The Dreamer's POV

Chapter 231 An Eat-Out In The Royal Capital

"It's time."

I took the hands of the two, and nodded to Theo, prompting him to activate the orb. I had gone through maps, from detailed to simple ones, and paintings, visualizing the capital, visualizing where we needed to be.

I also made sure we took enough gold, none of us had been to the capital, and such places can be quite expensive, it was better to be prepared.

The noble's voice got to us, and I nodded, realizing what I needed to do.

<Greater Teleportation> I cried and light streamed from my body and into those that I held, and we were gone.

Instantly, we arrived in the middle of a street in a bustling city. Marble structures were erected at our sides, market stalls and statues.

There were people, so many of them that I felt that we would drown in them. Pickpockets were certain to be plentiful in places like this, but luckily I had stored our coins in my safe pocket space, and nobody could get there.

And then we heard the neighing of horses and whips striking.

"Move! Move!" The yells were directed our way and we had to move to a side, pushing some people further.

"Hey."

"Watch it asshole."

"Sorry sorry." Drius apologized on our behalf, meanwhile I and Theo watched the carriage go, and we both shared an understanding then. That was a noble heading to the palace, and that we should follow them.

I pulled Drius from the group he was apologizing to and we began jogging, following the carriage. Fortunately, they had the horses go slow, any faster and it would crash on people.

The buildings of this place were beautiful and ornate. I looked around to capture the artistic expression of the structures.

Not only were the buildings beautiful, the capital's people were just as beautiful too, they wore clothes almost as beautiful as the one on dukes, their skin glistening beneath the warm sun, lips luscious and succulent and muscles bulging and tough.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

They exposed much skin, a lot of men wearing what looked like the skirts commonly known amongst roman legionnaires, and a shirt that had only a hold, and the hold went diagonally, exposing much of the flesh of the abdomens and chests.

And the women, they dressed even more scantily than the men, wearing shorter flailing skirts that showed beautiful thighs and low necked dresses that barely held their bosoms together.

I smiled as I jogged, I liked this place. However, it seemed like we wouldn't have to tail the carriage any longer after a turn got us right in front of the ever glorious palace.

The three stood of us wide eyed at the exorbitant and glorious display of wealth.

The palace was carved from the whitest and brightest of marbles, gold overlapping stone, with large precious stones sitting at various designated spots, it was beautiful, truly a sight to behold.

The place was where all the wealth of the Southern kingdom was concentrated at.

It was the early hours of the evening, and the ball would hold at night. It was time for the guests to arrive–the dukes, the barons, governors and a few wealthy merchants and lowly nobles that saw favor in the eyes of his majesty.

"Before we head in, let us have some of their local foods." Theo announced.

I slowly nodded, agreeing with his proposition, and Drius didn't feel like he was in any position to object.

What better way to spread out leisure time here than to delight ourselves in the culture –more importantly, the food.

We approached a market stall, all excited and I withdrew a little bag of coins from my pocket space, so small a bag that it could fit into my hands, and then something unexpected happened.

I had <Visionary> activated, and with it, I could see five seconds into the future, whether it was seeing punches thrown before they came to hitting me, or simple tasks like catching a thief before they could strike.

The hooded thief swept in, making a sound of excitement, and throwing his hands forward to snatch my bag of coins. Before they could however, I turned to it at a speed they didn't anticipate, and delivered a swift punch to their gut.

He croaked, and fell on his knees and went unconscious.

'Oof, I may have punched too hard.'

"Oh well."

I caught the attention of people shortly, but they soon resumed their businesses.

"That was fast!" Theo exclaimed.

"Yes…" I absently answered. Even in rich places like this, there were people who lacked that they retorted to stealing, it was sad.

"Sorry my lords, they are everywhere unfortunately." The man behind the food stall spoke.

And I clicked my tongue to his statement.

We took our seats and ordered a bunch of food, even ones that were foreign to the nation.

I had never thought that food could be so delicious and mouth watering until I tried the spiced lobster dish from the Western Republic, whatever spices were used were overkill, and I found myself begging for more.

We ate and ate, filling our bellies and squandering our coins.

"There are little better joys than enjoying a well made dish." The food seller joked, obviously glad that he had made so much from us.

'I doubt I'll have room for whatever is served at the ball.'

Whatever stains we got on our outfits were removed by a cleaning shop just beside the food stall.

I thought that was smart, and the two businesses complemented each other.

Before we knew it, the sun had set and it was time to make our way to the palace.

We began our journey on the multitudinous steps, and on a platform right before another roll of stairs, we were inquired of our business, and Theo announced himself and his intention, showing forth the letter of invitation. We were made to pass, and we got inside the palace.

Though the exterior of the palace was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen, the interior made it the second most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

Just from where we stood, the walls were made of metal with the firmness of gold and the shining property of diamonds. We stood awestruck.

"Are you all here for the ball?" We heard from the side, a manservant had come to us.

"Yes!" We said in unison like children.
