Chapter 1544: Ancient Glorious City(15)
A pitch-black light gathered on the tips of all ten fingers, and immediately, a beam of light was released by Aakesh.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Repeated sounds of explosions rang as the beams crashed on enemies one after another. That attack had taken around one-fifth of Aakesh's total energy reserves, and the result didn't disappoint him.
Including an intermediate True God level enemy, four True God enemies died in the attack, while another intermediate True God was severely injured.

"I never expected a late Lesser God to be that strong," Halie commented while being locked in prison.
She was talking to Aakesh, who was locked up with her in the next prison. The prince was seriously thinking about killing Aakesh, but since his strength impressed him, he decided to do a public execution after getting the throne. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Aakesh didn't respond to Halie but was thinking of ways to leave the prison and complete the challenge. With his strength, it was impossible to break out of the prison, but with the help of Halie and other prisoners, he could get that chance.
Aakesh wanted things to end in hours since he needed to return to his owned building to return to Thorr City and the store. Without completing the challenge, that wasn't possible since the entry point was blocked, and Aakesh wasn't going to take the system's help for something like that.

"What do you think about joining my camp?" Halie asked spiritually a prisoner locked in the sixth prison to her left.
She knew the man well since she was the one who had brought him to the prison. Most of the prisoners around her were caught by her. The prince locked Halie on that floor for the same reason.
"Hehe!"
The man responded with laughter.
Halie frowned and then turned angry when she heard the man's next sentence.
She almost rushed out of the prison but was unable to do so due to the locks on her hands. It had locked her cultivation, and she couldn't use energy. Halie had no other means of power except for her physical strength and physique, and that was not enough to escape on her own or punish the man.
"Why don't you tell him about the prince's plan to sacrifice the prisoners?"
Aakesh suddenly interrupted and asked with a confused tone in his voice.
"Do you think it matters for that bastard?" Halie scoffed with an angry face.
"What do you mean by sacrifice?"
The man locked in the next prison suddenly asked Aakesh with a surprised expression.
"The second prince has decided to employ the help of outsiders to win against the fourth prince, and for that, the outsiders demanded sacrifices. Since the second prince is in immediate need, he accepted that decision, and this floor's prisoners have been set as the sacrifice," Aakesh solemnly informed the man.
"Do you think the second prince will dare to lock Miss Halie inside the prison? She is here because she fought against that evil bastard for his betrayal of the Empire," Aakesh further added.
"Why are you telling them that? Do you think these animals care about anything other than themselves?" Halie growled, not happy with Aakesh for telling the prisoners.
"Hmph, do you think a trick like that will work on us?" A prisoner suddenly scoffed.
"See, you can only help those who want to get help," Halie coldly commented, berating Aakesh for thinking of helping the prisoners.
Aakesh could only helplessly sigh with a heartbroken face since he had expected the prisoners to band together to fight against the prince after he shared the truth.
"Do you think we can survive if we join you," One of the prisoners couldn't help but ask.
From the hurry and heartbreak in that stranger's tone, he couldn't help but trust in what the man said.
"I don't know. I just want to fight for that survival and not die without even trying," Aakesh responded with a righteous tone.
"When will you learn?" Halie helplessly commented, getting frustrated by Aakesh's personality.
"How do the two of you know each other?" One of the prisoners suddenly asked.
Even the shortest time for a prisoner on the floor was hundreds of years, so they had no idea about Aakesh. Aakesh had used that for his benefit to weave a certain image of himself and the prince.
Aakesh looked lovingly at Halie, and it was caught by the prisoner who was locked right in front. But as soon as Halie turned around to look at him, Aakesh immediately moved his eyes away, not wanting to get caught.
"He is my most trusted subordinate," Halie commented.
"Subordinate, huh!"
The prisoner in front scoffed, and as if not caring about Aakesh's feelings at all, he added, "It is more of a love story. That guy loves her."
A panicked expression appeared on Aakesh's face, and he glared at the man in front, which resulted in an even louder laughter.
"Boy, how about you join us instead of her, and we will enjoy her together."
Aakesh's eyes turned red from anger. He immediately stood up and rushed to the door, trying to force himself out. He looked like a beast staring at the man, which in turn further increased the laughter.
"Okay, calm down. I want to know your plans if you want us to join?"
A prisoner who had been silent all that time suddenly interrupted and asked. His voice was like magic, and the laughter immediately disappeared.
Aakesh, on the other hand, ignored the man and still tried to force his way out in anger.
The man frowned, but before he could say anything, Halie asked Aakesh to sit down.
Aakesh immediately stopped and returned to his seat, but he would look at the man with red eyes from time to time.
"Let me correct you; I don't want you to join. I would rather die than free myself with your help," Halie spat.
"Okay, okay! I know you want to get out so you can punish the second prince for his betrayal and join the Empire." The man raised his hand, accepting his mistake.
Hmph! Halie simply scoffed in response and didn't say anything.
Cough!
Aakesh suddenly coughed and brought the attention of everyone to himself.
