The First King of Beasts

Chapter 82 Training Begins

"Well shit then, that's fucked." Dustin said.

"Well, yeah. So, with you who's energy is still in let's say, a foundation stage, it can be moulded and changed a bit, and you wouldn't suffer much if done properly. I'm sure there would be proper techniques and methods to do this in my case, but seeing as I don't particularly have access to some library of the gods, nothing can be done for now." Eir concluded.

With that, they both left that part for the time being as there was nothing they could do about it at the time. For now, Dustin just focused on eating the new meat Eir brought, and try to form a strong foundation.

From the original 5 points in constitution, after the next two months of the new meat treatment, it rose to 20, but then again that still wasn't enough. Since Dustin didn't tell Eir about the system, they couldn't measure the amount in figures of how much more the constitution stat needed to rise, all Eir said was that he was still far from the desired level, and he needed more time to develop. In the system, Dustin also noticed something else forming much to his surprise, as something new was starting to take root. 'Hmm, something's changing here, I wonder what it is..' Dustin said in his mind. He could more or less guess what it was, but as he wasn't sure, he decided to leave it like that until he was absolutely sure. 'Then again, I can just pump in some points into the constitution stat right now.'

Contrary to what Eir said though, Dustin felt his constitution had risen to a good level, and Eir might just want to keep him on his feet so he doesn't relax. Either way, Eir had decided it was time to begin other trainings, and so the starting of the first month marked the beginning of Dustin's training, officially, if he would call it that.

"Alright then boy, let's begin." Eir said, as he stood some feet away from Dustin. Over time while he spent the days with Dustin, he resulted to referring to him as boy because of the way he always asked lots of questions and would always disturb him about things even when he was clearly resting... not like he was doing much to begin with. Apparently, lying around all day could be a real chore.

Right now, Dustin couldn't only make out the position where the man stood, he could also tell just how his form moved, as he could now see the shape of things with energy around him, though not in the minimal amounts. Within the two months where he was charged to just eat meat as his assignment, Dustin also took that time to improve his new skill after knowing it could be trained.

'Look at him standing so lazily like it's some kind of disturbance for him to train me.' Dustin thought as he stood before Eir in a battle ready stance, the best he could. Not like he had received any special martial art training of the sort, just whatever made him feel battle ready at the moment.

"Come one. You are not scared now are you? I'll be gentle, don't worry." Eir said, and Dustin could swear his tone had a mocking undertone.

The battle was hand to hand combat, and though Eir said it didn't matter much, he still wanted to see what Dustin could do. Dustin dashed forward at the man before him and started swinging and punching both his hands and legs trying to land a a hit on Eir. The little spar went on for a while, but no matter how much he tried, Dustin couldn't even touch his clothes. It always looked like he was about to touch the man, but when his hand would get close, he would just find himself missing by the slightest margin. 'Damn! Just a sly.' Dustin cursed in his mind realizing what the man before him was doing. It was clear that Eir could just avoid him properly, but then he kept doing it at the last moment to give Dustin some hope that he actually had a chance to do something.

"Forget this shit! It's clear that I wouldn't be able to touch you no matter how much I try, so lets just get it over with." Dustin grumbled as he found himself glued to the ground unwilling to get up if it meant they would continue. Eir eventually gave up on trying to get him to stand, and with that they moved to the next part.

"I was going to test you in other areas, but then you don't want to do any sort of spar." Eir said, to which Dustin just snorted dismissively.

"Whatever. The next step in your training is going to be, like you already guessed, a set of exercises that will boost your constitution and endurance." Eir said.

"And with that.."

"Yeah, we'll have to move outside, though for the first weeks. After that we can then move to the advanced stuff." Eir completed.

After that, a portal appeared before them, and Dustin stepped through it first. As though he just passed through a door connecting two rooms, Dustin found that he was just then stepping on grass, and had for a fact forgotten to put on shoes. He didn't keep it in his mind to not forget, but after the fight which he could do absolutely nothing against his opponent, Dustin must have completely forgotten and left without them. It would seem like Eir really like the dark, as the portal which they went through led them to the night part of this plane which Dustin originally came from.

"So.. What do I do first?" Dustin asked while standing on the grass lands.

"Well, for starters, you will have to put on this first before we begging anything." Eir said, as a robe appeared on Eir's hand out of thin air, and Dustin could see the smirk on the man's face. Now that they were outside, Dustin could clearly see Eir's form and what he looked like, and in a place where he had some kind of vision, the sixth sense skill seemed to help more than Dustin originally thought. The man had muscular build, but wasn't some muscle covered freak whose body screamed 'GYM!' When ever he walked. His face was average with no beards present, and some wrinkles here and there could be spotted.

Looking at the robe, one thought immediately shot into Dustin's head, two words. WEIGHTED TRANING.

This was something he had seen in countless shows and countless people had tried to make videos of them attempting the supposed weighted training on the internet. 'No shit.' Dustin thought while looking at the robe held before him a couple of feet away.

The way Eir was holding it made Dustin's thoughts subside, as he couldn't really say the robe was heavy, not to mention that it was continuously flailing in the ever blowing breeze. He must have remained standing without coming to take the robe from Eir for at least five seconds, and Eir thought it to be too long and threw the robe to Dustin, which he caught to his surprise. Well, not until he fell to his back hard with something heavy pressed against his chest did he realize that this was actually going to become one of those weighted trainings.

"The fuck.. this is murder you are trying to commit." Dustin protested.

"Come on boy, its just some piece of clothes, why would it kill you?" Eir said while he chuckled mockingly at Dustin who struggled real hard to get the robe off him.

After 2 solid minutes that lasted way longer than that for Dustin, he managed to push the robe off his body and unto the ground before bending over and putting his hands on the ground while breathing hard, desperately fighting to get air into his lunges. There was just no way he was going to be subjected to do any form of exercise while putting on that thing over his body.

"There's no way I'm having that on me while I do anything... HuFF.. Huff." Dustin said after one big gasp of air before exhausting it and pausing to hold his breathe again. "I wouldn't even be able to do anything with that on.. Huff.. Huff."

Eir could see the way he visibly struggled to get it off him, and to say the least, he didn't look very impressed, but then again Dustin couldn't tell if this was one of his acting or if he was actually being serious.

"I can't even get that thing on, and if I eventually do, I might actually just die." Dustin protested.

"Really? First of all, you won't die. You see, I happen to have a healing spell or two, so I can make sure of that. Then for the part of putting it on, you wouldn't need to." Eir said, as he looked at the robe Dustin dropped to the side, then at that exact moment Dustin's body just crashed unto the ground as he felt like a truck had been dropped on him.. "I can help you put it on."
