Chapter 6: Chapter 6 Snow Condensing Grass 2
"Snow Ape." He spoke the name with a slightly tense expression, and his heart sank instantly.
The Snow Ape, an ice attribute spirit beast of the low level novice class, seemed to be around the fifth grade based on its size. Due to its physical advantage, the Snow Ape was extremely powerful, making it a particularly tough opponent among low level novice class spirit beasts.
It was evident that this beast was here for the Snow Condensation Grass.
The moment the Snow Ape appeared, Red's body tensed up, its gaze fixed intently on the massive figure before it. Intense flames burned on its claws, scorching the ground upon contact.
Taking a light breath, Regret's eyes turned slightly sharp. Since Red wanted to fight, they had no choice but to take down this big guy!
"Roar!"
With a mighty roar, the Snow Ape charged at Red with earth-shaking steps. Its five fingers clenched tightly before it suddenly punched forward. The force of this dominant strike even caused the space ahead to emit several whistling sounds.
Bending its hind legs slightly, it leapt high into the air. Red grabbed the snow ape's arm, the body twisting in mid-air, landing steadily on the latter's shoulder. Without hesitation, a claw swiped towards the snow ape's eyes, but the snow ape's reaction was extremely fast. Its head slightly turned, white fur fluttered, and its sturdy fist ruthlessly hit Red's claws.
"Wu!"
Thrown backward, Red winced in pain, gasping a breath, feeling the looming shadow above. Quickly rolling on the ground, the snow ape's fist heavily pounded where Red had been before, causing faint cracks to spread along the pit below the fist.
"Red, move around behind the snow ape's body and attack with Flame Claw!"
Regret maintained his composure, quickly identifying the snow ape's weakness. Although this spirit beast was powerful, its agility was pitifully low, unable to keep up with the nimble movements of Red.
With a glint in its eyes, the crimson flame fiercely stomped the ground, gliding under the snow ape's crotch. The sharp claws brought up a red glow, tearing the back of the snow ape's heel, causing blood to flow profusely.
Howling in pain, the snow ape instinctively turned to attack; the snowflakes swirling around its fist seemed to form a small vortex, creating a suction force that burst out.
"Swoosh!"
Rising upward, Red's eyes flashed with cold light, enduring a punch from the snow ape. With blood spilling from its mouth, its sharp Cat claws drew a mysterious arc in the air and straightaway pierced into the snow ape's throat.
"Splurt!"
Blood splattered everywhere.
Staring blankly at Red flickering under its own throat, the snow ape's already pale face suddenly turned incredibly pale.
With indifferent eyes, it withdrew its sharp claws, and Red lightly leaped, landing on the snow ape's soft fur in the moment it fell to the ground. The fresh blood overflowing from the corner of its mouth stained the snow ape's pristine fur quite vividly.
As a fire attribute spirit beast, a spirit beast with extremely restraining attributes, the second order Scorching flames Cat were able to defeat the fifth order snow ape not only due to its superior grade but also because of the restraint between attributes.
Of course, even in death, the snow ape never expected Red to be so lunatic, willing to be heavily injured just to kill it.
Tenderly cradling Red in his arms, Regret quickly took out a bottle of healing medicine from his clothes, sprinkling the medicine powder evenly over its body. This kind of healing medicine was a specialty of the Blaze family, capable of quickly restoring a spirit beast's injuries.
Comfortably lying in Regret's arms, the petite body of Red suddenly emitted a faint fiery red glow, like a beautiful halo of light.
"It broke through to the third rank!"
Regret breathed a sigh of relief, a faint smile appearing on his face. After a day of training, Red finally broke through the constraints of the second rank and entered the realm of the third rank.
After breaking through, Red' wounds had mostly healed. It jumped up from Regret's arms, It little claws resting on the latter's shoulder, wobbling unsteadily, before finally flipping over and sitting on Regret's shoulder.
By this time, dusk had arrived, and the light in the forest had noticeably dimmed. Experienced spiritual masters knew that the nights in each mountain range were extremely terrifying; the dangers hidden during the day would begin to emerge one by one.
After sweeping the large cloth bag behind him, Regret felt a slight headache. With so many spirit cores, carrying them back like this would be exhausting, he reckoned he might just collapse from fatigue.
Shaking his head, Regret brushed off those thoughts from his mind and quickly walked towards the edge of the forest. He was quite pleased in his heart, as today was indeed a big harvest. The gold coins he received could at least ensure he wouldn't have to worry about Spirit Condensing Liquid for some time
"Captain, it's already so late, why hasn't young master come out yet? Could something have happened to him?" On the outskirts of the back mountain, a member of the Blaze family looked anxiously at the mountains that stretched like ink.
"Sigh, I have no idea what the clan leader is thinking. When I informed him, he just nodded and asked me to come back." Another person said disappointedly. Although the outskirts of the back mountain are not particularly dangerous for them, it is undoubtedly deadly for a newly awakened spiritual disciple, especially considering that Regret awakened a useless spirit beast with no combat capability!
"No, it's getting darker. Mark, bring your Great tailed Dark Bat with me, the rest of you stay here and guard!" After a moment of contemplation, Adam's patience had reached its limit. Although leaving post without permission violated the family's rules, compared to Regret's safety, it was just a minor punishment that we will received from the family.
