her fists, her eyes shining when she saw Jiang Miao score. She shook Senior Sister’s arm. “Senior Sister, Jiang Miao is so amazing!”

“Yeah.” Su Huaizhou felt the same way, but she had to keep her composure in front of her junior sister. “He’s okay. It’s a normal performance.”

“But he scored both times. That’s really impressive,” Ding Ning continued to praise.

Su Huaizhou nodded with satisfaction, feeling as if Ding Ning was not praising Jiang Miao but her.

“Watch the game.” Chen Haoshang placed his hand on Ding Ning’s head and steered it back to the court.

Only then did Ding Ning return to her senses. She carefully grabbed Chen Haoshang’s arm and whispered, “Haoshang, you’re great too. If you got on the court, the opponent would definitely lose badly.”

Chen Haoshang turned his head without replying. He only picked up her two small hands and placed them back on her knees. Once his expression returned to its usual calm, he looked at her again.

She understood him the best. She knew that although he looked indifferent, he was actually thin-skinned and would feel shy with just a bit of praise.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Seeing that he wasn’t really jealous, she felt relieved and settled in her seat obediently to continue watching the game.

She only subtly scooted over so that her shoulder touched his arm.

The financial management team had the ball and attacked again.

More than half of the first quarter’s ten minutes quickly passed, with both sides exchanging blows.

Thanks to Jiang Miao cooperating with Brother Monkey for quick plays, the accounting team kept scoring, pushing the score to 12-6.

Although the opposing team’s Number 2 was guarding Jiang Miao tightly, the skill gap was evident, and Jiang Miao and Brother Monkey still scored through coordinated plays.

After all, although they were both slackers, Jiang Miao was one by choice and possessed decent skills. In contrast, Number 2 was truly outmatched and could only run around the court, sweating profusely while trying to keep up with Jiang Miao.

His intestines were turning green with regret now. He only wanted to slap himself. Out of all the choices, why did he have to pick Jiang Miao to defend?

Fortunately for him, Jiang Miao’s stamina was relatively poor. After seven or eight minutes, he was already gasping for breath.

With his chest and throat feeling dry and hot, he attempted another fast break but missed the shot. Only after Brother Monkey’s follow-up did they secure two points.

Jiang Miao supported himself on his knees, panting under the basket. Sweat dripped down his forehead, trailing down his face and soaking into the collar of his jersey. He gasped for air, feeling as if weights were attached to his legs.

Ever since he began writing web novels in high school, he rarely exercised anymore.

After all, physical education wasn’t part of the college entrance examination, and the school didn’t place much importance on physical fitness, so Jiang Miao had stopped exercising much since high school.

Although he didn’t gain much weight, his stamina was indeed worsening every year.

In middle school, he could run a 1,000-meter race in less than 3 minutes and 20 seconds and was even full of energy after finishing.

Now, running 1,000 meters in 4 minutes seemed unlikely.

After finishing the first ten-minute quarter, he would probably have to go back to slacking.

However, the girls in the stands didn’t notice Jiang Miao’s exhaustion. When they saw their team score again, bringing the score to 16-6, they erupted into cheers.

The bolder ones imitated what Senior Sister had done earlier and shouted Jiang Miao’s name.

He couldn’t pretend he didn’t hear his name being called. He straightened up and waved to the stands.

Then he saw Senior Sister pouting in jealousy. He laughed awkwardly and lowered his hand.

“Damn it, I was the one who scored,” Brother Monkey complained. “Why isn’t anyone shouting my name?”

“Brother Monkey.” Xun Liang put an arm around his shoulder and pointed at Jiang Miao’s face. “Let’s not think too much about it. There’s an inherent gap between us and him. It’s pointless to complain about it, so let’s not get worked up.”

“Get lost.” Brother Monkey pushed Xun Liang away. “You’re not a good person either. You change girlfriends like changing clothes, and each one is prettier than the last.”

“?” Xun Liang’s head was full of question marks, then he shouted in protest, “That’s my sister!”

“Fuck!” Brother Monkey’s defense was broken. “You dog, are you into that kind of thing?!”

Xun Liang: “???”

Being misunderstood by Brother Monkey, he almost spat out blood.

Jiang Miao stifled his laughter, relishing in the sight of their mutual suffering.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Cao Ling and Zhang Yuliang were strategizing with their three teammates.

“Number 12 is running out of steam.” Cao Ling was no longer as carefree and cocksure as before. He stared at the opposing Number 12 and said, “His stamina isn’t good. Continue keeping an eye on him. You’ve seen how his speed has decreased in the last couple of plays.”

“Okay.” Number 2 nodded. He was also panting, but his condition was slightly better than Jiang Miao’s.

As Jiang Miao’s stamina dwindled, Number 2 found it noticeably easier to guard him.

If this continued, he should be able to contain him.

“Let’s not rush in the first quarter. Cao Ling, focus on conserving your energy,” Zhang Yuliang advised, glancing at Xun Liang and Brother Monkey opposite him. “I’m about even with Number 8. The breakthrough will come from you. Once Number 12 can’t take it anymore, we’ll take the game back in the next quarter.”

“Got it.” Cao Ling nodded, his expression a little ugly.

He loved to be in the limelight but hated making a fool of himself.

With the score trailing by so much, he felt the weight of his classmates’ gazes on him as he walked on the court, making him feel uncomfortable all over.

“That boy on the other team is really impressive.”

In the stands, some girls from the financial management side were whispering, their eyes entirely on Jiang Miao instead of Cao Ling.

The girls didn’t understand the finer points of basketball. All they saw was a player scoring with flashy and skillful moves. Coupled with his good-looking face, it made him all the more appealing.

At this moment, Jiang Miao became the center of attention. In a university like the School of Business, where girls accounted for 70% to 80% of the student body, there were probably hundreds of girls staring at him across the entire basketball court.

Especially when he lifted his jersey to wipe his sweat, the girls stole glances at his abdomen, wishing they could sit a little lower to get a better view.

“Uh-oh, I think you’ve fallen for him,” one of the girls on the accounting side remarked teasingly.

“No way~”

“You were just looking at Jiang Miao without even blinking.”

“I’m just feeling tense about the game.”

“Tense from watching him lift his jersey?”

“Didn’t you look too?!”

“I only looked because I saw you looking!”

The playful banter from the girls in the back rows reached Su Huaizhou’s ears, causing her to clench her fists subconsciously.

So annoying!

How could Junior Brother casually lift his jersey like that?!

He should belong to her alone, but now it felt like she was sharing him with others.

It made Su Huaizhou very uncomfortable and sour in her heart.

After the first quarter ended, she would definitely have a word with Junior Brother to make sure he didn’t give other girls a chance to take advantage of him.

At this moment, both sides resumed their back-and-forth on the court.

The score was now 18-8.

The financial management team initiated their attack, while the accounting team fell back to defense. Under the man-to-man coverage, Cao Ling found it difficult to break through.

Ultimately, he was forced back to the baseline by Brother Monkey and forced to take a jump shot that bounced off the rim and flew out.

Seeing there were only ten seconds left in the first quarter, Jiang Miao rushed to grab the ball as it flew out and raced towards the opposite basket.

Number 2 had been closely guarding him. Seeing Jiang Miao making a fast break, he immediately chased after him.

Brother Monkey and Cao Ling were unable to catch up after a long sequence of offense and defense.

This time, it became Jiang Miao’s solo fast break.

He initially thought that he would be able to score smoothly again.

But he quickly realized just how drained he was. As he dribbled and sprinted, his legs felt as if they were filled with lead, and his arms were weighed down with fatigue.

Fortunately, he had managed to persevere to within the three-point line. He used his momentum to leap for a three-step layup.

But at this moment, Number 2, who had been chasing after him, had already jumped, eager to block Jiang Miao’s shot.

Bang!

The two figures collided in midair.

Then they fell both to the floor and slid a meter or two in opposite directions.

The ball had already left Jiang Miao’s hand before the impact. It bounced lightly on the backboard, collided with the rim several times, and finally rolled into the net.

Snap!

Thump! Thump!

Thump, thump, thump!

The basketball bounced on the floor, its sound quickening, until it rolled to a stop beside Jiang Miao, who was half-lying on the floor.

The entire venue fell silent for a moment.

“Jiang Miao!!!”

One figure reacted faster than everyone and jumped down from the stands.
