Chapter 499
499 Baby bump
“... Grandpa has to take justice for me other... otherwise I will be bullied by my future husband’s family wuwuwuwu,” wailed Zi Han like he had been wronged.
Grandpa Zi, “...”
Okay, he was wrong. He shouldn’t have drunk with this grandson of his. The young man couldn’t hold his liquor at all. When the door slid open they bumped into Secretary K who had just come from cleaning the mess at Loch Ness star. Who knew the madam would ditch him. After that he had to keep the peace between the Bloodgarde members and the military. The tension was so intense that one spark could result in a massive explosion. Who would have thought that when he got back he would run into a drunk Zi Han and a concerned Zi Feiji?
“You take him. Carry him to the infirmary. He is too heavy,” said Zi Feiji, and Secretary K who was very happy to see Zi Han back safe and sound heaved a sigh internally.
“Oh look it’s secretary K, no no no it’s uncle K. Uncle K avenge me. I am very very aggrieved,” said Zi Han, and the least expressive person on this warship actually cracked.
“Ignore him. He is too chatty. At least he’s not like his mother when she is drunk. There is a lot of crying... and singing. Ugh, the singing. It gives me nightmares,” he said and secretary K subconsciously shivered recalling Zi Xingxi’s singing. It almost made his ears deaf.
“Why is he like this?” he asked and Zi Feiji placed his finger on his lips shushing him.
“You ask too many questions. Just don’t tell his mother about this. If she finds out that we drank the old bottle without her she will get jealous,” he said recalling how he had stopped his daughter from opening it.
When she graduated from the academy she asked for it but he refused saying that the occasion wasn’t special enough. Now the occasion was right but whose fault was it that she wasn’t there? If he waited till tomorrow it won’t have the same sentimental feeling.
.....
Secretary K couldn’t promise anything. He never lied to Zi Xingxi so if she asks he most definitely will tell the truth.
Zi Feiji was about to ask him again to agree when Zi Han moved again and this time he had his fist covering his mouth like he was about to throw up.
“... ugh... grandpa. I am going to throw up... Am I dying?” he said his eyes watery like he was going to cry.
“How much did he drink?” asked Secretary K thinking it must have been half a bottle that did this. One can only imagine his expression when he found out that it was less than a quarter of a glass.
“It was about this much. Believe me, I didn’t see that one coming,” replied Zi Feiji only for Zi Han to become even more ridiculous.
He gasped before saying, “Am I pregnant? I think I am pregnant. Oh, the horror... that’s why I feel nauseous and my ankles are swollen... Chen-ge, you did this to me wuwuwu,” whimpered Zi Han and Lynn Feng who had just rushed over after seeing that her sweetheart’s mech had just returned in the hangar of the warship froze. Who would have thought she would run into cutie Han claiming that he was pregnant?
She stared at the three and the three stared at her before she said, “I um I forgot that I I had um something else to do so... bye.”
Zi Feiji, “...”
Secretary K, “???”
“Okay, he should never drink again,” said Zi Feiji and Secretary K could second that.
Meanwhile, Yi Chen who had no idea he had impregnated his boyfriend was standing in an inclined chamber wishing his wife was here. At least then he would feel brave enough to do this.
After standing there for a while he was getting kind of bored. Lucky for him his father remembered him and brought over his light brain and hooked it to the machine he was currently in. He thought while they were running tests he could entertain himself.
“Here... I connected it. You can use it until the start of the treatment. You should know how to use it, right?” said Yi Zhen looking at his son who seemed clueless about everything. The temperament was the same but the behaviour was way off.
“Which one is Zi Han’s contact?” he asked and Yi Zhen almost rolled his eyes. How was he supposed to know that? Okay fine, he knew but why would he tell him that?
He wanted to hold back and not say it but after looking into those puppy dog eyes he found himself relenting.
“Don’t...don’t look at me like that... *sigh... just check the one with a star on top. That’s your favourite contact,” he said and Yi Chen couldn’t help but show a slight smile before saying,
“Dad is the best.”
“Eee,” squeaked the former Marshal his heart filled with fluffy clouds. Now he wished his little Chen Chen would stick around a little longer. It was all his fault that his son didn’t smile at him anymore or praise him with a proud expression. He wished this version could last a little longer.
“Okay, I um... I am going to go. Just... if you need anything you can call me,” said Yi Zhen before leaving.
“Okay,” replied Yi Chen before pressing the video call button. It rang three times before a zoomed-in face of Zi Han appeared on the screen.
Yi Chen’s brows furrowed a little but before he could ask Zi Han backed away and said, “Oh... it’s you.”
“I thought you would be more enthusiastic than that. Are you... are you naked?” he asked and boy the view was something.
“No no... I am wearing my birthday suit. Grandpa forbade me from leaving and he gave me a hangover pill. I have to wait until it kicks in,” replied Zi Han with everything just hanging right there for Yi Chen to see.
“But why are you nak- I mean why are you in your birthday suit?” he asked again and Zi Han hurriedly explained.
“I saw you called and I wanted to show you my baby bump so I took it all off. I think it looks like I am two months along. What do you think?” asked Zi Han while rubbing his belly. To be frank, he looked like he was bloated.
“You don’t... you don’t look like it. You scum of a husband. You did this and you won’t admit it?” said Zi Han his voice fluctuating with his emotions. It was like going through a rollercoaster ride.
