The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 566 - 566 Wedding plans

566 Wedding plans

The bonds of family are very important because they help us go through the most disastrous times and the best times.

Getting to spend such an amazing day with all these wonderful people who were also his family, Zi Han couldn’t help but feel content. Recalling the days it was just him and his mother he couldn’t help but marvel at how far they had come.

If one was to ask the younger version of himself if he ever thought that they would be here today he would respond with mocking laughter. No, he thought he would finish military training and buy his mother a lovely house in Sky city. He would strive to attain a higher military rank and when the time comes, he would go to the gene bank and get a child of his own. When he wasn’t around the little one would keep his mother company.

Who would think that he had an amazing grandfather who would go to the ends of the federation for them? Who would think his father would come back from the dead and put that smile on his mother’s face?

Who would have thought he would have an amazing fiance and in laws that would accept him into their fold? As he sat there watching them play in the water, Zi Han smiled happily. Yi Chen who was being harassed by his two siblings who were trying to get the beach ball from him, felt an intense gaze coming from the shore.

Curious, he turned to glance in that direction and saw Zi Han sitting on the sun lounger facing his direction. He was wearing a pair of sunglasses but Yi Chen could tell he was looking at him.

Yi Chen mouthed, “You look sexy,” and Zi Han looked away with a smile that was very hard to describe.

Yi Chen wanted to say something else to him but he was pushed into the water by these two who were relentless. Lin Ruoxi shared a floating screen with Zi Han while asking, “Han Han, this is what we came up with. What do you think?”

Zi Han scratched the side of his nose while zooming in on the floating screen. The reason why he wasn’t in the water cooling down and was instead sitting in the shade sipping on a strawberry sunrise was because Lin Ruoxi wanted to show her what she was thinking about the wedding.

.....

It was useless to talk to Yi Chen because he was the anything goes type as long as Zi Han was happy. He only wouldn’t compromise when it came to the bridal chamber. That he was very particular about.

Zi Han seemed quite impressed with her arrangements and when he showed it to his mother, he found out that she already knew because these two had been having meetings behind his back for the past years.

The day they met and officially accepted each other as in laws they had been planning for the big day. They had talked about the decorations, the menu and even the guest list.

One could see that they went way ahead of themselves especially after confirming the children’s intentions towards each other.

“Who do you think arranged the flowers in the design? I even picked who would be there,” said Zi Xingxi while ruffling his hair.

“You two had been planning this for a long time, haven’t you? What if we never got back together? Wouldn’t it be a waste of your time?” said Zi Han and Zi Xingxi laughed.

“You think I don’t know you? I am your mother after all. What never gets back together? I might have been in denial before but deep down I knew the game had already ended from the moment it started. You love that man stubbornly so,” she said and Lin Ruoxi chuckled softly.

When did she know? She knew the day she saw her son smiling in that cafe. From then on there was no turning back.

“Uh fine, I am stubbornly in love with Chen-ge,” he said laughing at himself. His heart was when it fell, fell down for good. There was no way he could recover from it.

“I have already consulted for an auspicious day. Once I have it, I will give the vendors the go ahead and you two can finally tie the knot,” said Lin Ruoxi while tapping on the floating screen checking if they had already sent it to her.

“Okay,” replied Zi Han before taking a long sip. Maybe it was because alcohol clouded his mind that he said, “If it were up to me we would have eloped already.”

“Don’t don’t say the E word,” said Lin Ruoxi crossing her fingers that her mother hadn’t heard it but who was she kidding? She was obviously older but her ears were incredibly sharp.

She woke up from her light nap like a dog after sniffing an intruder coming to rob the house.

“Who wants to elope?” she asked while pulling up her sunglasses. She heard the e word and like a magic spell, it woke her up.

Zi Han, “...”

“Mum, go back to sleep. We were just chatting casually,” she said and grandma Lin answered,

“Oh,” before lying back down.

“Kids nowadays want to run off and get married without us. We also want to toast their wedding wine and judge other guests’ outfits. Why would you take that away from us? That’s the best part about being part family,” she said before cosying back into the same position as before.

She loved weddings so much but rarely had to attend one. How she loved the runway show and the food.

While Lin Rouxi was trying to appease her mother her husband had brought back some jet skis from the underground garage drawing Yeoh Jun’s attention. It was inevitable their competition would insure. It was just their second nature.

It didn’t take long before they were challenging each other and they somewhat involved Yi Chen who was minding his own business.

The once peaceful water had three jet skis wreaking havoc which also happened to draw Zi Han’s attention. He also wanted to play and Zi Xingxi could see it in his eyes.
