Chapter 665 Interrogation
Chapter 665 Interrogation
Since he said that everything would be alright, Jia Li stopped worrying a bit, and sent FangSu a text, asking her to call her as soon as she got time to make a call.
FangSu was currently speaking with the two detectives at her agency. They had come directly to her workplace to speak to her, concerning Mark and Bai Jun.
FangSu initially, did not want to mention Mark doing drugs before they broke up, because she wanted Bai Jun to rot in jail, but on second thought, she said the truth, especially when the detectives asked for the reason she broke up with her boyfriend.
"Miss Fu, do you think that Miss Bai who is your ex-best friend, has nothing to do with the hard drugs in the room she lodged in? Do you think she is innocent?"
FangSu smiled and said, "I wouldn't say she is innocent, because she is aware that Mark is into drugs. Since she knew this, she shouldn't have gotten involved with him."
The detectives nodded and threw another question at her, "Do you have any idea of the reason your ex-boyfriend came to China?"
FangSu was not caught unaware of these questions, not because she knew she would be asked that question, but because she already knew the response to give.
"Please address Mark as Mark and not as my ex-boyfriend. I wouldn't know why he came down here all the way from the united states, but what I do know is that he collided with Miss Bai to ruin my fiance's birthday party. You can verify what I'm saying from XXXXX club and the police station they spent the night at."
The detectives asked FangSu some other questions which she gave a reply before they left.
FangSu finally got some time and saw Jia Li's text, and gave her a call. Her voice sounded cheerful from the end which helped to calm Jia Li down.
After making sure that she was fine, Jia Li asked her out for dinner. "Let's dine at XXXXX by 5 pm."
"You are taking me out? This is good news! I wish I could get into more trouble now, so you can pay more attention to me." FangSu while laughing. She was very happy that she got a dinner date with her sister-in-law.
"Don't talk like that..." Jia Li cautioned. She didn't like the fact that she talked about getting into trouble.
FangSu took the correction and said she would meet her at the restaurant by that time, just before their conversation came to an end.
The investigation on the hard drugs found in the room FangSu had booked after Mark, continued. Bai Jun still denied knowing about the hard drug and where it came from, but a test conducted on her showed that she had ingested the hard drug itself.
If she had nothing to do with it, how then did she get to ingest it? Bai Jun was also shocked when the test results came back positive, she nearly fainted. She was in Panic and shock after the test result was shown to her. Even she became confused and wondered if she had mistakenly taken the hard drug.
During the few minutes break, she was given before the interrogation continued, Bai Jun used it to recover from her shock.
Now back to questioning, she was asked how she came in contact with the drug, why she took it, how long she has been doing it, and the dealer she bought it from.
There was no way Bai Jun could answer that question because she truly had no knowledge of the drug, so she blamed Mark for it.
"It must be Mark, I'm sure he set me up! He was the one that asked me to come to see him at the hotel, without knowing that he had already checked out. He told me to come over to talk about something."
"Surely he must have told you what he wanted to talk about, so what was it?" The detective asked, but Bai Jun could not give any response, because she was guilty on that part.
"We wanted to talk about business, anyway, forget it. I think Mark did this to me, it's obvious!" FangSu insisted.
"And why do you think he would do this to you since you two were close?"
When Bai Jun refused to answer that question, the second detective helped her out. He asked if it was because they were locked up in the police station for crashing FangSu's party.
Seeing her shocked gaze, the detectives confirmed that their guesses were right.
"Miss Bai, you don't know the deep trouble you are in, and my advice to you is to start talking and say the truth."
The detectives went on to tell her about the real truth they found out despite the lies she had told them before, which shocked her a little.
Bai Jun didn't want to get into more trouble, so she ended up spilling the truth to some of the questions she was asked earlier.
Further investigation, showed that Bai Jun didn't know about the drugs, but the detectives needed a piece of hard evidence to prove it since she lied about Mark in the beginning and purposely hid the fact that he was into drugs before.
More questions about the hotel were asked, and Bai Jun told her story. She said everything that transpired from the time Mark called her in the morning of the previous day and told her to come over, till the time she was arrested and taken into custody.
The detectives were able to guess something from what she told them. She had taken an orange juice which was already in the refrigerator of the hotel room, before ordering some dishes.
To the detectives, it was possible that she must have ingested the drug through the orange juice or the food she ate at the hotel.
The room tie drug was still locked, and the entire hotel had stopped operation since the incident, and from this new deduction, the detectives went back to the hotel to investigate.
