Systemless Villain

Chapter 72 Path of Vengeance and Justice

Chapter 72 Path of Vengeance and Justice

Arriving at his villa, Long Tian swiftly carried Li Yue'er inside. However, Shen Yulan suddenly emerged from his jade necklace.

"Do you know anything about her condition?" Long Tian asked immediately.

"It feels... strange. The dark energy feels familiar to me, but for some reason, I can't recall it," Shen Yulan replied with a serious tone.

"Does that mean the dark-clad woman came from the upper realm?" Long Tian asked, his tone serious.

"Not the woman, but that dark energy. It feels like I've encountered it before, but I can't remember," Shen Yulan clarified.

"That doesn't sound good," Long Tian remarked.

*************

On the second floor, Long Tian gently placed Li Yue'er on the bed. Her condition resembled the state of unconsciousness caused by her unique special martial spirit side effects.

"The doctor said she would wake up in a few hours, is it true?" Long Tian inquired.

"I don't know; her condition is more like being asleep, so there isn't much I can do," Shen Yulan replied, her concern evident in her voice.

Long Tian gazed at Li Yue'er. Somehow, she had awakened dual martial spirits. While it might have been pure luck, certain factors influenced the martial spirit awakened: tragedy, sorrow, depression, and happiness.

He suddenly recalled the incident a few days ago when he influenced Li Yue'er to kill Li Hai, and her brutality was evident when she beheaded him.

"Could it be because of that?" he wondered silently.

It was a possibility, considering the drastic change in Li Yue'er's expression during that moment. She had shed her innocent demeanor, revealing a cold ruthlessness.

However, regardless of the reason, having dual martial spirits was undoubtedly a boon for her.

"Well, let's see how she is in a few hours. I have something to do today," he said.

"Where are you going?" Shen Yulan asked, her curiosity piqued.

"To the Tianzhou Forest," Long Tian answered, as he started walking out of the room, leaving Shen Yulan with a sense of intrigue.

Shen Yulan simply nodded. She didn't need to ask many questions because wherever Long Tian went, it usually resulted in something good.

**************

Long Tian stepped into his car and departed from the villa. His goal wasn't to steal Qin Chen's opportunity; in fact, he had lost track of where that plotline was in the current timeline.

His destination was the Tianzhou Forest, where he planned to test the powers of his dual martial spirits: Shen Long and Zeus. He intended to explore the depths of both their abilities.

*************

Meanwhile, within the Wudang Sect compound, Qin Chen was earnestly practicing. His determination to grow stronger remained unshaken, even though he possessed only a D-Class martial spirit.

The Human Skeleton... he hadn't yet uncovered its capabilities, despite numerous practice sessions.

Bang!

A single strike shattered the wooden dummy in front of him. He wiped the sweat from his face and headed towards a water bottle placed on a nearby stone.

However, just as his hand was about to reach the bottle, it suddenly flew away, spilling its contents.

Furrowing his brows, Qin Chen turned to see five young men dressed in traditional Wudang attire approaching. One of them, a blond-haired youth, grinned mischievously at him.

"What do you want?" Qin Chen asked with a cold tone.

"Hehe, are you even asking? You better take a good look at yourself and consider whether you deserve to train here or not," the blond youth said with a smirk, his arms crossed.

"The Supreme Leader may have agreed, but I don't. With your talent, you're unworthy of training in the inner disciples' area," he continued, his tone turning icy.

"So, what do you intend to do about it?" Qin Chen asked fearlessly.

The youth sneered, "I'm going to teach you a lesson," he said, pointing at Qin Chen. He then directed his companions, "Attack him!"

With that command, the other four youths walked toward Qin Chen, their expressions filled with aggression.

On the other hand, Qin Chen remained calm and prepared for whatever would happen. It wasn't the first time he had been bothered by Wudang sect disciples.

"I'm going to give you a lesson," one of them said cruelly, cracking his knuckles.

With that, he clenched his fist and aimed it at Qin Chen's face. However, before the punch could land, Qin Chen swiftly stepped forward and punched him in the face.

Bang!

The impact was strong enough to send the man tumbling several meters away.

While the remaining three were taken aback, they quickly regained their composure. "Attack him together!" one of them shouted.

Facing the three of them, Qin Chen remained remarkably composed. He met their attacks with blocks and dodges.

Meanwhile, the trio struggled to keep up. Qin Chen moved with such fluidity that it seemed he could predict their every move.

And at this moment, Qin Chen spotted an opening. He quickly punched one of them in the stomach.

Bang!

His punch was so powerful that the man fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

As the other two looked on in shock, Qin Chen used the opportunity to take them both down with Slender Fist Technique.

Four men lay on the ground, defeated.

Now, his attention turned to the blond youth, who stood there in disbelief.

"What will you do now?" Qin Chen asked indifferently, his arms crossed.

"I-I won't stop here!" the youth stammered before hastily retreating, leaving Qin Chen alone.

Seeing the youth's departure, Qin Chen couldn't help but sigh. Ever since he arrived at the Wudang Sect, he had been constantly embroiled in disputes with others. He wasn't too concerned; if anyone caused trouble for him, he would beat them.

However, there was always one person on his mind: Long Tian. He still wondered why that person always obstructed him in various ways.

Now, he had to obtain the Heartblade of Guo Jian to exchange it for Li Yue'er. Just the thought of her beautiful face reignited his determination. He vividly remembered the promise he made with Li Yue'er that they would get married in the future.

Qin Chen shook his head, understanding that he had to train diligently to become strong. His primary goal now was to acquire the Heartblade of Guo Jian.

As he was about to return to his training, he suddenly noticed many disciples running around. He raised an eyebrow, "Where are they going?" he muttered under his breath.

The more he observed, the more disciples he saw in a hurry. Eventually, he decided to follow the crowd and see what was happening.

He tapped the shoulder of one of the disciples and asked, "Hey, do you know what's going on? Why are so many people running?"

The disciple turned to look at Qin Chen and replied, "I don't know either. I just came here because I saw a lot of people running."

Qin Chen nodded and was about to seek more information. But he suddenly spotted a familiar figure in the distance. It was Wang Lin, his best friend!

He quickly ran towards Wang Lin and called out, "Hey, Wang Lin!"

On the other hand, Wang Lin, upon hearing someone call his name, scanned the surroundings and locked eyes with Qin Chen.

Qin Chen reached Wang Lin and said, "Hey, Brother Wang, I didn't expect to see you here. What are you doing?" he asked curiously.

"Hehe, didn't I tell you? My family has been working for the government for a long time, and now, I'm participating in an investigation that Wudang Sect reported," Wang Lin replied.

"Investigation about what?" Qin Chen inquired.

"A few days ago, representatives from Wudang Sect approached the government and reported that the Golden Star Sect had stolen some treasures and weapons. So, I'm here with my father to participate in the investigation," Wang Lin explained.

Hearing this, Qin Chen suddenly remembered. Yes, because the Golden Star Sect had killed Shi Huang's son, the Wudang Sect sought revenge, which led them to report the Golden Star Sect to the government to seek assistance.

However, what piqued his interest was not the revenge but the Heartblade of Guo Jian stolen by the golden star sect.

He grinned inwardly, it seemed like today was his lucky day. He was going to steal that Heartblade!

"Brother Wang, may I accompany you?" he asked.

"Sure, let's meet my father," Wang Lin nodded.

******************

Qin Chen and Wang Lin walked together towards a certain place. It turned out that many disciples were gathered here because representatives from the government and the Xuantian Academy had arrived.

Both forces had suffered losses caused by the Golden Star Sect. The government had lost various weapons, pills, and the Heartblade of Guo Jian, while the Xuantian Academy had experienced similar losses.

At this moment, the two of them entered a magnificent building in the Elder area. They sat among the representatives of the Han Empire government.

This magnificent room was filled with over 50 people, with 15 government representatives, 10 from the Xuantian Academy, and the rest being Wudang Sect Elders.

At this moment, Shi Huang, seated in the sect leader's chair, initiated the discussion.

"Alright, let's begin the plan to destroy the Golden Star Sect."

(NB: Han Empire was also called China)
