Chapter 395: Pretending to be a Powerhouse

Patriarch Coleman frowned in irritation. This guy actually dared to disregard him in front of everyone! However, he didn't hastily make a move. This was because he couldn't sense this man's cultivation level. 'Is this person someone from Northern Trance? I don't remember seeing this guy when I last visited that place.'

"I'll hold back that guy! You guys deal with that Featherkind fellow." Patriarch Coleman shouted. He couldn't let this opportunity slip by. If the patriarch of the Featherkind Family was eliminated, they would have one less Nascent Soul Esper to deal with.

The two Nascent Soul Espers of the Coleman Family immediately rushed out as soon as he gave the command.

Patriarch Silverton and another Nascent Esper pursued them, but Patriarch Ravimbert and another expert blocked their path. "We are your opponents!"

Patriarch Silverton furrowed his eyebrows. "Stay out of my way, Old Man Ravimbert!" He shouted with a furious look.

Patriarch Ravimbert grinned when he saw his expression. "Do you think I'm afraid of you? I admit that you were stronger than me before, but a long time has passed since then. I'm no longer the same person as I was back then. If you want to help your friends, then you have to step over my corpse!"

Patriarch Silverton bellowed in rage. He swung his sword at Patriarch Ravimbert, bringing about a gust of fierce wind.

Patriarch Ravimbert's expression turned serious. He didn't dare take this attack lightly. He lifted his weapon and conjured a shield, blocking the blade winds from slashing through his body.

Meanwhile, the other experts also clashed with each other.

At this moment, Patriarch Coleman hovered five hundred meters across Aethelwolf. He looked down on him with his arms crossed.

"I don't like that arrogant mug on your face, old man." Aethelwolf chuckled as he slowly lifted himself off the ground.

Patriarch Coleman laughed upon hearing his words. "It seems like we don't like each other. State your name. I don't want to kill a nameless man."

Aethelwolf pulled his sword with a taunting grin. "A dead doesn't need to know my name."

Veins protruded on Patriarch Coleman's face. "You arrogant prick! How dare you look down on this old man?! Prepare to die!"

He grabbed his axe and pounced aggressively towards Aethelwolf. He moved so fast that it looked like he had teleported in front of Aethelwolf!

"Die!" Patriarch Coleman's axe struck out, bringing about the force of a mountain.

Aethelwolf narrowed his eyes. This old man was a lot stronger than he had expected. 'This guy is probably a bit stronger than that Argent fellow.'

He lifted his sword to deflect the axe which abruptly stopped its momentum.

CLANG!

A violent sound echoed when their weapons clashed.

Patriarch Coleman felt his arms going numb from the impact. He even almost lost grip on his axe. 'Dammit! How is this guy so strong?!' He was feeling a bit horrified.

In that clash, he sensed the overwhelming physical strength of his opponent.

He had always been confident about his axe and he never once lost in a frontal battle. However, this guy managed to effortlessly block his weapon!

"Just who are you?!" There was a trace of wariness in Patriarch Coleman's voice.

Aethelwolf grinned. "Are you afraid? Do you sense the difference in our skills now?"

Hearing this taunting voice, Patriarch Coleman's eyes boiled with rage. "Hmph!" He pushed off his axe and created some distance between them. 'If I can't win in strength, how about in terms of energy?' Thinking about this, he sent streams of energy in his weapon, further augmenting its power. He then released a spell in the form of a descending lightning dragon that caused the air to twist and turn!

"Oh?" Aethelwolf finally took the battle seriously. He performed a unique movement and conjured a wall of ice in front of him. This was one of the defensive skills he created back then.

The incorporeal lightning dragon let out a furious roar as it crushed into Aethelwolf's ice wall.

The collision was so intense that it sent shockwaves across the sky!

Aethelwolf's ice wall collapsed and the lightning dragon continued charging its way towards him.

ROAR!!!

The lightning dragon opened its mouth as if intending to devour him whole!

Seeing this, Aethelwolf smirked coldly. He gracefully swiped his sword, creating a ring of flame that struck the lightning dragon.

Sparks and flames flew in all directions as the flame ring and the lightning dragon clashed. It was like someone had lit up a fireworks display. The sight was beautiful and dreadful at the same time.

When the smoke subsided, two figures could be seen hovering across each other. Neither of them was injured, but Patriarch Coleman's face looked pale. 'How did he survive that move?' The move he used was the strongest in his arsenal, but his opponent managed to destroy it without even breaking a sweat. When he realized this, a terrifying thought emerged in his mind.

'Is this person a Void Tempering powerhouse?'

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Aethelwolf chuckled with his left hand behind his back. He was just keeping a facade since it hurt badly after blocking that lightning dragon. It was still shaking so he hid it behind him with a pretentious smile.

"Sir, why does a Void Tempering Esper like you have to involve yourself in our dispute? How about you stop here? I will pay you a personal visit once this matter is over and I will offer you a big present. What do you think?" Patriarch Coleman carefully said while observing his expression.

'Void Tempering?!' Everyone stopped in their tracks when they heard this.

All of them turned their gazes at the peerless figure. He looked carefree and relaxed as if their battle was child's play for him.

Aethelwolf almost broke his facade when he heard the old man's words. However, he was a veteran actor. "You actually noticed?" He pretended to be surprised.

Patriarch Coleman's expression hardened when he heard his admittance.
