Chapter 1490: Azure Ruling World and Spirit Frost World Pt.4
What Shang Xia didn’t know was that after exiting the Heaven Observation Field, Yan Ming and Xin Lu seemed to have received some enlightenment in their arts of stargazing. Their rapid rise in their strength made them more confident.
When Song Zhen and the others were rushing to the Solitary Star Region, Xin Lu’s task of finding the other world through the half-destroyed spatial tunnel was reaching an end.
In the final few days of her deduction, the suspected Stargazer on the other side had been trying to interfere with her calculations.
However, it was just as she said. The Stargazer on the other side suffered a massive backlash and only had a skill or two. After Xin Lu determined what the other side could do, she easily went around it.
By the time the other Stargazer figured it out, Xin Lu already had a better idea of where their world was.
When Shang Xia was protecting Xin Lu as she did her thing, he saw the look of worry on her face growing deeper suddenly.
Perhaps it was because she was about to locate them, or there might be other reasons complicating what they needed to do, but she looked exceptionally excited and her face was turning a bright red with excitement.
It was under those circumstances that Shang Xia understood she had reached a slightly dangerous state, but he didn’t dare to interfere easily.
Under such circumstances, the other side knew that they would be exposed no matter what, and intense fluctuations suddenly appeared from the spatial tunnel Shang Xia was forcefully keeping open.
A strange power wriggled about the tunnel as it flew straight for the, planning to connect the half-destroyed tunnel.
“They’re targeting me!” Xin Lu was injured and even though she had Shang Xia’s help and the Three Lights Water to keep herself from falling from exhaustion, she still looked like she had reached her limit and she quickly leaped off the platform to hide behind the mighty True Immortal.
Shang Xia could also guess that the other side was enraged and had decided to go all out since they couldn’t avoid the location of their world being exposed.
The reason was simple, and it was true to the instincts of spiritual beasts.
“That’s better. If they connect the spatial tunnel again, we will be able to locate them easily. We won’t have to waste any more time and we don’t even have to create a new spatial tunnel.” Shang Xia smiled. He increased his support to the spatial tunnel, afraid that the other side would stop the connection suddenly. In fact, he seemed happy to help.
Xin Lu frowned and looked as though all her work had gone down the drain. “Hey! They’re connecting it because I already located them. With the location of their world certain to be exposed, they’re doing this out of desperation...”
“You’re right.” Shang Xia chuckled softly and interrupted her. The Heaven Supporting Jade Pillar had returned to his hand before she noticed what happened. The spatial tunnel started to sway after he retrieved it.
“You...” Xin Lu was shocked but she was sent away from the region before she could finish speaking. The Twin Star Pirates who had been tasked with protecting her were also sent out.
“Since the other side wishes to take the initiative, we should commend their actions and meet them with all we have! The battle that will happen next is something you guys don’t have the ability to take part in and you should head back to the floating continent and inform the Ying Brothers. I can stop them for the time being, but I won’t be able to hold on forever.” Shang Xia’s voice rang in Xin Lu’s mind. “After all... They’re probably planning to go all out here!”
In the void hundreds of miles away, Xin Lu stared at the swaying spatial gate and felt complex emotions.
Even though a small-scale Star Ship had appeared beside them, she didn’t board immediately.
The pair of twin sisters who had been protecting Xin Lu the entire time looked at the spatial gate and felt the powerful fluctuations that were appearing while revealing looks of fear. They didn’t dare to rush Xin Lu.
With a soft sigh, Xin Lu eventually turned around to stop onto the Star Ship. “Let’s go. We’re not strong enough to interfere in anything that may happen here.”
As they moved further and further, Xin Lu suddenly thought of something and she started to cultivate.
I’ve already become a Grand Stargazer... If I don’t have the appropriate cultivation level, my art of stargazing will never improve further!
Xin Lu thought to herself and recalled Shang Xia’s advice to Yuan Qiuyuan.
One’s cultivation is the basis of everything!
...
Shang Xia felt intense fluctuations coming from the spatial tunnel as they grew closer and closer. He knew that the enemies would appear soon.
However, how could Shang Xia allow them to do as they wished to pass through the spatial tunnel easily?
After sending Xin Lu and the others away, he slammed his Stone Rod straight down at the spatial tunnel.
“Since you guys wish to deal with us now, I’ll help you out and get rid of you first!” Shang Xia didn’t stop with a single smash of his rod. He immediately unleashed another move right after his first. With his second strike, he used his World Establishing Art.
The moment it was used, the location right outside the spatial gate, and everything contained within started to stabilize.
With that, he helped them to reconnect the spatial tunnel.
His actions seemed to catch the spiritual beasts off guard and before they could react, the spatial tunnel had been reconnected.
A foreign world origin combined with the auras of high-level spiritual beasts rushed at Shang Xia. Nôv(el)B\\jnn
After unleashing his World Establishing Art, Shang Xia was far from done. He swung his Stone Rod again and unleashed Void Emptiness, the third move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique!
A loud pitched cry that contained its anger and rage transformed into one of misery and pain.
Shang Xia’s Stone Rod paused for a second, but it quickly tore through what was stopping him before following through to the next one.
The spatial tunnel on the other side trembled once and the miserable howl faded to become a soft whimper.
Along with the sound of metal crashing on metal, both sides of the spatial gate collapsed.
Another loud cry came from inside the spatial tunnel and this time, the energy in Shang Xia’s move was used up and it was finally blocked.
That wasn’t all. After stopping his strike, the opponents on the other side tried to snatch his weapon from him!
It was a shame they had no idea who they were dealing with. With a flick of his wrist, he easily retrieved his weapon.
Standing his ground, Shang Xia looked like a guardian holding off the invasion of the other side all by himself. Staring into the spatial tunnel, the look on his face became a lot more serious than before.
On the other side of the tunnel, after the first creature had been heavily injured by Shang Xia’s Void Emptiness, its cries became softer as it was evident the beast was fleeing. The other beast that stopped Shang Xia’s strike also started to move back, but it didn’t turn to run. Instead, it seemed like it was making way for another creature!
What do you think?
