The Chronicles of the Immortal God

Chapter 174: Exhort

Chapter 174: Exhort

Wang Hao looked smug as he brandished the Soul Exterminating Lightning on his hands. To make it look cooler, he decided to put the lightning into a shape of a whip.

As for its origins, Wang Hao decided to not think about it as he started scaring his opponents.

“Piak!” The lightning whip let out a noise as Wang Hao hit the ground with it. Sparks flew out, making his opponents back out of fear.

“Fellow resident, you are not going to use that to wipe us out of existence, right?” The leader of group 60, named Clifford, pleaded to Wang Hao. Clifford knew that Wang Hao’s lighting whip will easily obliterate his group.

“Do not worry... I do not indiscriminately destroy souls. But how can I show that I win? No forfeiting is allowed here right?”

Clifford paused, clearly bothered by this. He knew that rule too. He then adopted a fawning expression on his face as he said,

“Well, you can allow your followers to beat us up. Once they do that, they will register that as our loss.”

Wang Hao held the whip on his left hand as he used his right to cup his chin. Clifford smiled, relieved that Wang Hao was thinking about it.

It may be humiliating to let yourself get beaten up, but that was much better than getting destroyed.

“You know... I have a better idea.” When Clifford heard Wang Hao muttering this sentence, chills began spreading out of his body. He knew Wang Hao will be up to no good now.

Wang Hao opened his right palm and put it in front of him. He wiggled his fingers on his right hand as he said,

“If you want to be beaten up, give me everything you have right now. If you disagree... Piak!” Wang Hao started whipping the ground again. “You will be friends with my whip. Do not worry, your clothes and undergarments will stay with you.”

“.....” Clifford had no more tears to spare after hearing Wang Hao’s demand.

“This opportunist!” Right now, Clifford could only blame himself for letting Wang Hao gain the advantage. How could Clifford know that Wang Hao will actually resort to cheap tricks like this?

But with Wang Hao having the advantage in the talk, Clifford had no choice but to comply.

“Hahaha! That’s it! Give me more!” Wang Hao laughed like an evil tyrant as Clifford’s group gave everything they have to Wang Hao. Weapons, talismans, money and cultivation resources piled in heaps in front of him.

“Hey Roxy! Come and get this for me! Make sure you store them well!”

Roxy and Old Billy happily stored all the stolen goods on the storage provided by Wang Hao. As for Jin, he gritted his teeth, knowing that he was representing the honor of people like him.

But in the end, he too helped in the collection.

Once he was sure that he had given everything to Wang Hao, Clifford and his followers stood right in front of him, clearly waiting to be beaten up.

“....” Clifford closed his eyes in humiliation as he waited for the attacks that will land on him. Seconds passed by, and he still did not get beaten up.

Clifford opened his eyes and he saw Wang Hao with his right palm still outstretched in front of him.

From his expression and gestures, Wang Hao was still clearly waiting for Clifford to give more.

“But I already gave everything to you!” Clifford started tearing up as he continued saying,

“I swear with my soul that I already gave all the treasures and items I have to you! If I am lying, the heavens are free to destroy me!” Clifford sighed in relief as he stayed alive. “See? I already gave it all to you!”

Wang Hao looked pensive as he replied.

“Of course I know that you already gave all your treasures to me. But aren’t you forgetting one more thing?”

“Huh?” Clifford tilted his head, clearly confused on what Wang Hao said.

Is there one more thing that he forgot to give to Wang Hao?

“You forgot to give me your action number.” Wang Hao stated it as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “The action number was your property, so you also have to give it to me.”

“Wait... is that even allowed?” Clifford racked his head on the rules, trying to see a rule talking about trading of action numbers. “There are no rules stating that action numbers can be given!”

Wang Hao just smugly replied,

“But are there rules stating that giving action numbers are not allowed?”

“Well... there are none too.” Clifford paled as he realized that Wang Hao just found a loophole on the rules of the trial!

“Hahaha! In that case, it’s perfectly fine if you give your action number to me! Since nothing prevents it from happening, you can give it to me!”

Roxy, who finished collecting all their stolen goods asked Wang Hao worriedly,

“But won’t the trial organizers just interfere on this just like what they did to you earlier?”

“No they will not.” Wang Hao replied smugly.

“And why is that?”

Wang Hao shook his head, clearly not interested on sharing the reason why. Roxy pouted her lips angrily, stomping the ground in the process.

She looked at Clifford as she said,

“Go give your action number to him! Let’s see if anything happens.”

Clifford nodded, giving his card with the number 6 to Wang Hao. Once Wang Hao received it, the card let out a glow as it fused with Wang Hao’s card that was engraved with number 5. The resulting card was a card with number 11 engraved on it.

“That’s a.... hidden objective!” Roxy’s awed voice sounded out as she stared at the phenomena. “So we can do this to the cards! How come nobody ever thought of this before?”

Wang Hao was inwardly pleased with himself with him discovering that action numbers can actually be increased in the trial.

As for why nobody had ever done it before, Wang Hao was sure that it was because all of them were focused on defeating their opponents and occupying the throne. Aside from that, the rules did not say anything about increasing the action numbers. Only those willing to get the action number of others can discover this phenomenon.

But for this to happen, they must be willing to steal from their opponents.

Only a shameless person like Wang Hao will think of stealing from his opponents during the trial. This shamelessness of his led to the discovery of this hidden objective.

Clifford and his followers were similarly stunned from seeing Wang Hao’s card having the number 11.

“Does that mean... you can use an action eleven times now?” Clifford asked Wang Hao worriedly.

“Yep.” That was Wang Hao’s short reply.

“Hiss....” Clifford knew the implications of Wang Hao’s discovery. More action numbers will allow Wang Hao to attack more groups. With his high rank, as long as Wang Hao will not meet Huo Huangdi, he can force his opponents to fight him.

And with his lightning whip, him winning was already set in stone. For each group that Wang Hao meets, he will surely demand them to give their belongings and action numbers before he beats them up.

That means Wang Hao will gain more and more and numbers as the number of the groups he met increases.

“What a devious tactic!” Clifford started to feel better after this. He realized that losing to someone with a mental prowess like Wang Hao was not that bad at all.

Clifford bowed his head as he said,

“Please be gentle with us.”

That was the last thing he said before he got assailed with kicks and punches.

........

Gabrielle’s jaw dropped when she saw Wang Hao shamelessly exhorting Clifford’s team. What made her more surprised was when Wang Hao actually managed to increase his action numbers!

“Well....” All the three anchors were speechless as they watched Wang Hao followers beating up Clifford’s team. Due to the threat of the lightning whip, Clifford’s team just received all the beatings given to them.

Once their injuries have reached near fatal levels, they were teleported at the base of the mountain. With them losing their action numbers and belongings, they have miniscule chance of occupying a throne.

Gabrielle broke the stunned silence as she said,

“Well, we should congratulate Wang Hao for discovering a hidden objective on this trial. Does that increase his chance of occupying a throne Bob?”

Gabrielle chose to ignore Wang Hao’s shameless stealing tactics as she tried to glorify his achievement.

Bob snorted derisively, clearly not pleased with Wang Hao’s actions. In the end it said,

“With his lightning whip and increasing action numbers, Wang Hao’s chance to occupy a throne will be high now. Besides that, Holy Mother of Yama!” Bob suddenly cursed out, seeing something that made him curse out.

“What is it?” Gabrielle looked at the screen, and what she saw almost made her faint.

Wang Hao and his followers were currently at the boundary of the North and East Area. He stared at the wall separating the two areas, as if it was intriguing him.

When Gabrielle saw what Wang Hao was doing, she had a premonition on what Wang Hao will do.

“Don’t tell me....”

She gulped silently as she thought to herself,

“Please, you cannot be this shameless!”
