Chapter 1558: The Garden of Herbs!
The garden was endless with numerous herbs, but the majority of them were used for Divine Lord and True God levels. Since the challenge didn't count anything below Lesser God as a successful harvest, Aakesh didn't waste his time on them.
In the few minutes he had been here, Aakesh had seen numerous herbs, but neither of them were for Higher Gods or Supreme Gods. The highest level he met was Lesser God, and since it was a healing herb, Aakesh ignored it.
The herbs for Lesser Gods were useful to Aakesh since he could use quantity. For every one of the three hundred required spots, Aakesh could pluck ten herbs for the Lesser God level to make up for it.
After a few more minutes, Aakesh finally touched the first fully ripe herb that could be used for Higher God level cultivators. It was a herb that was the primary resource in the pill required for solving illusions. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
If Aakesh plucked it out, he would be faced with illusions of that level. He didn't care and as per the requirement of the herb, plucked it out.
The next moment, he found himself back on the island he had been on after completing the second store upgrade quest.
The endless pool of water around the small island was not calm and slowly devoured every bit of the island.
Snap!
Aakesh snapped his fingers, and the next moment, the island and the endless pool of water cracked like glass shards. Following that, Aakesh returned to the garden with the herb already packed in a beautiful box.
The illusion might have affected him if the water had that terrifying creature in it. He had expected the illusion not to have that since that creature was incredibly strong. Even the Sacred Dimension was unable to bear it, let alone the illusion caused by the herb's negative effect.
Aakesh then stored the box in his inner world and walked in search of the subsequent herb.
Time flew by, and minutes passed in the blink of an eye. Aakesh had been in the garden for around an hour and had only taken out seven herbs. Of which three were for Lesser Gods, three were for Higher Gods, and only one was for Supreme Gods.
Considering the requirement, Aakesh had only fulfilled four of the three hundred required. The reason for that was the excessive number of different herbs required for mental or physical healing. He was ignoring them, or he would have at least plucked out five times the number he currently had.
A few seconds later, Aakesh finally came across the second herb that was useful to Supreme God level cultivators. It was an extinct herb that was the primary material of the pill used to enhance the fire element compatibility for a temporary duration.
Its negative effect was the reduction of compatibility for ten times the duration of what the best quality pill could provide. Aakesh didn't care about the negative effects since his compatibility came from his bloodline, and the effect couldn't affect him unless it could suppress his bloodline.
As expected, Aakesh plucked out the herb, and nothing happened at all.
Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.
The most difficulty Aakesh came across was when he plucked out an herb required in the summoning pill. Its negative effect was to summon several Higher Gods to attack.
Fortunately for Aakesh, the duration was only one moment, so Aakesh somehow survived, but he had reached his limit and was almost on the verge of using the system's protection.

When Aakesh walked out of the portal, he had numerous injuries across his body. In the end, he was forced to take the help of the system's protection, so as per the decision, he had to leave the city and pursue no further challenges.
The plucking out and facing the negative effect seemed like an easy challenge, but it wasn't since the deeper he went into the garden, the more exaggerated the adverse effects became.
The one Aakesh had to employ the help of the system was an herb that had soothing properties and could calm all the stress. Its negative effect was that he got engulfed in powerful flames that could turn a Supreme God into ashes.
The system had to automatically act and rescue him, bringing his adventure in the city to an end.
The city had no fixed coordinates and duration, so there was no surety of how long the city in the sky and Thorr City would remain connected. Aakesh decided to enter next when his cultivation had grown further.
Since Aakesh had stepped into the True God level, he could fly without the system's help. He immediately floated upward and rushed in the direction of the store. No one noticed Aakesh, as no cultivators above intermediate Lesser God were in the queue.
There were still several hours left before sunrise, so Aakesh sat down in meditation. His injuries fully recovered the moment he stepped inside the store.
He had to upgrade the stone after stepping into the True God level. Ordinary Sacred stones no longer worked for him, and he could only absorb the energy from purer, higher Sacred stones.
Since Aakesh had them in sufficient numbers for a while, he didn't have to worry about not having them for meditation.
Aakesh immediately took out a stone and began absorbing its energy. He sensed the growth in his absorption rate, and it wasn't a small change.
Earlier, Aakesh could absorb a mug's worth of energy, and after the breakthrough, that had grown to a tub. In only ten minutes, Aakesh had fully absorbed the stone, and it turned into dust following that.
The faster his absorption rate, the better for him, so Aakesh nodded in appreciation and no longer cared about it.
Time flew by, and hours passed in a flash.
[Host, the sun is about to rise in Thorr and its nearby cities!]
Aakesh opened his eyes as the system's mechanical alert rang in his ears. He immediately looked to his right and saw the screen waiting for him.
